Give me good and bad ideas and the permission to steal and adapt them as I please. On a serious note, looking for cool ideas.

Human:

Divine Affinity: Your character, for some reason, has attracted the interest of a deity. The connection is faint, but results in an interesting destiny full of twists and turns. For good or ill.

Oath: Your character has sworn a sacred oath to uphold some principle. When upholding the Oath, the character is empowered. More specific and difficult to uphold Oaths grant more powerful effects than more general ones.

Dread: There is a terror that haunts you. It lurks behind your every thought and action driving you to overcome it or flee. Whatever it is, you simply cannot tear your gaze away from it. Your paranoia grants you increased resistance to mental interference, but your physical energy drains at an increased rate from the strain.

Beast:

Squishy: You are from a beast race without bones. You are squishy and have somewhat increased resistance to being hit. Wiggley Wiggely~

Purr: (cat folk only) Your smooth demeanor helps lower other's guards in social situations.

Chimera: You have manifested the traits of multiple beasts. In ancient times this would have been viewed as a divine boon. Today, most consider you an abomination.

Emerald Heart: Some beastfolk carry a touch of the emerald in them. They are more animal than person. (You can look like King from Tekken).

Magia:

Mounted Weapon: Your weapon is internalized or mounted on to your body in some fashion. Nobody knows what this does but it sure looks cool.

Flight mode: You are capable of limited flight, however, your submersiblity is severely hampered.

Faerin:

Heart of a Colossus: You have increased resistance to being knocked back or assailed by fierce elements. You are closer to the earth, and the earth will not desert her children.

Yaldian:

Mind Over Matter: You have limited telekinesis. Weapons and other things that could be equipped to that slot may be manipulated around your area so long as you have ownership of them.

Human:
  • Cultural Affinity: The cosmopolitan nature of humans gives you the ability to integrate into the culture of other races. Pick a non-human race - you are able to interact more easily with them in social situations.
  • Untainted: You are more resistant to the corrupting influences that plague Arcia. However, you are also more resistant to magic that would benefit you, such as healing.
Elf:
  • Mental Block: Your mind is a fortress. You can block out any mental intrusions and interference at will, but you cannot benefit from any mental abilities so long as your barrier is up. While your defenses are up, your ability to understand emotional cues is stunted.
Faerin:
  • Uncanny: There is something about your appearance that isn't quite right, making you more off-putting than most of your kind. This intimidation factor can work to your benefit or your detriment.
  • Overlooked: A lineage of servitude makes you very good at fading into the background. People are less likely to notice you in social situations unless you draw attention to yourself.
Beastfolk:
  • Specialized Diet:Your race has a limited diet. Pick between: Carnivore, Herbivore, Piscivore, Insectivore. You gain more satiety when eating food within your diet, but become ill if you eat too much of anything else.
    • You could add more types of diet here - these just cover the most "common" ones.
  • Strong Stomach: You're able to digest things that would make the stomachs of other people churn. Eating carrion and rotten food doesn't sicken you, but all other food is less appetizing.
  • Torpor: You can enter a low-energy state when resources are scarce. While in torpor, your needs are dramatically reduced, but you are unable to do anything but rest. You are compelled to hibernate in the winter regardless of your needs.
Magia:
  • Networking: Your can exploit your connection to the Magia hivemind to your benefit. You have an advantage when attempting to persuade other Magia. However, you have difficulty communicating with biological races.
  • Compressed Communication: You are able to communicate complex ideas with short bursts of noise. This can be understood and responded to magia that share the trait. You have difficulty simplifying your communication in any other way.
(more as I think of them.)

Straight from my personal docs when I was making not-TS3 a year ago. Since many things were similar I will add them to the list.

Human

Soul Mate
There is a special someone out there. A person that you are drawn to again and again. Unfortunately, it isn’t always a positive attraction either. This person could be a destined lover, a best friend, a rival, or a nemesis. You may change the mentioned character once per Season.
  • This can increase the effectiveness of abilities or interactions on the mentioned character.
  • This is more effective if the mentioned character also has Soul Mate and is paired with you.

Force of Will
In times of crisis, whether it is a cook-off against a bitter rival, the final leg of a critical exploration, your class finals, or even just another bloody battle. You push harder than ever through sheer will to bring out your best effort! Increasing whatever skill is required to get the job done.
  • This can be used to boost any action once per event.
  • This can be used to ward off one mental ailment once per event.

Dream Calling
Are you dreaming of being a butterfly, or is a butterfly dreaming that it is you?

Whenever you are unconscious, there is a slim chance you will hear a voice from nothingness. This voice resounds within your mind and soul. It will be either one of gentle guidance or one of dark temptations. Why do you hear such things ever since entering Terrasphere? Why do you feel like telling others would be most unfortunate?
  • This allows a character to have some meta-knowledge without having to take in a thread.
  • This can be used to receive all sorts of additional hints or be fed terrible lies...
  • The rest meter only charges at half the normal when this occurs.

Sentimental Moment
Your past holds one or more important moments that shaped who you are today. Whether you wanted them to or not, they always come back to you sooner or later. A moment like this is one that can be invoked for actions you take, beliefs you have or other aspects of your character.

  • This can be used to create flashback backstories for your character or dream scenarios out of game.
  • This can be used to enhance your abilities under specific situations tied to your Sentimental Moment.

