People worry about lots of things, both big and small. (She nodded.) And worrying just means you're taking things seriously, so it's not always a bad thing~ But often people get more worked up than they have to be. Their entire day can be defined by a small problem. So I encourage them to take things easier~

Vina wasn't someone so carefree that she never took anything seriously, but she was sincere in her belief that people went overboard with how much they worried about things. The vixen nodded again as Fina pointed out that clothes weren't always a burden.

That's also true~ There's nothing wrong with wearing clothes you like and trying to look good. It's just that sometimes worrying too much about if your outfit works just makes you more frustrated than you have to be. (She hummed.) It's the difference between being passionate and being obsessive, you see~?

The druidess did actually put quite some effort into maintaining her own form. Travelling as much as she did worked wonders for her physique, as well as the various forms of "exercises" she enjoyed when the opportunity presented itself. Grooming her fur (and hair) was also very relaxing, although she'd have to admit that her magic helped a lot in that regard: her potent talent for healing meant that her body was always trying to restore itself to a pristine condition.

Seeing that something was on Fina's mind Vina nibbled on another cookie, waiting for her friend to return to their conversation. Even when their conversation entered a lull she enjoyed her friend's presence, the drumming of rain outside complementing the comfort and peace inside, the sensation of enjoying such a pleasant scene together. When Fina did speak up again her words were a bit more sombre, mentioning how back on Earth a single act of indecency could haunt you for the rest of your life.

...You're not wrong that on Earth I have to be a bit more careful. That said, where I live people are pretty accepting, so as long as I don't go overboard I'll be fine~

She recalled when she and Fina had visited those floating islands together. The feline had expressed a desire to be able to enjoy such shameless activities without second-guessing herself at every turn, and while that would pale next to being able to move her body freely the vixen could imagine that was another reason Fina was so passionate about this world.

But even then, that just makes this world all the greater, isn't it~? We can enjoy ourselves in many ways that don't exist on Earth or which people might get nosy about. Sure, it'd be better if the latter wasn't the case, but I'd say it might make doing those things in here even more thrilling~

"When you're being slowly crushed beneath the stress of daily life that wants nothing but to devour you whole, it is no wonder that even the smallest of things can cause the fuse to light up, eventually leading to an explosion." Fina believed that people if given the chance to live life free of worry, would no longer cause a fuss about these little things. But even a single droplet could be what would make the full glass finally spill over. Their days were not defined by the small problem that made the glass finally break but by the underlying flood of pain and agony, unceasing, unrelenting.

Clothes were but one thing that could be the final droplet. "When you need a bulky wheelchair to get anywhere, people stare at you by default." Your very act of existing, of being in the presence of others, could become stressful. Questioning and scornful eyes piercing, burning... "So I can dress however I want. Since they will stare anyway, it doesn't matter if I pile another reason on top of it." It felt like she would crumble if she didn't learn how to do this - turning these painful moments into at least a semblance of freedom and strength that could push her on.

That said, she let out a sigh. "So you really are like this even out there." She really did expect for the vixen's behavior to simply be a form of escape from the physical world. Being so into it simply because out there, she couldn't be. But, as things stood, she really just was a bit of a freak. Not that it was a bad thing. It was but another hateful word proposed to describe something that others found uncomfortable and thus wanted to shun. "Well, as long as you're staying safe, I suppose."

Vina frowned a little as Fina countered the vixen's position with her own. She was guessing that her friend was speaking from personal experience, and given what Fina had just told her it'd make sense that the feline beauty wouldn't be on the same wavelength as the carefree songstress.

All the more important to help them relax and have fun then~ (She leaned back.) But a lot of people also get more worked up than they need to be I think.

Fina was absolutely correct in her assessment that when people were stressing out about something minor it was often a sign that something bigger was going on. But from Vina's perspective that was only part of the puzzle: she'd seen people live good, happy lives, but still get worked up over smaller things simply because they kept worrying about it.

That's the spirit~! (She nodded.) It doesn't matter if they stare, so just do whatever's good for yourself. How you dress doesn't hurt them, after all~

It was clear that Fina wasn't enjoying the unwanted attention she got back on Earth, which was understandable. Vina just hoped that spending more time with her might also help her dear friend in that regard: if she became less worried about how she was seen in this world that could reflect back on how she felt back on Earth.

