Festival Barn Haunts

Just up the road from the festival, with a large sign directing people to the area, there is a set of four barns, all situated on the hill in a little collection. During the day, these barns are run-of-the-mill storage for farming equipment, animals, and all manner of normal farm activities.

But during the night, during the festival, these barns have been set up to be ghastly rooms full of haunting decorations to thrill and delight onlookers, with a share of spooks for those who might go poking a bit too deep.

The selection is simple, with signs posted outside each barn for their basic theme. There is a blood-spattered slaughterhouse, a zombie dinner party, an eerie cult hideout, and a barn full of ghosts and ghouls. Which of these will your party dare to approach? From the outside, they all still look like normal barns, though the shadows from the light of the moon and the festival nearby hint at the darkness contained within each one.

Not a single soul is here to greet you, regardless of your choices. You're on your own if you dare enter, and nobody can be held responsible for what happens next...
DM NOTE: Once your party has chosen a barn to explore, I will post the details of the interior, as well as some basic options to explore the barn itself. This is a mixture of your own imagination and my own spooks once the barn is described, and I encourage players to have fun thinking about what spooky things the farmers would have concocted to scare their guests.

Once the initial description is posted, I will pop in randomly to shake up the event and provide spooks from there, so you will not be alone on this adventure...

All RP is completely freeform. This is a mechanics-free event, and your characters are in no real or actual danger. Please do not harm the actors in the barns.

"Right. That place totally has a bunch of loot, doesn't it?" Max crossed his arms, looking at the abandoned barns. Those things looked more like dungeons than anything else, if he was honest. And at the moment, it didn't seem there were a lot of people around, so he could have all the loot and treasure to himself.

"Are... Are you really sure you want to get in there? That place has... A very threatening aura."

Jade, the gem fairy, was right on the monkey boy's back, hiding behind his nape as she peeked at the strange structure. "Well, duh, it is a dungeon." Max retorted.

"That's not what I mean! It... It is probably cursed. I don't know, I just don't get good feelings from it."

"So you are a fairy that detects 'vibes' too? Hmph. You have no idea what you are talking about." Max huffed, turning toward the barns and taking fierce steps toward it... Steps that slowly calmed down as the eeriness finally caught up to the monkey boy, and he slowly paused, crossing his arms and mumbling.

"Maybe it is good to wait for someone else. Getting in a dungeon alone is dangerous."

"You aren't alone. You have me."

The fair rested a hand on her chest, looking at the boy with a frown, and fluttering her wings in disappointment.

"You? You are shitting on your pants and we didn't even get into that place yet. How can I count on you? It is just as if I'm going in by myself." Max rose an eyebrow.

"No, I am not! I don't wear pants, I wear a dress. But FINE, if you think I'm so scared, you can go by yourself, right? Why did you slow down? Go in there already!"

Max remained still for a moment, looking back at the barns, then back at the fairy. "Nah. I will wait." Max waved his hand, as non-chalantly as he could manage.

Sakura had heard about a kind of horror-themed attraction for the currently ongoing festival. In an attempt to try to break out of her shell a bit, she had decided to take a look at what it could be like. But actually seeing it personally seemed to almost push her away. Sure, all four barns looked like... regular barns, but the girl couldn't quite help but feel as if something wasn't off about them...

Reading the signs posted outside seemed to only averse her from entering even more, knowing what could potentially be in there. Zombies, cults, and ghosts sounded hauntingly terrifying, and Sakura knew that since she was currently in a game, all of those could actually be in there.

And thus, the girl ended up observing the barns from afar, a desperate attempt to confirm whether her suspicions were true or not. She remained far enough away to see each barn within her whole vision, clearly wary of the frights to be found within each one. Perhaps, with someone to keep her company, she could build up the courage to head inside...

Rina climbed up the hill away from the festival quietly. A pumpkin flavored pastry held in her grasp as she quietly nommed on the treat like an excited child. Visiting this event was something that she had been looking forward to since joining TS. She was always a sucker for fall themed celebrations, especially if they involved horror stuff.

"Barns with zombies, cults, or ghosts and ghouls?"

She looked at the sign directing the participants to the various locations. Though the zombies sounded cool, Rina figured she wasn't exactly at a level that could handle that sort of battle just yet. Though as she looked around she noticed two smaller figures, a shorter male with a little pink haired fairy and a very petite female. They were both looking out at the barns almost with...apprehension? Yeah, the barns were kinda creepy.

"Do you guys wanna go in together? It sounds pretty fun."

A soft smile tugged at her lips as she asked the individuals casually. She looked towards the path leading to the option of the ghosts. It wasn't everyday that she got to explore a haunted house and act out a part in a real scary movie, so she didn't mind moving on without the others if they weren't sure about what they wanted to do yet, but she figured she would at least wait to see what they said.

He would happen upon an event that actually caught his eye by looking at it. A large sign explaining the event actually got him even more hyped. Killing goblins and bandits was fun and all but a chance at culling cultists was something he couldn't pass up. The lumbering giant of a warrior would make his way to the other people who looked like they were in groups. Some people seemed they looked like they were looking for groups. He would take a moment to scout the people that didn't have a group, His gaze falling on @Sakura Wind and walking up to her with a smile. His size often scared people so he adopted putting on a smile and being as friendly as he could. In his moment of absloute social blindless he greeted @Dynamax and @Wisp in the much of the same manner.

"Oui Oui hello ma'am are you part of the event as well? Well, naturally names are in order! I am herculean drakeson but call me Herc for short.I will be your BESTO FRIENDO's and make sure you are safe should you want to group of course. My vote is the eerie cultist nothing like culling a heathen in half. "

Much like his fiery personality, he had mindlessly transformed for a split second. Standing at seven feet tall jumping to a sudden eight. The idea of outright slaying cultists even for fun was something that got his blood going. He calmed down for just a moment because he didn't want to scare his new friend in the making away. The smug grin revealed sharp teeth and someone who truly cared about the people around. Herc was fearless and if death happened it happened. For now he would eagerly await for miss winds response.

When a group seemed to appear, Max finally cheered up. "Hell, finally! Some people showed up. It was only an hour, but it felt like almost a month for some reason." Max frowned, nodding at @Wisp's suggestion. "Sounds good to me." He agreed with the idea, certainly much better to go there with other people than by himself and a fairy.

He looked at @Sakura Wind, who was far, and tried to 'encourage' her. "Come on, no need to chicken out anymore. We can just go in, right?"

"Weren't you the one chickening out?"

"Shut up already. There is a difference between being cautious to not get into that dungeon by myself, and shitting on my pants even after more people showed up. I mean-" He retorted, then glancing at @Herculean Drakecon, and pointing at him.

"Look at this godzilla over here, do you think we will need to worry about anything? That guy probably can tank anything we will meet, so we just need to bonk it hard enough for it to go away."

"... If you say so..."