Beastfolk

Nature Bound
You are closer to nature and the bountiful mana it produces. The ground, the sea, the air, and even the fire that can consume it. The core elementals are also a part of nature. Those with this are at home in the various natural habitats and may find their abilities and negotiations in those places better than those less attuned to the natural world.
  • This may allow increased abilities when in natural environments, plains, forests, caverns etc.
  • This increases your reputation with other Nature Bound sorts

Wild Bound
You are quite literally wild at heart. You feel closer to the animal kingdom than the human one and have forged a bond with your chosen beast spirit. The beasts you can be bound with are limited to what is unlocked at this time. The more types you choose the weaker your affinity with the individual types will be. This can be changed once per Season.
  • This can improve your affinity with the animals of your type
  • This may alter your appearance in various ways (animal ears, tail, fangs, eye changes etc).

Magia

Custom Robo
You can alter your abilities and appearance through customization of your frame/body, This allows you to mimic one other racial trait per thread. With the exception of Fate Thread yada yada (place a exclusive trait for each here).
  • You can interact and survive in most environments more easily with this.
  • You can use this to flavor your weaponry and armor as well as FC changes.

Global

A.D.W.
You have in some way or another acquired an A.D.W. (Anti Dissonance Weapon). You are naturally able to detect dissonance and have weaponry designed to fight it. However, your legacy is hard to understand and you must learn the traits of the A.D.W. programs over time. Dissonance is also drawn to attack and destroy you.

To fight the "Nemesis" is your calling or they will end you first.
  • Those who hold these are named after the Greek numerals, Alpha, Gamma, Nu etc...
  • This can be used to improve effectiveness vs Dissonant enemies.
  • This can be used to gain lore through A.D.W. Archive unlocking.
  • You may use one magia trait in exchange for one of your base mastery traits.

I don't have any in mind for other races cause they suck.

Adrenaline: In times of crisis you can sacrifice your reserves for a burst of intense activity. This could allow you to perform feats beyond your normal means, but you'll burn through your need bars very quickly.

Nomad: You're a natural wanderer, always heading for new places. Your need bars are less affected by travelling and you have a knack for pathfinding even in unfamiliar territory (Inspect Mode shows viable paths). However, you start feeling anxious whenever you're in one place for too long.

Scavenger: For the sake of survival you can and will eat anything. Your need bars refill more when you eat or drink something, and to some extent you are resistant to rotting and poisonous food. You may not enjoy the taste of food quite as much as others.

Sweat: You sweat. A lot. While this doesn't make you very popular it does make your stamina bar last a lot longer. Just keep an eye on your thirst bar.

Tinkerer: You're drawn towards tools and gadgets, almost always having something in your hands to either work or play with. You have a natural affinity for handheld equipment or manually controlled devices and can quickly get the hang of unfamiliar tools. To a lesser extent, this may also make you a bit more flexible with whatever weapons you use.

Vocalist: You have a wide vocal range. Once you've learned a language you can speak it fluently without an accent. You also have an easier time pretending to be someone else, as you can imitate their voice.

Blue Blood: You stand out from the crowd, your behaviour graceful even without training or effort. This is beneficial when you want to make a good impression, especially towards others with Blue Blood. However, despite your best attempts, you're incapable of hiding in plain sight: you'll always be spotted.

Cosmic Plaything: For whatever reason you tend to draw the attention of those who govern the world. For good or for ill, they may interfere in small but significant ways in response to your actions: appease them and you experience greater fortune, anger them and even simple tasks can develop complications.

Diplomat: You have a knack for getting along with people. This doesn't mean your actions don't have consequences, but people are more likely to give you a chance, even those belonging to other cultures and races.

Folklore: All people have folklore, of course, but you've heard so many stories that you can't remember them all. This might mean that you always have some understanding of topics which have existed since ancient times, or maybe a critical piece of information comes to you at the right moment. However, this information is always either very basic, limited, or outdated.

Human:

Ingenuity - the diverse and adaptive nature of humanity allows you to excel at anything you want- but as is the tragic case with humans, in such a short lifetime, there is only so much one can achieve. You have dedicated that lifetime to the study of a one thing (or two things, albeit each less than masterful) and therefore have a wealth of knowledge and skill in that/those things. (How that would be determined is up to the balancing committee)

Hate - a tale as old as time. Humans thrive on cooperation and social interaction, but during the course of their lives, not every interaction is positive. It could be a person, it could be an entire civilization, it could be an entire race of people. Your hatred drives you to ignore logic and defy (some) limitations in order to bring calamity on the object of your ire. (Think favored enemy, but it could be a single person or you could delve into the conflict of racism, or even 'I hate those gosh darn Astoreans.')

Magia:

Modular - rolling off the late season 4 information found in both Camp Hope IV and the Jin/Zelrius infiltration, we learned that Magia are able to integrate both organic and inorganic matter into their composition. Sans the Magia Forges, the process would be slower and more localized, but allowing for a magia to change their composition (or build, etc, play around with it) between threads could incentivize people to play around more with the race.

Beastfolk:

Imprint - creatures like cats, for example, bond with their owners over time. Having the ability to imprint on a person, thereby giving them Impetus to be protective, loving, trusting, etc. could be a powerful plot point to play off of.