I'd say I am yes, if not quite as much so as I am in here~ (She nodded.) Don't worry Fina, I'll be careful.

Fina's concerns weren't entirely unwarranted: there were plenty of places where Vina's behaviour could get her into trouble really quickly. She knew that she was fortunate, living in a community where people would let her be herself rather than judging her for falling outside the norm, or even taking advantage of her. The vixen shook her head and quickly grabbed another cookie.

I've got another blanket if you want one for yourself, by the way~

"It's not exactly cold inside, but... I guess it couldn't hurt." Blanket didn't sound so bad, after all. "It's not quite curling up in a blanket in front of a warm fireplace, but doing so in front of a table with tea and cookies will do." She teased Vina a tiny bit. She knew how much effort it must have been to keep this place functional. Even if magic was involved, there was still much that was connected with keeping a house in a proper state. Though magic would certainly be welcome in the physical word whenever she had to clean up a bit.

"And at this point, I guess it's safe to assume that you invited me over just because you wanted to chat?" It was Vina who invited her, after all. The whole thing came as a bit of a surprise, so there were moments when Vina expected that some manner of important discussion would be brought up, but nothing of the sort has happened so far, so the feline was starting to think that this really was a friendly visit to chat and nothing more. Well, as long as she ignored the earlier proposal of naked cuddles under a single blanket.

Vina shook her head and smiled slyly, leaning forward a little as her tail wagged behind the bundle of cloth that was her blanket-covered form.

I made sure it's nice and warm in here, but a little bit of coziness never hurt anyone~ Now let's see...

Leaning further forward she rummaged around underneath the couch she was sitting on, her silver-white hair obscuring her face until finally she found what she was looking for and leaned backwards again, pulling another blanket from underneath the couch. It looked very similar to the one she was using herself, if perhaps a little bit greener.

Sorry about that Fina~ (She stuck out her tongue.) Fire resistant wood is difficult to make, but I'm glad you're enjoying the cookies and tea~

Bundling the blanket she tossed it towards Fina, but before it reached the feline a deftly controlled wind, guided by a soft humming rising in Vina's throat, unfolded the blanket and made it land safely on the adventurer's lap. Vina then spent a couple of seconds rearranging her own blanket so it still covered her properly before refilling her cup and taking another sip of tea.

Yup! (She nodded.) I'd heard it was going to rain so I figured we could enjoy a cozy afternoon together~ I hope I didn't pull you away from something important.

Considering everything, it was somewhat difficult to believe that just talking really was the only reason why she had received the invitation, but she was willing to let any lecherous thoughts go. Maybe the original intent did not matter all that much, and what was important were their actions right now? Well, no matter. They were just having a normal conversation and that was that.

Fina caught the flying blanket, running her hands across the fluffy surface in a brief examination before easily throwing it around herself. The motion was perhaps not all too different from whenever she did the same with her large cloak that she dragged everywhere. She just liked the thing too much. "Well, this place is still impressive nonetheless."

She sure as hell wouldn't have been able to make anything like it. It was perhaps because her abilities were so incredibly straightforward most of the time that she learned to appreciate what all others were capable of. Impressive feats well beyond the limits of her own imagination, a lot of the time. Not that her own masteries were incapable of some creativity, but perhaps it was the user that wasn't...

Thanks Fina~ I'm glad you like it.

With both of them now bundled up in a thick blanket Vina tilted her head, listening to the rain outside for a moment. Whatever thoughts Fina might have about Vina's intentions, the reality was that the vixen just wanted to spend time with her friend, and this was just one of the many ways you could spend time with a friend.

And if Fina knew just how little difference Vina saw between what was happening now and what Fina suspected the vixen might have been aiming for she'd probably think that her vulpine friend wasn't entirely sound of mind.

I could try to get a fireplace installed though. I can't shape stone the way I can shape plants, so I'd probably need some help with it~ (She extended one of her slender arms.) As you can see, I'm not much of a lifter. Would you mind if I asked for your help with that Fina~?

Fina's speciality might be the creation and usage of arcane weapons, but Vina was smart enough that she knew her friend was also capable of impressive physical feats. Those were a requirement for the kinds of martial displays that her feline friend liked to pull when they were on an adventure, even if she herself tended to downplay them.

