The cool breeze brushing across the skin. Warm sunlight beating down and washing over the rolling grasslands. The smell of wild, untamed lands wafting through the air. As quickly as Viz's diminutive form had materialized in the grassy fields of Eastern Brisshal, her senses were assaulted by all the virtual world had to offer. Her body became real and the glow of bluish-white light faded from to reveal her eyes were squeezed shut. Her shoulders lifted and her torso expanded with a deep breath of air. "Okay..." The word slipped out of her mouth as part of a heavy exhale. The tension between her brows pulled away and her eyes fluttered open to reveal their bright colors. Viz brought up a hand and squinted against the bright light of Falderen's daytime beauty. "Urgh," she immediately groaned, "I should really stop logging out in the middle of nowhere." Holding her hand flat over her eyes, she peered across the thinnest part of the forest to where she could spot the nearest settlement. At least she hadn't strayed that far from town before she had last logged off.

She had only been walking for a few short minutes when she felt it. That little gnawing feeling in the pit of her stomach. Viz's face twisted into a grimace that edged closer to annoyance. "There's no way," she started to herself, flexing her hand to bring up her palm menu. She made a point to stop her trek lest she trip over something while navigating the game interface. She had been logging into Terrasphere for a few weeks now, but the familiarity with which she traversed the menus came down to how often she had to be rifling through them. And she had gotten very good at looking through her Need meters. She scowled as her eyes fell upon the tiniest gap under Food. Surely the game didn't simulate hunger the moment the meter wasn't full on purpose? She had been having this problem the last few times she'd played and was starting to wonder if she should figure out how to report a bug or something.

She dismissed her palm menu with a short sigh. She knew her inventory had no food in it. Since she was already making the trek back to town there was little more to do than be uncomfortable and keep walking. It wasn't like she had any immediate plans upon logging in, but it sure was inconvenient.

"Will that be all you need, Miss?" Zelrius asked, a hand on the old lady's back to comfort her, to which he was met with a nod and toothless grin. A small pat and a nod, and the two said their goodbyes, another Lander's small quest done, her water well unblocked and refilled. Another boring, non combat quest done for the Adventurer's guild. And still, no platinum rank for him yet. Even after his direct confrontation with the Kurungaar Mother, and the Golem with all those around him. Not all stars can shine, he supposed, and there were others there far more worthy of the rank up. He on the other hand, would need to keep grinding these small victories to move up to the big leagues with the rest of them.

Though, that was all he could do here, with it today. The next step would usually be to head back to Stokbon and link up with the guild members there, or turn to Finweald and talk to Cessia, but neither was really an option at this moment. Outside of the typical guild work, the Adventurer would need to take the time to hone other skills, and make new connections if he ever hoped to compete with those who were currently so much better. So he turned, walking down the path, and headed out the village, headed in the opposite direction of a small Fae headed inward. Her discomfort was slight in the way she scowled, and for a moment, the swordsman was ready to just ignore it and continue walking. But just something about her clothing and design spoke to the fact that she was a Traveler, rather than an average Fae. Mainly, that of which she just waltzed into a mostly-human village in the middle of the forest and wilderness. Something most of the 'native' Fae wouldn't be caught dead doing. So he stopped, turning to her as their paths crossed and opening his palms to face them up in a friendly gesture.

"Hey, you okay? You seem... lost?" Or whatever the hell she was. Reading emotions wasn't the problem, putting a name to what he saw was another matter entirely. Not exactly like he had a thesaurus at the ready. But, he did have experience, and was always ready to offer it, if for no other reason than to feel better about the absolutely depressing amount of time he escaped into this world on a daily basis.

A person. For all Viz could tell that the nearby settlements and wilderness was something of a 'newbie area', given its low level wildlife and somewhat accommodating townsfolk, there sure weren't a lot of other players to run into around here. Maybe back when the game relaunched these roads were busy and bustling, and now those people have moved on to more exciting sceneries. Either that, or this game wasn't actually as popular as she had come to believe.

She stopped as well, eyeing the blonde stranger who had felt compelled to ask about her well-being. He was tall. Her height--of lack thereof--had somehow been the single most challenging thing to adapt to in this game. Her lack of VR experience and Terrasphere's complex mastery system each paled in comparison to just how weird it was to feel small.

"You're a player, right?" She had already embarrassed herself in enough encounters with NPCs whom she thought were players and vice versa that she felt the need to check. She would rather be rude than feel stupid. "Um, yeah, I'm fine though, I guess." Her uncertainty over what exactly plagued her left her answer with an equal lack of confidence. Still, some sort of explanation was in order. "I'm out of food, and my Hunger meter's acting up." Was it? She had no idea, but if this was normal then at least she could call it a dumb 'feature.' And it was that second of insecurity that pressed her to explain even further, this time with an exasperation as she shifted her weight and crossed her arms over her chest. "Like, I get that hungry feeling but my bar only just dipped from full. Or, I'll still feel it for a few minutes after eating." Not that she expected this man to fix all her problems, but it was something of a relief to air her grievance. In the back of her head, she knew there was a chance, however slim, that she was simply doing something wrong as a relatively new player. How lucky it would be if that was all that was the matter.
