Thread trigger warning: Nudity, sexually suggestive
The downpour was relentless. Nothing short of a monsoon storm, a kind of weather that Fina had never experienced before. Along with the deafening roar of thunder, she sluggishly dragged herself to the cabin, the only source of light in the near vicinity, aside from the occasional lightning. Even with her heavy coat, there was absolutely nothing she could do to shield herself from the harsh elements. At least the heavy rain could wash off most of the blood that coated her, though some of it was caked into her clothes so much that the only way to get rid of it would be to have the items professionally repaired by a Lander.

Earlier in the day, the feline had invited Cleo for another hunt, so to speak. A small adventure that involved a quest aimed at skilled monster-killers. Even if the girl could have done it by herself, she liked having the security of another player going with her, just in case. Cleo offered herself as the natural choice. Especially after everything that happened between the two girls and Vina in the secret spring. They had become more… intimate. Not a couple, but indeed very good friends.
Unfortunately, this hunt was even more demanding than the last. Though, at the very least, there was a sturdy wooden cabin in the area provided by the quest giver to be used as their base of operations. Sometime after their arrival, Fina had decided she would scout the surrounding area. A task easy enough for one person, so Cleo would be instead in charge of getting the cabin into working order.
It was on this scouting hike of hers that Fina underestimated just how quickly the weather could change in this part of Falderen. To make matters worse, she actually ran into their target by complete accident. After her attempt to flee was ruined by the worsening conditions of the environment and a powerful foe, she had little choice but to face it head-on and go all out.
With her HP well below the halfway mark, she staggered, using one of her arcanamancy spears as a walking cane to help her. Finally finding herself in front of the cabin, she looked up, feeling the pain of heavy raindrops drumming against her face. She could almost feel the comfort of the interior. Yet, there was a strange absence of looking forward to it all. Perhaps the encounter was a small yet firm reminder that even after surviving such a brutal battle as the one against Red Fever-driven insect matron, she could still very much die if she got careless.
Pushing the front door open, she almost fell right in, the wooden floor and carpet nearby very quickly becoming drenched as all the water from outside tried to get in, and even more dripped from the feline's attire. A single bolt of lightning split a tree in the distance, nearly igniting it in the process as Fina's arrival undoubtedly alerted the only current occupant of the house, her partly-hollow eyes looking for the crimson-clad woman.