"It is never too late in one's life to start exercising to improve your health. You can start lifting whenever." The feline joked back as the vixen tried to pass herself as some feeble druidess who couldn't do much physical labor. Sure, she wouldn't be capable of the super-human feats that Fina was able to pull off from time to time, but that didn't mean all of that dancing and night-time activities didn't have some positive impact on her body. Either way, the idea of installing a fireplace here was probably off the table for now.

"And while I might be able to lift just about any piece of rock you could put inside of here... last I checked, I'm not masoner. I wouldn't even know where to begin in regards to building something. Especially something that would rely on being done well to not set fire to the rest of this place..." She could already imagine this whole room going away in a blaze of not-really-glory. These things needed a professional, or at least a decent amount of research before anyone would try to do it themselves...

That's true~ (She nodded.) I could try to put on some muscle. (She gave her extended arm a little shake.) I've gotten used to doing all the heavy lifting with magic, but a little bit of sweat wouldn't hurt~

Grabbing another cookie she nibbled on it, falling silent for a moment as a faint drumming indicated that the rain had yet to relent. Making herself a bit more comfortable Vina stretched herself out on the couch, showing some skin before her blanket covered her once more, her head now resting on the arm rest closest to Fina.

The type of exercise I like the most is beter for your stamina than your strength though~ Maybe it'd be possible to combine the two... (She pondered for a moment.) That reminds me, I'm curious what training you've gone through Fina. I know you mostly control your weapons with your magic but I've also seen you swing them bare-handed. Or are they lighter than they look?

Fina's weapons, arcane in nature as they were, still looked as if Vina wouldn't be able to lift them with both hands. Well, the bigger ones, at least, but those were the ones her dear feline friend used in combat. It was possible that looks were deceiving and they were actually quite manageable: they were conjured weapons, after all. Still, Vina found the way her friend wielded them inspiring to watch, and she imagined that the arms master's slender frame hid a surprising amount of strength.

Perhaps being around Vina so much was starting to make Fina at least somewhat desensitized to these kinds of subjects. Or at least she couldn't imagine herself talking like this outside of this game with anyone... "If someone can figure out how to use sex for strength training, I'm sure it would be you..." Though it did make her feel a bit more self-conscious, as if she was saying something not socially acceptable and was about to get scolded for it. "I'd imagine that the most suitable sweat-inducing thing for you would be going to a sauna." Certainly preferable over heavy lifting.

That said, if the vixen thought that the feline had some kind of impressive regiment she had to follow to keep her strength up, then she would be disappointed real soon. "They're not exactly lighter than they look, but I also don't do anything special. I guess it's just all of my mastery choices... they increase my fortitude. And before I knew it, I was able to lift even things heavier than me with ease. I guess it makes sense for this fantastical setting, and it sure makes one feel badass at times. But none of it is really earned, no."

Vina hadn't considered turning sex itself into a strength-building exercise, but once her friend suggested it the vixen quickly got some ideas, a mischievous smirk spreading across her face.

Sex for strength training? Sure, I could do that~ (She looked Fina up and down a little.) Hmmm... Yeah, that would work~

Sticking out her tongue to make it clear she was kidding (mostly) Vina chuckled. While it was definitely true that one could use sex for building muscles it wasn't the kind of thing Vina would go for, since she wasn't that interested in becoming physically strong in the first place. But she did now have those thoughts in her mind, and her feline friend played a big role in them...

I do like saunas and hot springs, yes. They're very relaxing, aren't they?

Fina's admission that she'd gotten her strength through her masteries instead of developing her muscles herself did make Vina sit up a bit straighter, her expression growing more thoughtful and intrigued as she even leaned forward a little.

It's all from your masteries? I didn't know physical masteries did that for you. (She whistled, summoning a small breeze for a second.) What about your arcanamancy? I had to practise with my magic to improve it, and I thought it'd be the same for every other mastery as well~

Fina narrowed her gaze at what she assumed to be yet another wave of teasing from the vixen. If the previously mentioned exercise that improved stamina wasn't sex, then what in the world could have someone like Vina been thinking of? Well, it hardly mattered now, given that the conversation was moving on ahead. And, perhaps, the fox was leading a more active life outside of the game than the feline had imagined.

