She surfaced with a cry, sticking an index finger into her mouth to numb the pain as her other held the offending lobster. The creature was banished to her UI much like all other catches, before she grabbed onto a Basseal and dove again.
The contest continued, and Jester made the effort to count up what the others were fishing up. It was still anyone's game, but so far Luthien was her main competitor. The moment a basseal became free, she stole it from somebody else with an apologetic grin, diving right back in to find the greatest treasure of all. Friendship and memories.

"The caribbean sounds like a wonderful trip. Maybe one day I'll squirrel enough cash away to visit there." The whole Diving and cruise experience was really relaxing. He would dive down once again with the seal and his partner, letting the water show him it's treasures.
As he would rise to tge surface he'd be clutching the illusive Saberfish, holding it out of the water for @Toko to see. "Man, check this out! Isnt this cool?"

As @Hanno Futaba and Steph tried to reassure him of Goldbeard's status as living, Schilva was suddenly busy reeling in what had to be a Meliodashi. "Hey, I caught something, I- AGH!"
Eagerly showing off, Schilva yanks a little too hard; the hook flies from the water, a single golden scale attached. Catching in his hair, the line spools around his body in a contrivedly perfect tangle.
"Uh, oops...?"
With that, Schilva is literally caught up in a distraction. Unknowingly, he stumbles through the basseal intermission, the massive Kraken's surfacing and the counter-plundering of the Sea Raider ship. He'd only managed to finish untangling himself from his own fishing line by the time the Petunia approached the newfound reef.
"What? We're not fishing for Meliodashi anymore? Man, what did I miss?"
Complaining to nobody in particular, Schilva reluctantly dons a set of snorkeling gear to explore the colourful waters.

"Hmmm? Oh yeah, that is a cool fish!"
There was a look of surprise as the Lepus gazed at the fish Brutus caught, placing away more pretty shells she had collected before holding onto the Basseal once more for another dive.
She had thought it was another lobster, only to be duped by the smooth stones. A low grumble escaped the blonde before she allowed the rocks to sink back into the bottom of the ocean, grabbing onto a Basseal as it was released by another before diving once more.
Her goal? To find the coolest and most unique thing out under the waves…
His next diving trip was slightly delayed as Jester took the Basseal he was about to use with an apologetic grin. As he waited for the next opportunity, he saw a shadow flitter underneath. When the next seal came around it was time to go and investigate...
The reef was a wonder, the very 'unique' sensation of a rainbow tentacle liking her too much, not so much, luckily a kind player released her from her predicament, where any movement caused it to wiggle higher and higher. She waved at the green-haired youth (@Hanno Futaba ) and smiled in thanks. Ilusa then opened her inventory and quickly grabbed another tentacle, this one alive and not yet attached to her and deposited it into the inventory.
And then she looked around, swimming leisurely and trying to find something shiny and precious to pad their haul.... But found only really cool looking rocks; they glimmered almost like gems, but were not ones. so pretty she put them in the inventory.t

Hyakin was not deterred. Swimming up to get air, he psyched himself up.
"Once more! I can do it!" And then took a deep breath and dove down, swimming down, lower and lower.
Of course, everything was still bright and even the deepest part was not that deep, reefs were like that.
Still, it was amazing. The water was warm, his body able, and the many amazing fishes were just that: amazing. And some were fast; Hyakin was less capable of the delicate and quick movements needed to catch the fishes. Oh, he was fast, but he lacked the finesse and the fishes were slippery..
Still he tried!
...And he caught something! A lobster that looked different from the earth one. He was not sure how needed it was so he just put it into his inventory before trying again.
After her last catch, Jester paused as she saw @Harper pushing herself for the sake of competition with people she barely even knew and couldn't help but to stop and flip her visor back up to meet the tigress with eyes sparkling with life. "Nice to meet you, by the way. Sorry that we pushed you so hard today. I'm Jester, and I once worked with the other two." She saw her opportunity for a basseal dive was immanent and started making her way over more calmly than the last time. She already won exactly as much as she wanted to.
As she mounted up, she flipped her visor back down and gave her new friend Harper a wave. "Don't be afraid to call me if there's something you want me to do~!"
one last ttime, Ariweyn will take a big gulp of air and grab her basseal, who she has affectionately named Poki, and dives below, aware of the time limit.

