Ronja looked at Harper, mustering a small smile at the reassurance. She was lucky to have such a nice friend!

"Ronja will be counting on you being the bad cop, then... She really, really can't do that." She chuckled, a bit sheepish at her inability, but also comforted that Harper wouldn't judge her for it. When questioned about her strength, Ronja tilted her head, pondering for a moment.

"... Huh? Ronja doesn't really have muscles, but... She did grab a biomagitechnological upgrade that greatly enhance her strength capabilities." Ronja explained, pausing for a moment before frowning. "Most of the time it is useless though since she doesn't have any martial fighting to use it."

Why did she even grab it in first place?

... Regardless... As soon as they got into the cave, and settling down the bandits, the two of them looked at each other, then back at Harper and Ronja. With all of them surrendered, there wasn't much more point on hiding anything, especially when they held no loyalty for- "That fatto." One answered, rudely and averting her gaze.

The other bandit looked at her, then back at Harper. "A dude told us to steal the merchants from this area. He said he would buy everything for the triple of its market price. A bargain! We couldn't ignore it!"

"Hey, you never know when having that extra power comes in handy. Life is full of heavy obstacles being thrown in your way, sometimes very much literally." She would note, raising one of her fingers. "One of the first things that happened to me in Terrasphere was almost having a log fall on me, you know. So I can guarantee that its at the very least good to have on your pocket."

As she finished, she would grab the Magia's robotic hand with a smile before lifting it up, looking up and down her arm.

"Besides, looking at you doing all this heavy lifting with these noodly arms is very funny, hehe."

Letting go of the arm, she would turn to the bandits, who were now openly talking about what seemed to be their employer, and what they had asked of them. With a small snort at their answer, she would shake her head. "So... No sad story, no hatred for the current status quo, no big dream of any kind... You all are just a bunch of barely martially-capable peeps who got promised free, easy money."

Putting her hands by her waist, she would look down at the lot with a disappointed gaze. "What happened to honest, hard work? You all expected to just find merchants and villagers down that road forever, I bet. And look what happened when you didn't. Lucky for you all, the villagers have put up a request to help you snap out of it and not a bounty for your heads." With a sigh, she would bring her hand to cover her face, before continuing as she started to fix her mane of orange, black and white hair.

"Did this "Fattso" even hand out any of the promised extra money, or have you just been giving him stuff and waiting? The answer to this might change my view of you all from stupid to stupid stupid." She would comment, twirling her hair around one of her fingers. "While we are at that, are you all even sure of how much he is making from whatever he is getting from you all to be sure you are getting three times the price? I feel like he's the type to pull up stunts like that on fools to fill his own pockets."

Ronja smiled with a faint blush, well humoured about Harper's perspective regarding her thin arms being able to carry so much weight... Albeit all of that was superficial, nothing but a trick of magitechnology that made her be far stronger than her humanoid anatomy would show.

"You are right... Ronja will try to use her strength as much as she can to get rid of the obstacles that will come in front of her..." She said, then facing the bandits. "Which includes these kind of troublemakers." She sighed.

Harper's questions annoyed the bandits, especially when it came with insults.

"Of course we've been gettin' the money, we wouldn't be going through the trouble if we didn't!" One scowled, huffing and averting her gaze.

The doubt regarding the triple of price did make one pause, a bit confused.

"I-I mean... It is a lot of gold. More gold than we ever saw in our pockets, so... I... Think?" After the reveal, it was clear that they never really double checked.

"Still! It is a lot of money that fattso is paying." She huffed.

"Gotcha. So you bunch aren't actually as stupíd as I thought! Not a particularly high bar to clear, but I'm taking whatever I can get."

She'd say in a somewhat mocking tone, clapping a few times. She knew she was very much instigating the group of bandits, but the tigress figured that riling them up a bit would make them cough up the answers the pair wanted. Speaking of said answers...

"On that line of thought, I'd imagine you would regularly meet him to make the exchanges. Does he use a middleman, or are the exchanges more direct? Is it on a set day of the week? Month? Or do they have a den you bunch go to whenever you get loot?"

Harper would now ask them a bunch of questions, but the crux between all of them was similar: How to find their boss.

