Personality

Christopher Samuel Jackson is known to many as a very creative individual. Although he often tries to be very discreet, especially at how skillful he can be, preferring instead to be as efficient as possible without getting anyone's attention, he almost always has a difficult time staying on the down-low. For one, he can also be very opinionated, which never goes unnoticed. He's also quite hedonistic, which is also hard to keep a secret. Chris considers himself quite the charmer, and his persuasiveness can never be denied. Most of the time anyway. His main problem is that he's aimless, hard to pin down, his head always up in the clouds. Even before he can finish one thing, he's already dabbling in another. He can be devious and resentful, too, and when he hits his limit, he ends up being very destructive.

Positive: Charming, Creative, Discreet, Efficient, Persuasive, Skillful
Negative: Aimless, Destructive, Devious, Hedonistic, Opinionated, Resentful

Background

Christopher Samuel Jackson was born the eldest child of two siblings, him the son and his younger sister. Both his father, a rocket scientist, and his mother, a retired brain surgeon, spent most of his childhood working overseas. The children, who lived with their grandma, were left to fend for themselves with whatever scraps their parents sent them. Like his younger sister who would eventually forge her own path in the United States as a Michelin-starred chef, Chris became a very influential and powerful lawyer, exclusively working for the 1%.

It was, actually, one of his clients that led him to finding out about the game known as Terrasphere. The rich young woman was involved in a scandal that ended up with her as the primary murder suspect for her older husband's death, even though it was the game that did him in. Fun fact: The wife knew the risks and actually plotted to have things end up this way but was caught by her husband's sister, but Chris can't have that be the end of his career, so after sleeping with both women, he decided to investigate the game himself. Worst idea ever.

When Chris played the game for the first time, he found himself surprisingly too into it, almost derailing his own investigation. In a strange twist of fate, his client, the wife, disappeared, and the case was thrown out of court. Was that a bad turn of events for Chris? Maybe, but more importantly, it just gave him a lot of free time to game. Nice.

In battle, Chrys is a Stalwart Defender who protects his allies with the Claymore of the Fated Loyalist (Greatsword), with which he performs his Sword of No Skill style of swordsmanship that combines his Crush and Slash masteries. Without his weapon, he resorts to his own fighting style (Martial Arts) called Brawl-Around Defense. His more mystical arsenal is known as the Thousand Sparkling Gold, which is birthed through the combination of his Geomancy and Aura masteries, also dubbed Auric Geomancy. The Stone King rarely attacks first, preferring instead to make sure everyone else, including his enemies, get to do so, only prioritizing his survival to the very end. As much as possible, the Stonelord Sovereign tries not to unsheathe his Sword of No Skill, preferring instead to deescalate situations with just his Brawl-Around Defense. When the God of Rocks makes his move, however, the entire earth shakes and mountains crumble. Dare to stand in his way and one shall suffer the wrath of the rock. It's always the quiet ones that often bring about mass destruction.

Claymore of the Fated Loyalist

Sword

The Claymore of the Fated Loyalist (Greatsword) appears as a heavy claymore, which is a two-edged broadsword. It is blunter than sharp and glows a golden color when channeling Geomancy through the Excelled Crystal of Loyalty (Focus).

Excelled Crystal of Loyalty

Focus

The Excelled Crystal of Loyalty (Focus) serves as Chrys' focus for his Geomancy. The crystal orb was primarily intended to float around its user but Chrys embedded it in the Claymore of the Fated Loyalist (Greatsword) to be more practical.

The Fated Plate of Excellence

Heavy Armor

The Fated Plate of Excellence (Heavy Armor) consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. This also includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding.

The Fated Fist of Excellence

Gauntlets

The Fated Fist of Excellence (Gauntlets) is a pair of gauntlets that allows Chrys to perform his Brawl-Around Defense as efficiently as he possibly can. It is part of the Fated Plate of Excellence (Heavy Armor).

Traits

Fate Dice (2). All humans figuratively roll a die at birth to establish the kind of life they will lead. The result of this die determines their looks, their wealth, their social standing and more. A 1 represents the most misfortunate fate imaginable while a 6 is practically a life lived with a silver spoon in one's mouth.

The 1st time you pick this trait, roll a d6 die to determine the hand you have been dealt.

Chrys rolled a 4, which started him in the middle class or something. (June-July 2033)

The 2nd time you pick this trait, you can roll a d6 in character every month to temporarily change your luck, potentially offsetting your birth die. However, you must live with the result for the rest of the month.