After a long day of fishing, clubbing, plundering, going nuclear, and snorkeling, the sun was finally setting, marking the end of the competition as the sea was getting too chilly for diving.
As agreed upon, Steph asked @Imoogi and @Askera Question to devise her a flare bomb and @Brutus Dahlgren or another person with Pyromancy to launch it as high as they could. It took no more than 30 seconds for you and your group to see a flare flying up from the far horizon. It had to be the pirates' reply.
Using the sporadic flares, the two ships navigated toward one another until they were side by side.
What have ye been doing the entire day? Ye ship STILL look a lil light, YARGHAHAHA!

When someone volunteered, Steph followed them to the pile, anxious about the result.
After the last rare fish had been accounted for, the counters announced the result. 103 for the pirates and 108 for the Petunia.
ASFDAKLA! I'M NOT GOING TO PRISON!
HHHRGH! Me eyes be trinkin' me, Matherson, COUNT AGAIN!
(He clubbed his subordinate with a dead Basseal.)
No matter how many times Matherson counted, the result was the same. The Petunia had won by a mere five rare fishes.
AAAAAAAARGH! Bloody stinking mermaid, you've won. A challenge is a challenge. What do ye want again?
Well, we would like to meet Goldbeard William!

When the one-legged pirate returned, an elderly pirate followed him up to the deck, slowly hopping onto the Petunia. He was stick-thin, with hair and beard as white as snow. It was a far cry from the Goldbeard of old, though his highly-decorative pirate attire said otherwise.
When he noticed the Marchioness up on the second deck, he flashed her a toothy smile. "Mari! It be a long time!"
The old woman opened her eyes for the first time since the trip began as she welled up with tears.

"Yarha! I've missed you too!" Goldbeard replied as he slowly made his way to the woman where he helped her up as they embraced. "Yarg, have I got a story for you…"
The two entered their own world.
A single tear came to Steph's eyes as she spun around and saluted you.
Thank you for embarking on this journey with me! To celebrate our victory and a happy ending for the Marchioness, let's have a fish party with the pirates and launch fireworks while we get back to land to celebrate the end of summer!!!

Steph stopped the pirate captain from rambling by shoving a plate of @Hanasakura Okami's sushi into his face. Although he was as red as a boiled lobster at first, the exotic cuisine astounded him.

For those who care, here's the proof of work for the pirate's rolls.
They had managed to win... barely, but even if it had been by one rare fish a win was still a win!
Toko had watched excitedly as the Marchioness had her wish fulfilled, the old woman and pirate soon lost to their own world, before Stephanie announced it was time to party. All that diving had certainly opened her apetite too, so naturally the Lepus directed herself to the kitchen area of the Imperial Petunia to help with the preparations of a feast.
"Yisus... your luck is really something else, @Jester!"
A groan had left the elf after they had all come back aboard the Petunia to compare their catches, and while they weren't done yet the ranger was pretty sure the other elf had everyone beat in their last contest for the day. As the results of the final rare fish count were revealed Lúthien had whooped loudly when it was revealed the Travelers had bested the pirates—she might have lost their own little mini contest, but they had all won where it most mattered.
As the sea turned shades of orange and red, people finally started getting out of the water and enjoying the rest of the free cruise. Charlotte, on her end, just watched as the flare was devised, wondering if she could potentially do the same with her pyromancy. It seemed pretty useful. But ultimately she just enjoyed the evening ride until they met with the pirates.
Once the count was finished, she was just as surprised as everyone. The Petunia won by mere 5 fish? But... that meant she only needed to catch those 5 to help the pirates win! She signed in disappointment and wadded off toward the ship's edge, sitting down by the water for a while. Seeing some people play around with the sea to give a bit of a show, she tried that as well, but didn't expect much.