"I ask this because, at the end of the day, we are here to stop the robberies. And now that we know that you were doing it under someone's request, merely kicking your asses ain't gonna cut it. So, I'm going to ask you all to tell me all you can about this "Fattso.". Do so, and Ronja and I will say a good word for the villagers when we get you all back to the town. Who knows, maybe they'll let you all get by with just honest labor instead of sending you off to jail."

As she finished stating her plea to the bandits, she'd turn to Ronja with a sigh, shaking her head as she put her hands by her waist.

"I think that BBQ boar is going to have to wait a bit more. Shame too, I was already looking forward to not eating bland meat for once..." She'd lament, but she was clearly being over-the-top about it on purpose, the Tigress eventually letting out a chuckle after only a bit of keeping the gig up.

"So, what do you think? Noble, crime baron, maybe another hobgoblin? Who is our "Fattso", in your opinion?"

"HEY!" One of the bandits scowled, annoyed at the constant insulting the tigress was pulling out, making her sigh and roll her eyes as she struggled to keep a good behavior by now. But the fact they could be stomped at any moment made her think twice before doing it.

Ronja slipped a giggle at the situation, though she was feeling bad about the bandits, the villagers weren't wrong when they said they were just a group of idiots.

"Ronja agrees with Harper. We would be willing to tell good things about you, and maybe you all can find an actual job. Maybe working as adventurers? It gives a lot of gold." She suggested.

"Adventurers? Are you joking? I don't want to fucking die by some abomination..." She squinted.

The big bandit then cleared his throat. "As for the... uh... Fattso..." He looked at the fellow bandit for a moment, and she nodded with a shrug. "He is like... a Starcalled. A dangerous fellow, I'd say. He sells a lot of stuff." The bandit paused, looking around and leaning in. "And lately he has been into this merchant deal... He does have a group too, and we do meet him sometimes." He admitted.

"What?"

Harper turned to the one that scowled, raising an eyebrow at her. She wasn't going to do anything to someone who was already down and tied up, but she couldn't deny that it was a good lot of fun to play bad cop and tease people like that. Once she settled down, Harper noticed Ronja's giggle and smiled as well, resting a hand on her own hip.

It was good to see that while somewhat out of her element in an interrogation like this, Ronja was still finding some enjoyment here and there, being as nice as she is. Though one's the bandit's comments caught back the tigress's attention, her feline ears perking up and turning towards the bandit who commented on Ronja's suggestion to become adventurers.

"Then you'll die the moment a merchant gets tired of your shenanigans and hire a band of sellswords. Both ways, you die with your pockets full. All that changes is that someone might miss you when you're gone."

She would walk up to the bandit, crouching down and cupping her chin with her furred hand to have them meet eye-to-eye.

"Or do you prefer that the only honor your remains get is the occasional animal relieving themselves nearby? Is that what you think you deserve?"

Letting go of her chin, she would shrug with her shoulders as she went back to Ronja's side. "Not that heading head-first into danger is your only choice. Could always become a baker or a farmer or anything really! I'm not asking you all to just get up and make a choice but... Think about it, alright?"

The tigress would let a symphatetic sigh, putting both hands on her waist now as she tapped the tip of her toe behind her. "In any case, we need to deal with your Starcalled boss first. Any idea where to generally find him, so me and my partner here can also talk with him?"

As Harper approached the bandit threateningly, even Ronja felt slightly intimidated, with the bandit realizing her words and tone only too late, and tholding her breath as she tried to scoot away, only to have her chin cupped, making her breath freeze as she was forced to look at Harper.

"A-Ah, no, no, that's... That's not--" She swallowed, letting out the breath she was holding as soon as Harper released her.

The duo was forced to listen to Harper's scolding and advice, exchanging glances while Ronja approached herself, resting a hand on her friend's shoulder and giving her a small and admiring smile before nodding along. "Harper is right, even if you failed to fight someone capable, are dumb, got easily ambushed by us, are stubborn-"

"H-Hey now..." The other bandit puffed his cheeks.

"- And haven't made any good life choice so far... Ronja really likes that you did work together for so long, and you didn't try to leave your friends behind either... So Ronja doesn't think you are cowards or anything..." She looked at the two of them. "And we could help them to find something... Can't we, Harper?" Her eyes were sparkling with a pleading expression.

The bandits eventually sighed, defeated, and probably not entirely convinced, however...