"I've not been to all that many saunas, and never to a hot spring, so I can't attest to much. But that's why people go there, so I'd imagine relaxation is the main purpose, aside from attempts to improve one's health." That was why so many people went to them, right? Some kind of detox or something similar that was supposed to improve one's physical health. Though, as far as she knew, those things could only happen if one visited such places on regular basis, and the vast majority of people did not.

"And as for my Arcanamancy, I did have to practice, of course. Especially when I wanted to make something more complex than a stick... but no amount of practice would allow you to just pick up a battle-axe that is the size of your body, and then swing it around like it's nothing, right?" Not unless there was another trick at play, such as Vina's control over winds.

The only answer Fina got in response to her narrowed gaze was a playful wink, the vixen leaving it up to her feline friend to imagine some possible things the songstress got up to in her spare time. Given Vina's reputation she didn't think the arms master needed any more inspiration for her mind to come up with some entertaining possibilities.

She blinked at Fina's admission that she'd never been to either a sauna or a hot spring, but as soon as Fina said it Vina realised that made a lot of sense. Nodding in understanding Vina pondered briefly before responding.

Winter's a good time to visit the hot springs, so we could go together soon if you want Fina~ I don't know if all hot springs are also good for your health, but it's a nice experience either way.

Vina was definitely an example of someone who went to hot springs and saunas because she enjoyed them. If pressed on whether they were healthy or not the best she could imagine was that relaxation itself was good for you and these kinds of things helped you relax. Of course, within Terrasphere it was also possible that someone had made a sauna which really did heal people and strengthen them, since that was a fairly common trope.

Well...

Fina's explanation that no amount of training would have allowed her to swing her weapons as well as she did gave Vina pause, the vixen nibbling on her latest cookie before continuing.

You're not wrong, but on Earth no amount of training would let you create weapons out of thing air either, right? I imagined that for the combat types training let them push themselves beyond what would be possible normally~

The reasoning that there were limits to how strong you could get through training made sense, given that was how it always worked. Maybe Vina had been comparing physical ability too much with magical skills.

"That's... not a bad idea, I guess..." Fina had to admit that the idea of visiting an establishment like that seemed quite nice. On the other hand, going to such a place with someone like Vina seemed like something that could be dangerous, in a certain way. And yet, that in itself had a certain appeal to a part of the feline that she was mostly trying to suppress, though one that was agitated ever since the 'beach incident'.

As for the other part of the conversation that regarded powers within this world, it almost seemed silly to try and find real-life logic in what was undoubtedly magical. The argument itself could go both ways, even. "Yeah, nothing could give you the ability to create things out of thin air in the physical world. So the same logic could apply to physical feats as well. That is to say, us being magically stronger than even the best athletes that are out there even without much training."

Although it wasn't entirely like she had to learn nothing at all. Sure, the different masteries did give her seemingly superhuman strength, but she still had to figure out how to swing those giant weapons on her own. At least if she wanted to play without the auto-assist feature, anyway. Some techniques seemed to just appear in her mind, but anything more complex than the basic sword swing required at least some effort on Fina's part as well.

Great~! (Vina wagged her tail.) Let's try to visit a hot spring soon then! Not today, but maybe later this week if you've got time~?

While Fina's response wasn't exactly enthusiastic she did agree with the idea, which was good enough for Vina. And if the vixen was the one to take the initiative (as was often the case) she wouldn't delay the trip any longer than needed. If it wasn't for the fact that they were already comfortable here inside her home (and that the day had already progressed quite a bit) she might even have suggested going right now.

The possibility of a hot spring visit developing into something more intimate did also cross her mind, but for Vina such encounters were so par for the course that it was more a possibility than a distinct plan. Even when she'd invited Fina to share a blanket while enjoying the rainy weather the possibility of it turning more intimate had only been a possibility: she wasn't one to manipulate events, she just took opportunities where she found them.

She nodded along as Fina pointed out that since this world didn't follow the same rules as Earth there was little point to applying Earth-type logic to this world. That did make sense, even if it left Vina wondering what kind of logic would apply to the world of Terrasphere.