Chrys rolled a 1 for the month of April 2033.
Chrys rolled a 4 for the month of October 2033.
Chrys rolled a 6 for the month of December 2033.

Descriptions & Shortcuts

Known Combinations:
(Free Actions + Actions/Bonus Actions)
  • Taunt (Free) + Attack/Protect (Attack)/Ultra Protect (Attack)/Hinder/Ultra Hinder
Chrys' taunting aura that resembles a raging bull demon is imposed through Extreme Extermination: Demon Taurine Charge! after any attack, including Brawl Combat Legend, Thousand Sparkling Gold: Power over the Stone, Thousand Sparkling Gold: Light Through the Darkness, Thousand Sparkling Gold: Demolishing Splinter, and Thousand Sparkling Gold: Grand Scattering of Heavenly Splinter.
  • Alter Hinder (Free) + Hinder/Ultra Hinder
The jagged shards of earth manifested through his Thousand Sparkling Gold: Demolishing Splinter and Thousand Sparkling Gold: Grand Scattering of Heavenly Splinter become a much darker color, signifying their more physical threat, through The Emperor's Judgment of Rock. A lighter color, which is their default color, signifies their more destabilizing threat.
  • Guardian (Free) + Protect/Ultra Protect/Savior/Recover/Rush
When Chrys Protects (including Ultra Protects) or Saves someone, a golden light shield manifests around his targets through War Pose. The same shield also manifests around him when he Recovers or Rushes.
  • Protect + Taunt (BA) + Taunt (FA) + Guardian (FA)
Chrys protects a single ally by giving them the Protected State and up to 15 damage mitigation while taunting the enemy with a quintupled threat value! Although a decent opening move, considering Chrys' huge HP pool without risking Vulnerable, Chrys is too much of a coward apathetic to begin a fight by risking himself for one person...unless, of course, there's a lot of monetary rewards involved!
  • Ultra Protect + Savior (BA) + Guardian (FA), sometimes +Taunt (FA)
Chrys gives up to three allies the Protected State, up to +25 to a Save Roll for next cycle, and up to 15 damage mitigation while he becomes Vulnerable! While he may also share in the Save Roll boost and damage mitigation, he cannot gain the Protected State. Because Chrys becomes Vulnerable with this strategy, he rarely taunts the enemy with it...unless, of course, there's a healer around!
  • Hinder/Ultra Hinder + Taunt (BA) + Taunt (FA) + Alter Hinder (FA)
Chrys destabilizes a target with tons of damage, altering that damage to attack the HP instead of the HP, while taunting the enemy with a quintupled threat value. Although potentially a very powerful defensive maneuver, Chrys is, again, too much of a coward apathetic to pursue this course of action without a healer and a lot of monetary rewards.
  • Hinder/Ultra Hinder + Alter Hinder (BA) + Alter Hinder (FA), sometimes +Taunt (FA)
Chrys destroys a target by altering his destabilizing attack into a more physical attack, taking chunks of the target's HP instead of its SP. If his HP is full or he feels spicy, he may even taunt the target for normal the threat value.

[Geomancy] [Aura]
Code:
Sword of No Skill: Rumbling Descent!

[Stable Attack] (Offense) (Attack) Chrys performs a rudimentary and reliable attack. He performs a powerful downward smash with his sword that can crush the ground beneath the target's feet.

A weapon-less version of this skill is called Brawl-Around Defense: Infamous Blast, which is basically the same thing but using only his fist to perform a straight punch that can sometimes send the target flying away. [Crush Weapons] [Slash Weapons] [Martial Arts]
Code:

Sword of No Skill: Tectonic Transformation

[Burst Attack] (Offense) (Attack) (Special) Chrys performs a risky explosive attack, rolling 10d20 and adding a d20 for each mastery and weapon rank (max: 20d20), but becomes vulnerable. He shatters the earth in front of him with his weapon, sending pieces of jagged rock hurtling everywhere.