"I-- We can bring you to the fattso-" The bandit said, then looking at her friend.

"... Yeah. And we can help to give him a lesson. You guys are strong, but his numbers are big... And he has help of demihumans too."

Harper chuckled when Ronja went on and on about their mistakes and problems, hiding it under one of her furred hands. Sometimes the brutal truth could hurt just as bad as a sling of insults. Returning Ronja's hand on her shoulder with one of her own, she would add to Ronja's request towards the bandits. "Of course we can! Hard work brings out the best of us, and there's no harder work than fighting!"

There was a small pause as the tigress fell in thought for a moment, before shrugging.

"Well, maybe accounting, but that's not here or there! What matters is that you guys are young, full of life and opportunities! So I say we bury this awful chapter of your lives into the ground alongside those bastard's heads and then we can all go our merry ways, and I'm sure the villagers will be happy to know that you all solved their banditry problem for good. In fact..."

She would walk towards the group, unleashing a singular claw with a smile on her face. But this time, they would find her intentions much more amicable as she ripped up their bindings one by one.

"Take this as my vote of confidence on you all turning a new leaf. Now, the ones that can walk should get up and help us as promised. The ones who can't should either stay here or get carried back to the village and stay in custody until then." She'd clap a few times, before starting to walk back towards the entrance of the cave. "We better hurry, unless you all fancy fighting both the fattso, his militia and the local wildlife! I wouldn't mind either, so feel free to choose, haha!"

Ronja's smile only grew as Harper went on with a more encourageous speech, though her eyes grew wide open as her friend pulled out her claws, approaching the bandits that were initially as much startled as Ronja, who tried to calm the tigress down...

The smile the girl held, however, proved to be docile, and soon the bandits had their ropes cut down.

Notice

Brawler Bandit (Seth) and Swift Bandit (Berta) has joined your party!

Addition: They've acquired 'image reference'.

The female bandit rubbed her wrists, letting out a relieved sigh. "Phew... Thank you for your trust-- Wait! Don't leave us in here!" She tried to reach out for the tigress.

"Y-Yeah, boss! Our comradres are still unconscious!" The other bandit said, picking the fellow bandits and trying to place them in a more comfortable position.

"Ronja supposes we need to wait just a little bit... Well... At least you can tell us about what we should expect, then-" Ronja crossed her arms, waiting patiently for an explanation.

While the fallen bandits were still waking up, the duo explained a bit further about how things worked after their stealing activities. They would bring their goods to a specific isolated area, where they and the fattso and his minions (or sometimes only the minions) traded the goods with the gold.

Eventually, the fallen bandits began waking up, but being the ones that took the worst of the hits, they couldn't afford to venture just yet.

With this, the first duo guided Harper and Ronja, until they would spot a secluded camp.

"Here we are..." He muttered, hiding behind the tall vegetation. "... They are already waiting for us, I think."

From the distance they held, they could see that the camp was well populated, not only by common humanoids but also by more barbaric creatures such as Orcs. They carried crates and barrels, fueling rows of caravans that remained parked along with their horses.

One man caught their attention though, he was large, not too tall, and wielding a very impressive ginger beard. One could hardly call that man someone suspicious, with an charismatic face and round rosy cheeks that almost made him look like a nordic Santa Claus, or at the very least a cool uncle.

"Hah, there is... That fattso" Berta gestured to the man, turning to look at Harper and Ronja. "But as you can see, that guy is surrounded by people. A coward, to say the least."

Ronja nodded, rubbing her chin and glancing at Harper.

"With this many enemies, Ronja proposes that we should be cautious... Maybe she could survey the area with her aid-lings... But..." She sighed. "Ronja is also unsure, trying to sneak in may make us lose our surprise effect, if we are caught." Ronja explained the pros and cons.

"But if we do manage to go straight to the 'fattso' without dealing with everyone else, we may have an easier time to deal with the boss and flee as fast as possible. Hit and run tactic, really."
She smirked a bit.

"So... What do you think, Harper? Feeling confident to sneak in, or do you prefer to go face to face?"
Ronja questioned, wondering what her friend would be willing to do.

"O-oh, right. Gotcha, we can wait."

