Comms NPC Side Story (Comms) Turn of the New Day

There was this hollowing feeling inside of MAI's chest now as she tried to dance around the subject. Acelios already said he didn't want to see the memories, and he clearly did not remember... but the magia girl could not stop thinking about the memory fragment from before the crash. When Szofrit cradled EVE and very specifically thought about how she was partly modeled after Ahylios as if he was meant to be her father.

Will EVE be a daughter forgotten by her parents, now that one was gone and the other has become a clean slate?

"Affirmation - In that case, this Unit will not attempt to extract any remaining Ahylios components for later use as she had done with the other Dragonship magia, unless such components are provided voluntarily."

And it seemed that her collection would not grow either on this day, truly a sad state of affairs.

"Reassurance - This Unit believes that the Keychild in Unit Acelios' arms will have plenty of support when the time is right, voices to guide her."

"A Wish - This unit hopes that the well in both of your souls will overflow with love, and that kindness will lead your way."

That was really all she could say at this point.

[Raid Boss]

After some thinking, Acelios transferred Emmie to his human arm. He then reached over to his magia arm unsocketed a finger from his hand, hearing Ordnung's annoyed breathing somewhere at the back of his mind, before he offered it to Mai.

"I'm not sure what purpose these magicanical parts serve you, but none of us are attached to our form, so if this can serve as a way for me to thank you for all you have done for me, and for her, please have it. However, if I may... please keep it a secret from the Headmaster. As Acelios, I find it unnerving to so easily be able to pick up seething anger even when no words are exchanged."

The brown-haired magia flashed Mai a soft smile as he headed inside, stopping by Chako to engage her in chatter,

"And thank you Chako for today, Emmie was happy to be held by you, I hope we can hang out again soon, I'm sure she would like that very much."

Pausing momentarily, Acelios looked up to the glistening nightsky before he turned back to the felis,

"Would you also like a magia digit as a token of thanks?"

He said, hearing Ordnung silently screaming in the void this time, there was much for Acelios to learn before he can socialize properly with his fellow Starcalled...

Chako was a bit surprised that Acelios actually noticed her presence there... Sure, she knew MAI had seen her, but Acelios surprised her!

"I'm glad little Emmie enjoyed her time together with me! I'd love to spend more time together too!" Chako gently stroke the hair of the sleeping Emmie, in the same way her mom had done for her multiple times over.

Then, she froze in place when a Magia digit of thanks was brought up, "Uhn... N-no thanks. Miss Clarissa is already paying me for today, a-a-a-a-and I was already plenty happy to spend time with little Emmie! T-that much is plenty!" As if I'd ever want something as creepy as that! Chako screamed inwardly.

MAI stared blankly at the digit in the palm of her hand, somewhat dumbfounded that Acelios would just gift her a part of himself like this... especially a part of his original self, a part of Ahylios. If his 'corpse' was still lying somewhere near the Dragonship, then she would have salvaged it, but this was a bit different.

A large block of metal suddenly materialized behind the magia girl as its camouflage deactivated briefly, hissing as air escaped through filters, the front slowly opening as countless different locks opened up. Though MAI shot @Chako another look, it felt pointless to exactly hide things here at this point. The box opened up to reveal that it already contained an arm, hovering in the middle as it remained suspended in place via magnetic force. Below it, a small slot opened up where the magia put in the singular digit, and the box sealed up and disappeared again.

"Discretion - This Unit hopes that Emmie's nanny understands that the gifting that had occurred here best remain out of everyone else's mind. Can this Unit receive an affirmation of this?"

 

[Chako]

Chako blinked a few times as she saw the large metal box suddenly appear with a severed arm in it, and now having a severed finger in it too... She only snapped out of it when MAI called out to her, "Y-y-yes! Y-you don't need t-t-t-t-t-to worry about me saying a thing! Acelios gave it to you himself, so i-i-i-i-i-it's all good! I-I'll be discreet!" Chako hurriedly replied while taking a step back from MAI... Sure, she did hear the conversation about mechanical parts being of use to MAI, but uhn... That didn't make it any less creepy to see the arm there! No thanks! Please don't take mine either! I like having my arms in place!

MAI blinked a few times as she observed Chako's body language, hearing her words.

"Concern - Entity designated as Emmie's nanny exhibits symptoms consistent with lowered body temperature. Temperature lowers as night falls, Emmie's nanny should follow inside to warm up so its stutter can be halted and the infliction of cold can be prevented."

With a smile completely uncharacteristic of a scary individual, she gestured for @Chako to follow where they would meet Clarissa for her group hug.

Chako took a few seconds to process what she had just heard, but she eventually managed to make a half-baked reply, "Y-yeah! I-it is cold already, huh!? I-I'll go inside!" Chako didn't think she sounded believable at all there, but... This should be good enough.

She wasn't really planning on sleeping on Arcia today though... She was going to need to change log-out settings to not make her body disappear, then log-out for a bit after laying down to tell her mom about it... Should be alright though.