A weapon-less version of this skill is called Brawl-Around Defense: Supreme Burst, which is basically the same thing but using his feet or fist to do the earth-shattering. [Crush Weapons] [Slash Weapons] [Martial Arts]
Code:

Heart of the Mountains

[Area Effect] (Free) (Bonus) (Special) Chrys' attacks affect an area. As a Free Action, he distributes his damage in any amount to the targeted enemy and any other enemies adjacent to them, taking retaliation (if any) from each enemy he attacks this way. As a Bonus Action, he deals 1d20 (D) 2d20 (B) 3d20 (S) flat Damage to the targeted enemy and all other enemies adjacent to them. This BA does not trigger retaliation damage. When the battle map is not in use, he may target any enemies that are narratively close to one another. Basically, rocks and stones break his enemies' bones! Chrys' Auric Geomancy also surrounds another ally with a protective barrier of barely visible grains of sand and earth. [Aura]
Code:

Mud-Slap

[Attack] (Base) (Offense) (Attack) Chrys performs a basic attack. The attack is usually just a slap in the face, especially when using only Martial Arts, but can also be done with his weapon when paired with Crush Weapons and/or Slash Weapons. The weapon or his hand is coated with actual mud when paired with Geomancy. [Geomancy] [Crush Weapons] [Slash Weapons] [Martial Arts]
Code:

Drill Run

[Rush] (Base) (Bonus) Chrys doubles his total movement count this cycle. It may not be a drill, but he's proven to be much faster when believing it's the case. Don't ask or he'll go into a long-winded monologue about appearances and actuality.
Code:

Shore Up

[Recover] (Base) (Action) Chrys recovers his HP, doubling his roll result on a nat-20. He takes a breather, patches up his wound, drinks a potion, and/or calms down, among other things. Osmanthus wine Health potion tastes the same as he remembers, but where are those that share the memory?
Code:

Sand Tomb

[Protect] (Attack) (Defense) Chrys performs a protective attack, giving an ally within range the Protected State whether or not he attacked. Manifesting his Thousand Sparkling Gold through his Auric Geomancy, he traps an ally's attacker inside a harshly raging sandstorm that also inflicts damage before they can attack with full force. Some of the sand swirls around Chrys' ally as a transparent shield of golden light, boosting their defense. [Geomancy] [Aura]
Code:

Precipice Blades

[Ultra Protect] (Attack) (Defense) (Special) Chrys performs a powerful albeit risky protective attack, giving 3 allies within range the Protected State whether or not he attacked, but becomes vulnerable.

Manifesting his Thousand Sparkling Gold through his Auric Geomancy, he commands the power of the land through fearsome blades of stone to interrupt an ally's attacker before they can attack with full force. Because of the amount of control and energy this skill requires, he is rendered vulnerable during its casting. [Geomancy] [Aura]

Code:

Earthquake

[Ultra Hinder] (Attack) (Defense) (Special) Chrys greatly hinders his enemy, greatly damaging the enemy's stability (SP), and gains the Vulnerable State. Manifesting his powered-up Thousand Sparkling Gold through his Auric Geomancy, he sets off an earthquake that strikes everyone around him, greatly destabilizing them. [Geomancy] [Aura]
Code:

Sand Attack

[Taunting] (Free) (Bonus) (Selection) Chrys grabs the enemy’s attention. As a Free Action, when he performs any attack action, he may attempt to taunt his target and multiply his total damage calculation by 3. The result is his Threat Value. As a Bonus Action, his threat value is multiplied by 5 instead of 3. He takes this action for free when he selects any [defense] tag action.

Chrys imposes a taunting aura using his Auric Geomancy through Thousand Sparkling Gold, only to hurl sand in the target's face like the asshole that he is. The taunting aura resembles a raging bull demon until it disperses into the sand in the target's face.
Code:

Mud Sport

[Alter Hinder] (Free) (Bonus) Chrys has precise control over hindering abilities. As a Free Action, when he uses Mud Shot or Earthquake, he distributes his damage as he wishes between his target’s HP and SP. As a Bonus Action, when he uses Mud Shot or Earthquake, he adds 30 bonus damage.

With his Thousand Sparkling Gold, Chrys kicks up mud on the battlefield before using Mud Shot or Earthquake, making the aforementioned moves more of a physical threat than ever before. What an asshole. [Geomancy] [Aura]
Code:

Earth Eater

[Defense] (Passive) Chrys is more resilient to damage and pain. As a Passive, his maximum HP increases by 10 per mastery rank.

Chrys' Auric Geomancy increases his defense, utilizing barely visible grains of sand and earth to augment and enhance his physical security where needed. [Aura]

[Guardian] (Free) Chrys' aura mitigates damage. As a Free Action, he grants his action or bonus action target a 15 damage mitigation. If AoE was used, he distributes the heal in any amount between up to 3 targets in multiple of 5s.