Harper's hot-bloodness and eagerness to act had made her genuinly forget that she had made about half of them earn a month's worth of medical care, and thus were in no position to walk. Oops. Though she tried to hide it by turning away slightly, there was a hint of embarassment displayed on the usually proud tigress's face. Sitting down, she would wait and listen to the bandit's further explanations about what they were about to face.

---

"So that's the mofo... Definitely doesn't look like the type that would be out here commanding a ring of thieves, but what would I know about being a criminal?" She would complain in a whisper as she watched the bandits come and go from behind the group's hiding spot. "Well, he sure doesn't look like much of a fighter either, but he could be packing some magical knowledge. Not to mentioned the platoon of mercs at his side, of course..."

Harper's bestial eyes darted around, analyzing the situation in front of her. When the bandits said that the fattso had a lot of people around him, they weren't joking. And while Harper figured her strength was good enough to push off a dozen of them if they tried to pile up on her, there were more than a dozen people there, and that was not to say of the others with her. Ronja might be able to keep herself safe with her jet boots, but the other two might not be so lucky.

"No need to make this messy and risky. We go around the back, take out whoever is there and then drag him somewhere else where we can have our talk with him. I'll do the dragging since, you know, he's a fattso. So the rest of you can make sure we aren't being followed in the meanwhile. Sounds good to you all?" She would turn her gaze towards the men and the fattso once again. "I'd gather they are probably starting to wonder why are you guys taking so long, so I feel we might lose our shot if we wait too much."

Turning back to Ronja and the group, she'd give them a thumbs-up and smile. "We just need to be quick and efficient. Eat lightning and crap thunder. Now let's get moving."

"Quick and efficient, that's our middle name." Berta said confidently.

"Didn't we have our arse kicked th- Ack-" Seth's words were cut short by a punch.

Harper's more stealthy decision to this scenario made Ronja sparkle in surprise. It seemed like her friend knew how to pick up a fight, which surely relieved the magia, that thought that the tigress was too reckless sometimes. "If you say so, then let's go. Ronja will try to use her constructs to buy us some time and create distractions, while you guys work on the kidnapping." Ronja said, raising an index.

"One other thing, she will prepare constructs to buy us time to escape, and another to carry the fattso, so Harper has her free hands to punch and throw things if needed." The magia said, certain that they would need Harper's strength if everything went wrong... But in this case, they needed to be as efficient as possible.

CHALLENGE UP!

The group must succeed on contribution check in two cycles (starting on Harper's next post). If the max value isn't achieved, the attempt to sneak in will fail, and the group will have to face a very difficult challenge and with high stakes.

If the attempt is a success, a second challenge will come up, this one of moderate difficulty and with lower stakes.

You must make any Mastery or Expertise check, as long as it is fitting to your action. Knack and any Mastery that gives Knack bonus gain advantage to the roll. The bandits are also going to make rolls of their own.

Harper allowed herself a chuckle at Seth's expense before bring her focus back, looking at the many guards in front of her. There was no way she could rush this in a safe manner, and that was assuming there weren't any particularly stand-outs amidst them. So she would have to go through it by the seams.

She was a tiger, after all. Might as well put those stripes to the test and prowl like one.

Using the dense foliage of the forest to her favor, Harper would try to quickly and elusively make her way from cover to cover, bush to bush. Small noises could easily be explained by the wind or random critters, and she would try to use this in her favor to make her way closer to the target. This was far from the tigress's forte, and she was relying more on her speed and athleticism to dart from one hiding spot to the next before the bandits really notice.

Her awkwardness with the task at hand was more than noticeable though, the beastkin wanting nothing more than just go and bash some heads already, but she knew that this was the better option for the group. So she kept prowling along, even if she kinda sucked at it.

"Can't wait to dig that fat bastard and his beard into the dirt..." This and other meaner curses were said under her breath as she slowly made her way towards the fattso.

As the group prepared to move in, Ronja quickly prepared a selection of Aid-Lings that could potentially help with the chaos that would allow them to go in and start their 'kidnapping' plan. The propelling constructs began hovering into the hideout, rapidly acquiring information and scouting the area, returning Ronja with information that was quickly spread between her allies.

"Seems like we may have an easier time if we go through there-" Ronja gestured while whispering to the other three, pointing with two fingers at each direction, and bringing nods from both of the bandits.

"Shouldn't be too hard then." Berta muttered. "But we can't hesitate, if we take too long, the patrol will catch us."

