Yet another beautiful day in the world made of ones and zeros. At least that's what most people would say. The world around Kyoko materialized as she opened her eyes, her body jerking forward to sit up from where she had been laying down. Memory flooding back to her as she realized she was safe. Her inn room was bland and simple, yet enough to keep her safe as she logged off. No bandits in sight to hurt her, nothing to take an ounce of her life away from her.

Standing to her feet Kyoko made her way to the downstairs, returning her key to the front desk in exchange for a bowl of warm stew. The cheapest meal available, she ate it, the bland taste doing nothing to her tastebuds. Once she was done, Kyoko would exit the building, forest on every side flooding her vision. Ahh, that's right. I'm in Eastern Brisshal. Back in the place of the newbs, though Kyoko certainty still was a new player. Her skills still the worst of the worst, barely any experience under her belt... Kyoko only had her mind to carry her onwards, and that she did. At least, that was until she almost bumped into a man who was standing stupidly in the middle of the road, just staring at... the sky?

Kyoko side-stepped just in time, avoiding the collision she began to walk past the figure with no goal in mind. Her tail betrayed her however, her determined brain not wanting to interact with anyone or form any lasting connections... Her tail brushed lightly against the arm of the man as she walked past causing her to let out a curse word in her brain. I never should have picked this race.

Another day... One day.

Blue eyes were hardly visible from behind the narrowed slits of squinted eyelids. His head was tilted back, looking toward the sapphire sky, and its many could children whom drifted in the air. Headed no where in particular. Most of such a sight obscured by the canopy of verdant leaves and motion of smaller forest creatures sprinting around living their daily lives. Zelrius was motionless, watching the white and grey puffs of clouds move forward, unrestricted by, and unattached to, anything at all. There was something he should be doing, instead of idling the hours away. The man knew it. "But I just can't seem to will my feet forward." His mind answered, putting to sleep the guilt of it. "That's okay." The answer was immediate, dismissing any further concern of the subject.

The footsteps of another were audible, but they were not heard. Approaching from one side, Zelrius didn't even bother to look that way. Hunters, Travelers, and Merchants came and went along these beaten forest paths, and this wasn't going to be that much different. At some point, they were all a blur. A collage of faces that he couldn't recognize the details of anymore, or the small nods and talks of recent weather that were stifled, and slow. As though all those fleeting memories had happened underneath the surface of water.

His refusal to acknowledge another was interrupted. Goosebumps racing along his arms at the sudden touch of a fur brushing him, the sensation dulled to nothing more than a rub because his cloak. The man was never comfortable with sudden touch, and reacted the way one might do had they felt a spider suddenly crawling on them. His left arm snapping back to latch onto the source of the sensation and stop it from touching. An unfortunate interaction that tugged back on the woman's tail as she tried to walk by.

He looked over quickly, realizing what he had done and letting go quickly. "Ohp- Sorry about that. Didn't think you'd walked that close." Offering an apology for having quickly grabbed a stranger. She was.. a beastfolk? And judging by the pink hair, and starter gear, it seemed that she was a player like him. Called Starcalled Travelers by the Landers. Another person like him, though unlike. She was moving along the road as everyone else seemed capable. And he just... wasn't.

No location in mind, no goal, no dreams. Kyoko felt like she was living in a nightmare, Terrasphere only alleviating it by a little. Yet it was enough to make her an addict to the life that she might have in this world. A life where she could find meaning, a life where she meant something to anyone. Even if Kyoko were to find a way to live with herself and the way that her life had deteriorated, she couldn't go back to the life she had. Kyoko wouldn't be able to bear it if she were to make any sort of accomplishment that she had dreamt up thus this far.

Everything seemed dull, void of any purpose or color, Kyoko bringing it all on herself. It was "all her fault". Even walking along the path in the city was draining on her. Her feet scraping against the sand as Kyoko felt her body heavy from the toll of her past. That was until she felt a sharp tingling sensation spread from her tail up her spine. Shivers being sent down and across her entire body. Someone had grabbed her tail, the same someone she had nearly dodged only moments before. She felt nothing as her teeth bit down on her tongue in uncomfort. Even if it was just a game, her tail and ears, they felt real. The sensations that she had when they brushed anything felt real enough and today was no different. Standing face to face with the culprit, Kyoko guarded her emotions.

The surprise and frustration being washed away by an even-leveled facial expression. "Even lost in thought, I don't think it's the best idea to stand in the middle of the road..." Then again, I was kind of not paying attention... Kyoko took more notice of the man that she had payed no attention to prior. Like her, he was geared up as any traveler would be. He was obviously leagues above her, at least that's the impression that was imprinted on Kyoko as she observed his mannerisms and behavior. Along with the fact that he actually had a weapon...

Kyoko didn't really care much on the reasoning behind why he was standing in the middle of the road. It wasn't her problem, she didn't even know the man... Yet he had grabbed her tail without hesitation, making it her problem. One thing Kyoko hated more than anything else, people imposing themselves on her when she was thinking or trying to get something done, so why then would this man stand in the middle of the road? Was he looking for someone to interrupt him from the oblivion that your mind could create?

Kyoko turned her head back to where she had been heading. Though she thought she had no goal in mind, she had been heading towards a sacred grove, unaware. One where she could form the proper contract to gain more insight and abilities. Perhaps she could let herself grow close to a spirit that is forced by her side, one that would only leave her if she were to pass from this world. What a connection that would be. "It's none of my business what you do, but either way, I suppose if you want to continue to be lost in thought I could show you a few places I go." Kyoko must have woken up on the right side of the bed. I will never see him again, so why am I going through this effort?

If it wasn't for her accidentally bumping him with her stupid tail, Kyoko wouldn't admit fault and certainly wouldn't have offered to give him a few suggestions. Surely this would make up for her behavior prior. "Before you assume i'm some character of any trait, just keep in mind, I'm only offering because I had fault as well."