Chrys' Auric Geomancy mitigates and reduces incoming damage. [Aura]
Code:

Sand Force

[Savior] (Bonus) Chrys' aura protects others from harm. As a Bonus Action, his aura keeps him and his allies safe. He gives 3 targets within range +25 to a save roll next cycle. He may also target himself. Savior may not stack.

Chrys' Auric Geomancy also surrounds another ally with a protective barrier of barely visible grains of sand and earth. [Aura]
Code:
Sword of No Skill: Large-Scale Sweep

[Reckless Attack] (Offense) (Attack) (Special) Chrys performs a powerful reckless attack with high-risk and high-reward but gains the Vulnerable state. This is a wide but very predictable slash with his weapon that leaves him pretty vulnerable for a counterattack.

A weapon-less version of this skill is called Brawl-Around Defense: Horrible Charge, which is basically the same principle but he just charges at the opponent with his whole body in an ill-advised attempt to crush them with brute force. [Crush Weapons] [Slash Weapons] [Martial Arts]
Code:

Thousand Sparkling Gold: Disperser of Nimbus

[Counter] Chrys times a counter attack that deals extra damage if successful and may reduce an incoming damage source this cycle (the reduction applies before Multipliers). However, if unsuccessful, this action becomes a normal attack. Manifesting his Thousand Sparkling Gold through his Auric Geomancy, he wills jagged shards of the earth beneath his very feet to rise in the air, floating in front of him, to reduce incoming damage as they're hurled at the enemy as a defensive attack spell. [Geomancy] [Aura]
Code:

Heavenly Nature

[Inspire] Chrys inspires or helps allies, giving three targets a bonus to any mastery check, expertise check, or contribution roll that they are attempting. Inspire lasts one cycle and does not affect Saves. His Auric Geomancy puts out an inspiring presence through his Thousand Sparkling Gold. Money and ambition make the world go round after all. [Aura]
Code:

Heart of Stone

[Steady Attack] Chrys performs an attack with reliable damage. He morphs the earth around the target’s feet to spike upward as a tactical strike. [Geomancy]
Code:

Sword of No Skill: Howling Defense

[Sneak Attack] (Offense) (Attack) Chrys performs a sneak attack that if successful gains 40 extra damage. Otherwise, it gains only 20 damage. He feints peaceful resolution before performing an earth-shattering downward strike with his weapon as an underhanded opening move.

A weapon-less version of this skill is called Brawl-Around Defense: Wicked Blast, which is basically the same thing but using only his fist to perform the direct forward strike at his enemy's body. [Crush Weapons] [Slash Weapons] [Martial Arts]
Code:

Sword of No Skill: Dominion of Jade, Domination of Gold

[Critical Attack] (Offense) (Attack) (Special) Chrys performs a risky attack with advantage and an expanded critical range that if successful triples his total damage but he gains the Vulnerable State. He makes an earth-shattering forward thrust with his weapon, which is meant to deflect incoming attacks, including projectiles, but is mostly just used to directly deal a deadly stab straight at the enemy's exposed weak point.

A weapon-less version of this skill is called Brawl-Around Defense: Cruel Combat, which is basically the same principle but he just kicks his opponent in the head without hesitation or strategic planning. [Crush Weapons] [Slash Weapons] [Martial Arts]

Claymore of the Fated Loyalist

The Claymore of the Fated Loyalist (Greatsword) appears as a heavy claymore, which is a two-edged broadsword. It is blunter than sharp, perfect for crushing instead of slashing, and glows a golden color when channeling Geomancy through the Earthly Lock of Mortal Chains. With the weapon, Chrys defends his allies with his Sword of No Skill sword style.

Legends tell of the Fated Loyalist as a mythical god-like personage who defended this world's inhabitants from his own kin, a divine pantheon lost to time. During the last stand of the Fated Loyalist, he sacrificed himself to destroy all that was and will be of his own people, with some of his essence stored within this ancient claymore.

Excelled Crystal of Loyalty

The Excelled Crystal of Loyalty (Focus), also known as the Earthly Lock of Mortal Chains, serves as Chrys' focus for his Geomancy. The crystal orb was primarily intended to float around its user but Chrys embedded it in the Claymore of the Fated Loyalist (Greatsword) to be more practical.