"Let's hurry up then. Cautiously." Seth's said, as if he knew the true meaning of that word.

Ronja nodded, then approaching Harper, sneaking in close to her friend.

"Alright... Ronja will be starting off the chaos soon... Are you ready, Harper? You are our best muscles here." She asked.

Having Ronja and the bandits helping her with the stealth part was honestly a godsend, the tigress mainly just following on their footsteps for the time being as to not screw up. She had to give it to the bandits here: Even if they couldn't hold a candle to her in terms of martial prowess, the tigress was very much lightyears behind them in terms of sneaking around. "Each to their own strengths" was what the beastkin eventually decided on as she went along.

"That was the thing I was waiting to hear ever since we got here. Come on, make some noise."

As she waited for Ronja to create the chaos, Harper would crouch down and put her hands into the ground, looking much like a sprinter readying up for the run. These muscles of hers didn't do her much good when it came to sneaking around or being careful, but if there was one thing they could was make her run. Fast. And as soon as Ronja started the mayhem with her bots, Harper would launch herself.

Blitzkrieg. Strike hard and strike fast. Making use of the chaos, Harper would quite literally beeline her way through the confused and panicked militia and attempted to reach their target, knocking what few guards were still focused on the fattso out of the way before trying to get a hold of him and just straight up drag him by the collar into the jungle.

It was far from a refined approach, but it was one that made use of Harper's talents and physique to their fullest. She only hoped Ronja and the bandits could cover their tracks once they had gotten a hold of the noble.

Chaos continuously erupted in the hideout, with Ronja's drones flying around and sending out laser blasts, melting structures and dispersing the lackeys that were guarding that area.

The men screamed, and the noble stared in confusion as Harper approached from behind, sneak and sharp, just like the tigress she was. The tackle on the noble was immediate, barely giving him time to respond- "Arghh?!" He groaned, struggling, but it was futile, not when the tigress already had her grip on him.

During the chaos, only a few of the minions noticed their boss being caught, with one of them readying a crossbow, already aiming at the tigress before a knee suddenly struck them, while an elbow was throw at another.

"Not on my watch... Tigress, we are going, now!"

"You too, Ronja. We gotta get the hell outta here."

"On it-" Ronja responded, reloading her guns and sending a barrage of mana bullets at the directions of the lackeys, forcing them to take cover and buying them a dozen more seconds so they could dart off, running as fast as they could.

"Can you carry him all by yourself, Harper?!" Ronja asked, rushing as fast as her small legs could carry her, while the lackeys finally leaped out of their covers, chasing them with crossbows and blades on them.

On the Run!

Harper had managed to capture the Fattso (She may flavor it in any way she wishes, and she can carry him without any mechanical obstacle). Run away or fight back to get his minions to lose their sight from you.

BANDIT ARBALISTS
12 LP 70 DC 90* DMG
*This horde-type enemy has 15 DMG for every 2 LP (minimum of 15)
❰ 12 / 12 ❱

You may use your Action, Bonus Action, Free Action and Passive as normal. However, you also have the choice of spending your Action to use a Mastery or Expertise Check to 'attack' the enemy, flavoring as you escaping or creating obstacles for them. Regardless of the action you make, you receive damage. But you receive half of it if you use a Check rather than a Standard or Special Action.

Your rolled damage or check must pass the DC to deal at least 1 LP damage, or pass the double of the DC to deal 2 LP damage maximum. If you roll a check instead of an action, you take half of the damage in the cycle.

Critical Hits double the total LP damage.

For every cycle (that resets at the end of Ronja's post) with the bandits LP above 0, one complication will occur:
  1. No Escape. One of you are pinned down in a way or another. The pinned target becomes 'Vulnerable' this cycle. If the target reaches 0 HP, or is pinned when the LP of the bandits reach 0, the group escape without them. To get someone out of the pin, they must freed with a successful DC 70 Fitness or Knack Check against the Arbalists.

  2. Poisoned bolts. One of you are shot with projectiles dripping with a tranquilizer poison. Your rolls decrease to -5. Make a DC 70 Fortitude Save at the start of every turn, adding -5 to the penalty. If you fail the save two times, you become paralyzed and must be carried away by someone else or be left behind.