Would that mean that if you trained on top of just being strong by nature in this world you could become even more powerful? (She tilted her head.) Well, you're plenty strong already Fina, so I don't think you need to worry about training if you haven't been doing much of it before~

"Even saying this week is pretty sudden... well, not that I really have anything to do." It was kind of like calling a hairdresser, or another similar service, expecting to be booked a few weeks from the moment of the call, only to be told that a slot was freed up and that they'd be expecting you in a couple of hours. Unexpected and possibly undesirable. But as Fina said, she didn't really have any plans that would get interrupted by such a visit. So perhaps her line of thinking was instead spurred by the fact that she felt she needed to mentally prepare herself. Alas, she would never be fully ready in that sense, no matter how much time she would be given.

It was similar for the idea of having to excessively train to become strong in this world. "I've started my new-found life here to enjoy myself, not to dedicate myself to strength-training as if I wanted to become an athlete... if there is something that would require me to be even stronger, I'd much prefer to just turn around and try something else instead." She didn't particularly enjoy things like fighting to begin with, only accepting it as a necessary price to be paid for the privilage of being in this world. At least as long as she wanted to explore the world instead of staying cooped up in a city or something.

Vina might be a bit pushy, asking Fina to join her for a visit to the hot springs the same week as the idea came to them, but as Fina herself admitted it wasn't like she had a busy schedule which would need cleaning up. The vixen didn't think that delaying the visit would change much, and if she could read minds she'd have agreed with Fina that there was a limit to how much she could mentally prepare herself anyway.

No time like the present I say~ If you don't take the opportunity when it comes along you might never get around to it. (She smiled.) And it's not like the first time has to be long either. We can give it a try and if you enjoy it we can do it again later on~

Fina's statement that she'd rather do things she was strong enough for than train to become even strong elicited a light laugh from the playful songstress.

I'm not saying you should~! We're both here to have fun Fina, so there'd be no point in doing something you don't enjoy. (She placed a hand on her hidden chest.) I enjoy playing with my magic and performing, but I'd also protest if I had to push myself harder than I wanted to for something~ And as I said, you're already strong enough that I'd trust you with my life.

"I feel like that saying is more applicable for things that are actually fleeting, but I get the point." It wasn't like all of the hot springs would grow legs and scuttle away. Sure, procrastination was a thing, but Fina was perhaps feeling more worried about the excitement with which Vina wanted to see her without clothes. Which actually made the feline realize something.

"Ehm..." She narrowed her gaze a bit. "Whatever this establishment you plan to drag me into is... is it... public?" The girl figured that anything with private rooms would be rather expensive. In fact, whenever she heard about these places in the physical world, they always had shared spaces between genders as well. After all, everyone had towels, so it wasn't much different from people being at a large swimming pool.

Although that line of thinking did lead to the image of Vina throwing her towel away even while surrounded by men. This, in turn, caused Fina to give the vixen a suspicious look as if she was quietly asking whether something like that had already happened... even though the other girl had no way of knowing what exactly the cat was thinking about.

Vina hadn't thought of a specific hot spring establishment yet when Fina asked the question, the vixen at first answering with little more than a casual shrug before elaborating.

There's more than one place where we can visit a hot spring, so we've got options. The easiest one is in Finweald and that one's public... but we can also go when nobody else is present if that helps~

Of course, the most isolated hot springs would be found out in the wilds where nobody would think to even look for them, but Vina thought it'd be better to go somewhere that they didn't have to worry about the environment too much. And since it wasn't that strange to go to a shared hot spring surely Fina wouldn't have any objections, right?

Although it was a good thing the feline beauty had asked this beforehand, because if she really did want some more privacy Vina would have to look around a bit in advance to make sure the establishment catered to her friend's needs.

The suspicious look Fina gave her had Vina puzzled, the vixen tilting her head quizzically.

What's on your mind Fina~?

The feline let out a brief sigh and looked to the side. "Nothing, really. Just trying to figure out what manner of Vina-esque plans you might be having..." She might have been talking about how she just wanted people to have a good time, and how she would never do anything against someone's will, but no one would be able to convince Fina to stop thinking that the vixen was capable of, at the very least, nudging others toward certain outcomes. Not ones that she would think truly bad, but still.

"Well, I'll just leave the selection to you, I suppose... I don't exactly know my way around these places anyway." It'd be like trying to choose a good spot for a holiday. Far too many options, plenty of uncertainty about whether the chosen destination was truly the best one, and much more. So much that the feline would rather avoid by giving the task to someone who already clearly had some first-hand experience.
