For some it was a normal day, working and putting in effort to earn their keep. For Mio though it was a fun opportunity for mischief and fun. The small fox girl would slink here and there through crowds in the markets. Her gaze listing through wares and supplies from time to time up until it gradually settled on fruits. Passing by a stall, her ink dotted tail would swing upwards, making contact with the stand brushing past leaving none the wiser. Replacing one apple with an inky replica, then an orange, then a peach. One by one she collected materials for a fun fruit cocktail, her bristled tail gradually swelling to conceal the fruits in it's fur as she went with a happy smile.

Theft was normal for Mio, living the life of a degenerate came naturally considering what she did in reality. Earning her keep through such exciting and thrilling manners was also part of the fun though. Her only disappointment coming from the fact that picking pockets for coin was a lot harder then slipping fruits off their places. It was harder to justify the contact with her tail slicing pouch cords or pockets wasn't difficult but replacing them with inky decoys to cover her escape and prank future buyers or users of her cheap copies was a lot harder as the weight would suddenly and abruptly shift during the transition.

The girl didn't try to think too much about the future though. Instead trying to case the place from her post on some stairs leading away from the market. Once her fruit was properly consumed she'd go down to start earning coin by lifting tools perhaps, or maybe clothing. Unfortunately she still wasn't used to the game's prices, she wasn't sure what was more important on the market to steal and resell, there were no fences for her to sell hot items too. It made her sigh, the burdens of finding contacts as a new comer in a given territory was always difficult, she was prepared for that, but it was harder in the game when the AI was working it's own angles simultaneously.

"It's the genuine article, I tell ya!" Chimney shouted out enthusiastically, engaging with the small crowd that had gathered at the little corner of the street she occupied. She stood atop a simple wooden crate, posturing atop it with a proud look upon her face and a twinkle in her eye as men and women stopped to look and listen. With her jacket pulled open ever so slightly, she revealed a number of tonics of dark fluid.

"Cures any illness! Removes every fatigue! Got a fever? Hungover after a long night celebrating? Even cuts and bruises! Yes, with this miracle tonic, any injury can be immediately remedied. And the best part is, it's made with natural ingredients that does not rely on the fancy alchemical magics of your average potions! Which means these beauties can be produced quickly and cheaply, saving you fine upstanding folks the fortunes that those magical misers try'n charge you for the cures you need to live a long and healthy life!" Smiling, she rocked on her heels and gestured wildly at various individuals within the crowd as if to engage with them directly, drawing them in.

"But of course don't just take my word for it! No, ya gotta see for yaself just how effective this miracle cure is!" Suddenly, much to the crowd's surprise, the walking cane propped up alongside the box she stood on was swept up into her hand and spun around flashily... and then, with a few startled shouts, swung up into her face and busted her lip and nose. As blood began to run down her face she set the cane aside once more, gestured for people to calm down, and produced a handkerchief to wipe some of the blood away.

"Anby axfident or enbjurby! Insfanfly corbed!" she announced with a promising wink and busted lip as she popped open one of the glass vials and downed the liquid inside without even the slightest grimace, despite the strong smell of spice and herb coming from it. Tossing the empty vial to the ground she began to wipe at her bloodied face again to clean it up... as, unseen to those distracted by the spectale, her other hand behind her back held a small pocket watch. A watch whose hands began to rewind slowly, the unseen manipulation of time being used to reverse her injury and magically heal herself with Chronomancy. For all the rubes in the crowd could tell, the tonic had worked its wonders and miraculously closed her wounds, making her good as new! The excited customers quickly tossed their money her way and she eagerly handed over the remaining vials she had, then quickly began to make her way off down an alleyway with a wry chuckle. All they had bought was tea with paprika and a bunch of other spices, and she had made a small and tidy profit.

Mio while chewing on her snuck food to get her meters back up and ensure she was fed enough to keep working, she watched the show taking place down among the other market goers. It was flashy, it was a show as most scams and tricks were, it was a part of what did well to sell things. Energy, excitement, a charming smile and a good show, getting people invested and worried with a hit and displaying the properties in the next second. Exciting! Riveting!

It was possible to reach the common folk, but hard to trick a rogue. With a smile she waved a hand at the woman from across a short distance, elevated above the crowd thanks to the stairwell she rested on. If she managed to get her attention, she'd smile pointing at the tissue in the girl's hand, hinting that if the blood was missing from her face or from the napkin it might give things away. Whether or not it managed to help though Mio smelled a lucrative chance. Though it woulda been better with some alchemy skills, Mio wasn't going to fault the show. Instead, once Chimney disappeared, Mio would happily bounce up herself and follow along taking another route.

Passing through alleys she turned and gave another wave to the woman as she spoke. "Hey~ Looks like you know business pretty well here huh? That trick work often?" She couldn't help asking, if the NPCs were naive enough to keep buying those types of potions, there would be a lot of ways she could take advantage as well with her own forgeries. Though if Chimney wasn't in the mood to talk, Mio could certainly grease her way through that as well. In an effort to try and show something that the girl could. Her fox tail would flop up, slapping the wall behind her, swinging wildly like a calligraphy brush drawing out a shiny apple. Though Mio only drew in blacks and used the wall as a canvas it didn't matter to her, once it was done, she'd reach back giving it a small slap until it fell from the all, a solid inky black object that gradually took on the proper color of the fruit before offering it to Chimney.

"I wouldn't eat it though, I take requests too~" She spoke with a small grin, thinking this was a good chance to meet some good money making connections. She could forge and fabricate many things using the ink, though they wouldn't last terribly long it was enough to do a quick trade with anything useful one might need.