  3. Focused aim. The bandits decide to focus in a random single target. You receive 3d10 damage.

  4. Volley of bolts. The bandits decide to attack with a volley of bolts, hitting everyone on the field. Everyone receives 1d10 damage.
Berta and Seth won't do any action, however, they may assist on dealing with Complications, each of them can give Advantage to one roll from Ronja or Harper (if they do, however, they receive DMG). They can also be targetted and have their own LP and saves.

Berta is Healthy (3/3) LP
Seth is Healthy (3/3) LP

They struck hard. They struck fast. And by all metrics, the group's plan had worked to perfection. Yet it still wasn't enough for them to manage a clear getaway, some of the more attentive goons now being hot on Harper's trail. It wouldn't usually be any problem for her, but being occupied with dragging their quarry made her awfully vulnerable, especially given that she had made quite the reckless dash through the camp and couldn't care that much about her surroundings.

That's why having the bandits covering her blindstops was certainly a godsend, the tigress looking back to see the two of them dispatching some guards who were aiming straight at her nape. Shooting a smile at them, she would nod before turning her attention back into getting the hell out of there. "Remind me to buy everyone a drink after we are done! Now let's book it!"

As they made their way through the dense foliage, Harper had to do her best to navigate the uneven terrain while dragging a screaming, struggling noble behind her. It was certainly an arduous task, but it was manageable. Still, she figured it would be quite hard to lose them if they just kept running, so it was a good idea to do something about the screaming at least.

"One of you, gag this goddamn sewer cork! I don't care how, just shut him up so he doesn't send the whole jungle our way! I'll slow the others down while you do that!"

Tightening the grip on the fattso's collar, she would send him sliding forwards a good distance with a movement of her arm, not caring much for his well-being as she turned back to face the chasing militia. Thinking quick on her feet, she aimed her sights at a nearby tree trunk before hurling her leg towards it, decimating a good chunk of it with a kick, before jumping in the air and dropkicking the now damaged tree trunk into the air and directly onto the general direction of the pursuers, seeking to hit as many as she could or at the very least hinder their approach.

Upon landing, she would let out a visible wince of pain. Kicking solid wood hurt no matter how strong you are, after all. Stomping the ground to take her mind away from the pain, Harper would rush back to the group as she hoped they found a way to shut the noble up, for the sake of the mission and her own sanity.

"Harper!" Ronja called for her friend, with a worried tone hinting in her voice as she pressed the run further, turning around to trigger her aid-lings, small propelled drones that darted off at full speed to spray a healing salve on her wounds, while urging the tigress to keep going while attempting to distract the incoming enemies, while Ronja healed herself after being hit by stray bolts.

Meanwhile, Berta took care of thrusting some cloth into the noble's mouth, tying another on top of it, to make sure he would keep quiet for once.

"Fattso, you better be careful with your yelling, we won't be able to unchoke you if you let this cloth slip-" Her tone was malicious, and so was the smirk she showed him.

The barrage of bolts, however, soon showed they had to keep going, and Berta tried to grapple the man, along with Seth... Except the man noticed Harper lagging behind.

"You two keep goin'"

He said, charging in near the tigress, and throwing himself in front of the incoming bolts, trying to deflect them with his blades, and managing to send some out of the tigress' way, at the cost of himself getting some wounds.

"Grrh-" He gritted his teeth.

"HEY! It isn't time to play hero!" Berta scolded.

Ronja blinked at the bandit's action, and a small smile crossed her lips.

"No... It isn't playing hero, it is teamwork! No one will stay behind!" Ronja encouraged, boosting Harper and herself with a hexmagitech barrier, hoping to deflect any incoming attack.

As she stumbled upon landing, Harper started to regret her decision to just go and kick a tree like that. Those things were hard, especially the older ones, and Harper had just slammed her shin with all her might against one. It did the job, but it also reminded the tigress that she doesn't have nearly was much knowledge of the do's and don't of striking as she should, the beastkin internally cursing herself as her leg felt like it was on fire.

Not that she would have that much time to complain, given that the rest of the arbalists were hot on her trail.

"S-Shit-!"

She knew that turning her back here would only expose herself even further, so she did her best to guard her vitals with her arms and legs, bracing for the sharp pain the enemy's bolts would certainly bring. Thus she was most surprised when said pain didn't arrive, courtesy of Seth. The tigress was stunned for a moment, before giving the bandit a smile.