A little while later, she noticed the pirates were a bit more free. The main one was a descendant of Goldbeard, so he must have been called that as well, right? She tried to approach him, albeit a bit timidly. (@Raid Boss)
"Excuse me, sir Goldbeard? I wanted to congratulate you on getting so much fish! I secretly added my own to your pile, but it wasn't enough, I'm sorry."
She felt rather awkward, maybe her efforts wouldn't even be appreciated. But even if that were the case, she still thought the pirates were really, really cool! Maybe she could join them? Or better yet... become a pirate captain herself! Maybe she could be the one challenging the Petunia next time.
By the time the competition was over, Chrys was more than ready to return to Stokbon. He already had his fair share of socialization and celebration, as much as he could survive given his current temperament. All that water got in his head through his nose, and truth be told, he was feeling a bit under the weather. Nevertheless, when the opportunity presented itself, Chrys took it upon himself to advertise his own tavern at Stokbon, the Wicked's Rest, without mentioning the part where it was attached to a funeral parlor of course. Hopefully, @Moonsong does not snitch.
Chrys joined the others in the kitchen, wearing a chef's apron with an emblazoned logo and text of his tavern, the Wicked's Rest. Why he had it with him was not surprising. When he heard about the fishing thing from Steph, minus the pirates and the old lady, he immediately decided to take the opportunity to be the one to cook the fish they'd caught for his friends ( @Ayna Nietzsche@Kamala Graham@Samantha Yurei ) and it was the only chef's apron he had. Although Chrys was not a professional chef in the other world, he had clients that were and had learned from them some very delicious recipes. Today, or more precisely tonight, he wanted to serve it to friends both old and new to help them ease up and celebrate a well-fought adventure and a well-earned victory.
His menu? The roujiamo, a meat sandwich originating in the Shaanxi cuisine, and a slow-cooked bamboo shoot soup.
The sandwich should have perfectly soft and waxy pastry, in between which should be a large hunk of minced meat. The meat's consistency should be similar to the pastry that had should have some sweetness to it due to the baking process. When the sandwich is squeezed, honey-like meat juices should ooze out and some of the minced meat should also spill out due to how much there is. There should be no taste of meat grease whatsoever.
As for the soup, Chrys intended to stew it for a good long while. Or at least until dinner time came. The bamboo shoots should be the densest he could find. He would dice the meat, which would be fresh pork belly, and ham, which would be from the butt end, into smaller pieces, with the soup kept on low heat until it became milky white. This slow and gentle process, with the utmost care and technique, should bring out the distinct flavors of both kinds of meat, making it a very tasty soup.
Unfortunately, however, Chrys has never cooked aboard a moving ship before, so all that may not end up as perfectly as he had envisioned it all in his head.
Having caught more than ten percent of the rare fish that closed the gap in the overarching competition, Jester had herself a celebration in the form of a luau in order to slowly come to relax while riding the high of winning not one, but three competitions this evening. She sipped at some sort of fruity drink she both couldn't identify and didn't care to, then went back to her exotic dancing.
"You know, this has been a lot of fun! I almost wish we could do it again tomorrow all over again~!" She blinked a couple times while glancing up as she quickly recalled some amount of memories to her head, then continued to dance with her eyes closed.
"When I was little, my parents took me on a vacation to Hawaii. This kind of reminds me of back then..." Without meaning to rhyme, she still did, almost like it was some sort of curse at this point.
"So before it's over, does anyone want to learn to do this? The more the merrier!"
Cracking his knuckles, the giant would stretch his arms and crack his knuckles. This called for a celebration, and the whole flare thing had given him an idea. Charging up his pyromancy, he would spend the time whilst everyone else was cooking or relaxing, doing his best to put on a show.

The fishing was a success, and Ronja was honestly proud of her harpoon rifle, even if she didn't win a single round.
"Ronja will get you guys next time. But for now, we will celebrate!" Ronja beamed, raising her fingers up to the sky, allowing her magitech cannons to trigger alchemical reactions, booming once, twice, thrice!

Her fireworks danced along with the other fireworks and reflecting on the waters of @Luthien's beautiful waterworks. Adding to the composition before she turned to @Jester.
"Is that so? Teach Ronja then, m'lady!" Ronja giggled, beckoning to @Harper and @Cidney Cometfall.
"Come on, you too!" She called before joining Jester in her antics.
