Darkness into light, shimmering and falling to the ground. A flash of blinding light had been what took over his vision as he confirmed what he wished his persona to be in this game. There was no do-overs , no take backs-- this was who he had molded out of the clay form. A form of black laid out upon the forested area, no movement left the form-- at least not at first. A cough was the first thing that left the mouth of the other, not even his eyes had opened to see his surroundings. Everything hurt. A groan left next before eyelashes fluttered as eyes opened.

The first thing one might notice about this individual was his eyes were mismatched, His left was blue when his right was a deep crimson red. Well perhaps it wouldn't be the first thing someone might look at when they saw the individual on the ground-- at least if he was sitting up. He slowly sat up, coughing as he did so. Black feathers drifted down around him as wings spread out behind him. He made a pained noise at what seemed like such an easy motion. That would be true if his wings weren't slightly bent. He didn't remember what had occurred, how he had gotten here or why he had felt like his whole body had been run over.

Was this part of the game? Did everyone start in such a state? He looked around, he was very much in a forested area-- but something was off in the distance. He stood up, being careful to tuck his wings against his back the best he could. The action once more causing a little pain noise to leave him. It would be his luck to start like this-- wouldn't it. Now where was he? Did he try out the UI system or try to ask around. The smarter of the two ideas would be to try out his UI and see what he had to work with and see if he could find a location. Though his curious nature won over and he began to slowly move and take in his surroundings.

It was indeed a forested area, but what made it different was the stones that seemed to sit at different sections of clearings as he walked. He went to stand in front of one of these ten foot oval shaped stones. His head tilting to the side as he took in the rune that was etched deep into the body of it. "Curious" a hand reached out towards the rune as if to trace it. To truly analyze it. Though was he alone in this clearly?

Ever since she started playing the game, Aika had been doing so with a familiar face, a friend or more than one, someone she has met and interacted with in real life. It was hard making new friends in the game. Or at least for her that was true. The few times she tried, they always wanted something from her. Sometimes, it was obvious. Other times, truth be told, it was her fault. Some people are just so easy to string along, but when they realize that fact, they always blame her instead of their own flaws.

"Hello! You look new. Need any help?"

Aika was in the area looking for someone else, a bounty, when she heard the fluttering of wings as she passed by the trees. Those wings were white and belonged to someone else, but when she got here, they were replaced by this person, a raven man with ebony black wings. Is this the same person? She doubted it. Her target had most likely already flown away. She really needed to get faster.

"My, my, those feathers look quite majestic! Ever think about selling a few?"

At the top of her head, the ravishing rogue could think of three clients who'd want a piece of this pie. There was a pillow maker right close by, in Honeyhome, who'd love to get his black feathers. Another would be a tailor, a dressmaker, to the nobles. Raven feathers are never out of style. A third? Well, the third man's a brutal collector, someone Aika vowed never to do business with again. He was out of the question. Those eyes... Gorgeous!

He thought perhaps he might be alone, but he was wrong. This persona was still quite new to him, this body-- it all was new to him. Perhaps that was why the game had one start out with molding clay into the person your character was to become. He looked nothing like he did outside of the game, though he did include a lot of his base personality into this character- Draven. Truly a name that one could never forget in the end, after all Draven the raven --- it was easy to associate. So he didn't get points when it came to originality of names, or even of personality. Though he had included some mischief parts. He knew what he wanted to do in this game, he just needed to work towards it and become stronger so he could do as he wished.

"Is it that obvious? The looking new bit, I mean."

Did he need any help? He tried to shift his wings again for more feathers to fall with him. Perhaps not the most graceful thing. He seriously hoped it wasn't something he had done that messed things up. He hadn't meant for his wings to be shifted in such an odd angle -- they did hurt after all. Those mismatched eyes looked at the female before him. Was she friend? Foe? She was going on how his feathers were quite majestic. He tilted his head to the side slightly as she asked if he ever thought about selling a few.

"Selling a few? I mean , I guess I never really thought of it. Do you really think they would sell well? Wait you said they were majestic. I could always allow you to have some for a bit of help. I mean I do actually need help."

His wings slightly drooped down as he spoke. This could work, perhaps she could figure out how to fix his wings and not that-- but if he sold some of his feathers , he could make money. Which meant he could already buy some gear for his journey. There was a whole wide world out there and he could explore as much as he liked. Plus, he hadn't forgotten those little secrets he had found when he had been at work. He needed to see for himself just what he could find in this game. He stepped closer to her.

"I actually just joined the game. Embarassing -- this state that I found myself in. Though perhaps you are a guardian angel of sorts , I mean that in you happening to come by here now. For whatever reason. I mean these rune stones are fantastic. Couldn't tell you a thing about them-- but they are curious things. About that help.. there are plenty of feathers around that have fallen. Take all you wish, I do only wish for some of the profit should you sell them. As for help, I.. well my wings... they seem to be bent some and they hurt. Wouldn't happen to know something to help there."

Aika looked around them, a playful smirk on her lips. Part of her was still looking for her original bounty, though they already seemed long gone. The other part? It was reminiscing her own arrival in this world. It wasn't pleasant. Nor was it graceful. But she made do. He would, too.

"Hm, I suppose so. Most people who are found in this part of the world are mostly new. The odds were in my favor."

When Aika turned to him, she did so with the same smirk still on her lips. Any time she could make a profit off of someone, financially or otherwise, was a good time. She may have lost her original bounty, and the feathers may not fetch as high of a price as a wanted killer, but she would make do. As per usual.

"What kind of help, sweetie? Ah, that kind of help... Well, they do look a bit...pained. Can you walk? I believe there should be a healer or two at Honeyhome."

She tried not to use the words "broken" or "horrifyingly disfigured," especially since that last phrase was more concerning than helpful. Quite exaggerated, too. She was already walking around, picking up as many fallen feathers as she could, gracefully, when she remembered a long-forgotten aid she had received in that town when she was starting out. A lot must have changed while she was away. Still, it was worth a shot.

"Pretty little things, aren't they? Alas, pretty little things can be quite dangerous if left alone."

When her eyes fell upon the runes, she raised an eyebrow. What were they? Would they be of any use to anyone, especially herself? Or would they endanger the newcomers to this universe? There was only one way to find out: Aika instantly flicked a dagger made of hardened water at them to see what would happen, how they would react.