"Guess that makes two drinks for you, Hero~"

She would tease, but she was more than glad to have both his and Ronja's help right now. Springing back up to a running pace, she would quickly make her way towards the now gagged noble, wasting no time in picking things back up as she swung him by the collar once again and onto her shoulders into a Fireman's Carry position. "Alright big man, time for a wild ride!"

They were shooting at all of them, but Harper knew that there was one person they wouldn't dare hitting: The fattso. And Harper would have no qualms in making full use of that, the tigress making use of both Ronja's barrier and the poor sod's body to shield the all of them from any incoming attacks as they fled deeper into the forest.

The tigress knew that it wouldn't be too hard to lose them between the deep foliage. However, she hoped they themselves didn't also get once this was said and done, or else they might just have to spend the night with the fauna like she had joked before. Yeesh.

"Yo, Ronja! Think you can pick a path from up above with your boots? The sooner we lose them the better!"

There was a small smirk from Seth, that continued to rush.

Berta pouted slightly, casting the guy a brief glare and then turning around to face the bandits that continued to follow. "You really don't know when to give up, right?"

Berta growled, using of her Shadow Arts to confuse the enemies- Yet, retaliation came, with bolts flying at her direction, in the form of a barrage that even someone as quick as her got hit by some.

Ronja winced at the attacks, trying to deflect some bolts that came at her own direction, but not before she decided to take action herself.

"Fire in the hole!"

She abruptly halted, throwing a spherical bomb that erupted a stunning explosion, sending a couple of bandits rolling on the ground, knocked out while some remained and continued to charge, though in far lower numbers.

Her eyes then turned to the tigress, nodding. "Got it-" She confirmed, clicking her boots together a couple times and sending herself flying, gaining height and trying to spot potential paths to escape, which was when she found the best path, waving down at her friend and pointing at where she should go.

'Almost there!'

She mouthed, hoping Harper could see it.

Looking up, Harper replied to Ronja's mouthing with a wink, relaying that she had gotten the message. Having eyes in the sky like that was very much a god send at this point, as she was busy enough just trying to make her way through the trees with such a large payload on her shoulders. It certainly didn't help that the noble was struggling for all his worth, and while he didn't have much in the way of muscle, his mass still made it somewhat effective in throwing Harper off her game.

"Ugh, just cease already! Do you want to fall at this speed, you damn buffoon?!"

Taking a glance back at the remaining enemies, it was clear that they had already gone through a good bunch of their chasers, but the ones still in pursuit were definitely more determined than Harper initially thought. And those were just the ones that managed to keep up with them for the time being, not counting all the rest who had been left behind from their sudden strike, but that would eventually catch up to them with the right guidance. If they were allowed to keep tracking them, they would be overwhelmed in no time.

So even if Harper was somewhat busy carrying their prized prisoner, she still needed to do her best to deal with the arbalists. And learning from her earlier mistake, she picked a thinner tree this time, ripping a good chunk of the trunk with a powerful swipe of her claw before getting a good hold of it and throwing at an incoming pair of bandits. Her aim wasn't exact, but it was not like it needed to be when using a big enough bullet.
"Hoooooooryah!"

And true her attack would be, knocking the pair down. "Haha! Get bent!" Gloating for a bit as she laughed, Harper would seem distracted enough for the final bandit to try and sneak up on her with a knife. Her arms were busy with the fireman's carry and her legs were weighed down, so the bandit figured it was the best shot he would have at taking down that bastard all day.

As he dashed, primed to stab through the tigress's back, he would be able to notice a slight twitch of one of her feline ears before something struck his abdomen hard, leaving him out of breath as he dropped his knife, wheezing in utter confusion. None of her limbs had moved, so what had struck him?! It wouldn't take him too long to figure it out though, as a striped tail would creep up in front of his vision for a moment before unleashing a barrage of blunt strikes against his body, finishing with a sweeping strike across his jaw much like a baseball bat which left him laying face-down and knocked out. "...Heh. Always wanted to try that out. Alright, we're done here! Keep leading the way, Ronja!"

With her little test done with, Harper would rush towards the group to regroup. At this point, her only worry left is whether the fattso had eaten something recently or not. Getting vomit out of her fur and clothes was not how she wanted to end the day, after all.