The Earthly Lock of Mortal Chains was "excelled" so many times just to instill in it an undying loyalty to whoever wields its crystal. How does one "excel" a crystal? Well, that answer lies with the ancient artificers...for a hefty sum.

The Fated Plate of Excellence

Locally known as the Groundbreaker Armor, the Fated Plate of Excellence (Heavy Armor) consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. This also includes gauntlets (see Fated Fist of Excellence (Gauntlets)), heavy leather boots, a visored helmet that Chrys never wears, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body. The plates are actually magic, birthed through Geomancy.

This strange plate has an inscription on the lower back that reads: "Whosoever wears this armor, if they be worthy, shall possess the power of Korg." To this day, no one has any idea who or what Korg is.

The Fated Fist of Excellence

Also known as Jagged Wing, the Fated Fist of Excellence (Gauntlets) is a pair of gauntlets that allows Chrys to perform his Brawl-Around Defense as efficiently as he possibly can. The part that resembles a large feather also functions as a bracer to defend his arms from danger. It is part of the Fated Plate of Excellence (Heavy Armor).

Seems like an overkill to still have gauntlets on when you can just magic some dirt and sand on your fists as makeshift gauntlets. What do you mean magic is limited? This isn't Final Fantasy, bro.
Slime Shot
★ ★ ★
A uniquely pungent liquor with a viscous and throat-clinging texture. Each gelatinous shot comes with a strong hit of lime and potent alcohol. The bottle itself is cube-shaped and made of stone and uniquely contoured to resemble that of a golem's face. Considering that the lime-green liquid inside the opaque bottle glows with intense vigor, which can be seen in place of the golem's eyes. With the mouth of the bottle squared, every shot of jello that comes out is cubed, making it difficult to find a fitting shot glass for such a strange drink.

This bottle supplies an endless amount of alcohol. Anytime the bottle isn't full, it will refill itself over a long period of time. Don't drink it too hastily though, if the bottle is ever empty, it will stop refilling itself.

Fever Beever
★ ★ ★ ★
There is something terribly cute and awful about this primon, which is a bee-colored beaver with tiny wings. Whatever world this amalgamation of bee and beaver came from, you can't help but ponder at its mystifying existence.

This primon is affected by the effect of the Red Fever, roll a d6 to determine its mood whenever it is summoned (1-2: Anger / 3: Sadness / 4: Joy / 5: Fear / 6: Disgust), that emotion is amplified by four times.

  • June-July 2033 : Chrys, with Nancy's backing, buys and reimagines Wicked's Rest Tavern (and Funeral Parlor)!

Wicked's Rest Tavern (and Funeral Parlor)

The Wicked's Rest Tavern (and Funeral Parlor) is a, well, tavern attached to a funeral parlor in the Falderen capital of Stokbon. It first appeared in Meet in a Tavern as a simple tavern owned by an unnamed Lander but Chrys bought it afterward with help from his mysterious Lander co-owner and bankroller (Nancy), who attached a funeral parlor next to it for unknown reasons in June-July 2033 .

In Between a Rock and Dinner Date, the tavern and funeral parlor was staffed by a quiet bartender and a cheerful girl. However, after Chrys lost all his money in April 2033 , he was forced to sell the tavern, which his co-owner took over as sole owner and maître d'. Both staff have been replaced by Yoo-ara, an aspiring musical performer, who plays the role of server; "Strange" Al, who handles most of the cooking; and Noe, who handles most of the cleaning.

Chrys returned to the tavern in October 2033 but only as an investor, choosing instead to start his own mining company, Golden God Mining Co., with Ishmael and Gio, who were formerly part of the tavern's security.

Golden God Mining Co.

The Golden God Mining Co., also known as the Lyrwick Nuggets, is a mining company founded and owned by Chrys with Landers Ishmael and Gio in Lyrwick since October 2033 , having redirected most of his personal finances from Wicked's Rest Tavern and Funeral Parlor.

In December 2033 , the company's expedition to a mysterious mine of edible ores was a success, raising everyone's fortunes.

6 · Border Blessing

You are at the edge of the moonless night
The goddess look not your way
Yet, a small favor is within sight
For only the brightest stars deserve her gaze.

You must lack appeal this year,
But blessing this way near.

Your compass points toward Skytrees this year.

Carry a Ceremonial Dagger as a disaster ward.
Avoid the Gears (MIT) for misfortune.
