She'd been here this whole time. There was a bit of a scuffle out in the forest at some point between her, a Starcalled and an... She's just gonna call it an Eel and move on. It's not important. But for the moment she is moving onward with her life. Which meant selling her latest catch. Yeah she had no idea how to explain the eel aside from a starcalled coming to help her out with fishing. Old guy, he seemed cool, if a bit scary.

She walked around with a basket in hand full of fish, just trying to find a stall to sell to. Making calls out to random passers that she has fish for sale! Ishtara smiled brightly as she walked, along. Her ears tuned for anyone calling out for her or in any degree just noticing her as she walked by. If there were some bad eggs among the crowd who didn't like her race, she'd have to either run, hide or fight... Something she very much did not want to do at the moment!

Taking a lazy stroll through Eastern Brisshal, Ruby had the opportunity to venture through the so called "starter area", that was not that different than any other area in terms of danger, but thanks to protective efforts from factions and veteran players, most of the usual danger could be mitigated.

A bag hanging by her shoulder showed the true reason for her visit: Honey, a lot of it. Along with some pastries. A small task of taking supplies for her Faction, that needed some emergencial provisons after having the headquarters... well... pretty much destroyed.

Her attention, however, was soon caught by a nice smell of fish, making her nose twitch and her double-tail sway, pleased for the small treat the air had brought to her.

Following it, it didn't take long for her to meet a slightly familiar figure, that she didn't quite register at first- "Hello! Are you..."

Ruby paused, "... selling these..?" She frowned, leaning in and perked up her ears as soon a everything connected. "MYAH?! IT IS YOU!" Ruby pointed with her finger, almost sounding accusatory.

Ishtara's ears perked a bit, going back on her head as she heard someone speak, asking if she was sellin- Nope that's someone recognizing her! Her head turned towards the cat woman and looked towards Ruby. There was a definite sign of recognition in her eyes. "Ah- I... Maybe?" Ishtara says with a lil tilt of her head and a grin. Her eyes went along Ruby's face, just scanning along in general, trying to gauge this person's disposition towards her. Ishtara remembered this person from over a year ago at this point. And they had been there on her first log in... Which meant that she was also there when she was pulled out of the game the first time by her boyfriend.

"How have you been?" She asks after a moment, holding the basket of fish out to Ruby. "I am in fact selling these, would you like some?"

Ruby's ears twitched at the mild reaction of the faerin, noticing she didn't seem as surprised at the reunion as she was, and perhaps she didn't even know who she was? For a moment, Ruby felt a bit embarrassed that she was possibly pointing and exclaiming at someone that possibly thought she was a stranger, something that made her face sink in a deep red color before she averted her eyes.

"Y-Yes, yes you are! Don't you remember? We were supposed to fish!" She said, turning and leaning in, pointing at the fishes basket. "But there you are, taking all the fishes to yourself." Ruby sighed, leaning away and crossing her arms, with her double-tail swaying as she looked at them.

"I think I will want some though..." Ruby sighed, scooting closer to look at them.

"... These are all rather generic looking, do you only fish around these areas? Honeygills are great when roasted though..."

"I do remember, don't worry. I'm just glad you're still alive." Ishtara says with a small smile. "I ah... I got interrupted by my boyfriend..." She says then speaks in a low tone so others couldn't hear her. "He logged me out when I didn't log out automatically after a few hours. And when I got logged in I was dragged off by a bunch of guards to some sort of meeting. They wanted me to join a thing and I just decided to not... So I began fishing."

Ishtara smiles and looks down at her fish when they were called generic. The smile falters a bit. "I've... been a bit scared... to go out adventuring, ya know?" She asks as she looks back up to Ruby. "Ah... And... sorry I just kinda vanished on you. I couldn't find you after I got logged out rather forcibly. So I've just been... Here. Blending in. Especially so after some of the current events going on."

Ruby's crossed her arms upon the mention of the faerin's boyfriend being the responsible for her sudden disappearance. She was a bit skeptical, did that girl really only logged in to fish and to get forcibly unplugged from the game by some boy that thought it was a good idea to force someone out of a VR device?

Her mouth half opened to retort it, but the faltering smile followed by an apology made her ears flatten against her head, feeling slightly guilty about jumping on conclusions.

"I mean..." Ruby scratched the back of her head. "Generic is good too. These fishes are tasty." She gestured to the one she had called Honeygills.

"This world is a bit dangerous too, so..." Ruby averted her gaze, letting out a sigh and focusing on Ishtara.

"But it is all a matter of adventuring with more people. As long as you have someone to watch your back, you will be fine. Until you can handle a lot of simpler stuff by yourself."

Ishtara saw that mouth open for a second. "So... Ah, how have you been doing lately? I haven't really heard much about what's going on out there but I've heard that there's been some discrimination against 'players' lately." She looked around a bit. Her eyes scanning the crowd.

"I really haven't had a chance to adventure with others. There was an old guy out in the woods who fished with me recently but I really don't know if I could adventure with him much. Rather ah... Adventure with someone more within my age range." A lil shrug. "If you want I can cook a few of these up and I can pack you some food and stuff for a future adventure that you go on?" Plus it'd be good to have more allies among the Starcalled even if she doesn't travel much herself. She needed friends. Ishtara softly opened up her player menu... "And we could also friend eachother so we can keep in contact this time..."

"Let's say you should be glad you weren't in Astorea when shit has hit the fan. Some corrupted robot woman tried to get us all killed." Ruby summarized it with simple words, leaving out the possibility of being glitched out for eternity, and whatever that could imply into the well being of well... your real self.

"And some players decided to spare that robot and kidnap it instead of destroying it, and here we are now." She shrugged with a sigh, unsure of how to feel about all this hassle.

Her eyes then trailed at the pointy ears of the faerin. "You are a faerin though, they would hate you regardless." Then, whe turned around, rubbing her chin as she pondered about it until the offer made her ears perk up.

"Wait, really? You will cook something to me?" She asked, resting a hand on her chest, swaying her tails excitedly. "That would be nice of you... and sure, we can add each other. So I can drag you to an exploration someday!" Ruby chirped, opening her UI, ready to send a friendship request.

"...... Someone tried to get you all killed... and then people decided to spare that person... That sounds idiotic." Ishtara mutters as she looks around a bit. A soft sigh escaping her lips and her eyes went back to the cat girl before her. Ishtara opened her menu so she could receive the friend request. Her eyes playing over the screen, she rarely opened this thing aside from logging out. There were probably a lot of functions here she didn't know about because she didn't look into it all that much.

"And yeah, I'll cook if you want something, I'm a pretty good cook overall so I thought maybe you'd want something to eat while you traveled. I don't travel much, but having a home cooked meal is always something that takes the edge off, ya know? Especially if it's made by someone else~"

Ishtara thinks a moment... "I don't have a home or anything, maybe the inn keep will allow me to use their kitchen?"

Ruby shrugged, letting out a sigh. "I don't know what was in their minds either... I've heard something about this robot woman having the answers for something, but well." She handwaved, uncertain of the details since she was there. All she knew was that some of her friends seemed to be inclined for that approach, which left her to have nothing to do aside from trusting on their choice.

A larger smirk tugged on Ruby's lips, and she rested her hands behind her back before leaning in with a smug expression.

"I see... A homemade food from a cutie like you? I'm down for sure." She tilted her head. "Maybe I could even convince you to be the one that will make my homemade food from now and on-" A playful wink followed, and the crimson cat straightened her stance again, pondering.

"I'm pretty sure, yeah. The inns in Honeyhome town are usually very welcoming and helpful."
