Hyakin was super ultra excited. After the duty of helping raiders be alive and locking them up along with other players, it was time for snorkelling.

He never snorkelled in his life. He was absolutely ecstatic that he got a chance to visit what was crealy a coral reef; an actual honest to gods coral reef that he could swim around. It was perfection.

He dove right in and… Forgot to actually catch the fishes, so taken aback by the beauty of the underwater he was.

[Cynna]

Oh hey, new recruits.

Tossing a handful of soul gems at the Kraken, Cynna attempted to add to her poppet collection. Then, clapping her hands once more she produced more poppets and tossed them by hand after the gems.

She didn't toss one however and as it looked about confused, she grappled it like the plushie it was and dove into the water.

"Brlargaglrgl?"

"You're doing great keep it up."

Drifting away, Cynna made her escape. Eventually, the rest of her squad returned gasping. As a reward she sent them deep diving for shinnies while she watched with her face in the water by way of a borrowed snorkel.

First a Rainbow Tentacle, then a Rock Lobster. Could Jester truly walk away the winner of not one, but two contests in one day? It would make the hours of relaxation afterwards so much sweeter. Besides, she couldn't let the others best 'er, for she was the one and only Jester!

She was delighted to see Cidney join them for the contest this time around, the elf unwrapping a rainbow tentacle from her arm before banishing it to the UI realm of her inventory. That at least had been a better find than the pretty coral from before, but if Lúthien wanted to win she’d need to find something ultra mega rare to do so…

"Alright buddy, it’s our turn… let’s dive super deep and find something that blows everyone else away, ¿sí?"

The blonde cooed at the Basseal, a hand reaching to give its crutches under the chin, before she grabbed on tight as the sea creature took the hint and dove farther than before…

[Hanno Futaba]

Hanno's face only grew even redder looking at the girls, the first one (@Cynna) who made him a victim, and then pitied him enough to borrow him a shirt.

"Th-Thanks, buddy..." He said, being quick to tie the shirt around his bottom, but still keeping the tentacles of Ghast helping to keep things hidden. "There we go, there we go, it isn't pants but it is something, right?" Hanno protested to @Ariweyn Laundale, laughing awkwardly before simply deciding to move on to the next step.

With the help of a basseal, Hanno tried to dive into the reef, trying to find anything useful for the group.

Diving into the reef, Hanno soon found himself near rainbow tentacles, raising his eyebrow in curiosity and soon seeing a beastfolk (@Ilusa Nakhalee) with her leg stuck on one. Swimming near it, Hanno waved at her, pointing at the tentacle and mouthing a 'hang in there' before getting rid of the tentacle.

As a bonus, he found a Diamond Mantis Shrimp, what a pleasing surprise!

"That sounds gorgeous Bun. I'd love to visit sometime" The giant would quip, bags halfway packed for a soonish trip to japan to visit not @Toko but instead Nao. His heart would flutter at the notion, nervous already. Diving back down with her, he would hold on to the seal until they hit the bottom before pulling away and swimming around looking for cool Fish.

Instead he found some fucking rad shells. These could look gorgeous on a necklace or could make a cool souvenir. Something to remember this trip by.

[Ronja Bubblyfoot]

With all her diving magitech gear ready (and after missing out on most of the change of events because she was more focused on fishing than anything else), Ronja got herself darting off with a small propeller that helped her to move around underwater.

She looked around, seeing her friends and smirking at them. The competition was nearly done and she didn't win any round, but she could hope to get lucky this time!

Following the Basseal, things got a bit easier, but she remained focused most of the time, not going for the violent harpoon for this hunt, something that proved to be unnecessary anyway, since instead of grabbing a fish, she simply had a tentacle stuck on her head.

[Crimson Ruby]

Getting to the surface, Ruby glanced at @Tenshi after listening to her grateful words, offering a nod and a very faint smile before looking around for @Fina Drago.

With the Kraken gone, the girl wanted to find the other and see if she was fine, something that didn't take too long. As soon as she spotted the silver haired, Ruby waved, approaching her while trying to get some fishes on the way.

Instead of fishes, Ruby found some pretty sea shells that were honestly rather endearing. She then focused on approaching the fellow beastfolk, holding a sea shell close to her chest and offering the girl the other half of the sea shell, swaying her tail.

"Ow ow ow ow OW!"

Of course, the catch she gets was the one very keen on fighting back. Just the type of luck Harper was having today. Still, after one precise hand squeeze, she managed to pin the shrimp's claws to its body, as the tiger girl nonchalantly threw the poor thing straight from the sea to the deck up above, trying to have it land at least nearby her bucket. No guarantees though, and she could only hope someone didn't get hurt.

Her newest catch stored, the tigress would get back to snorkeling. She noticed that @Jester and @Luthien were having good luck with their catches and that @Ronja Bubblyfoot was getting back into her groove. If she didn't give her all, the beastkin would certainly have no chance of ending up on top of their competition.

So, she would fish. Fish until her hands could fish no more, and her lungs burned up. Well, maybe not to that extreme, but the competitive sentiment was definitely there.

Shrimping.

Ayna doesn't even pay attention to her friends now. The sea has always been like a home to her, all that quiet and bliss, and in the deep, with a basseal as her only companion, she found herself very much at peace. Also, treasure. Ayna loves treasure. She grinned from ear to ear, excited at taking back to the surface more shit than she could actually keep.

What the fuck is this shrimp? The damned thing was trying to punch her, and it didn't seem like it was pulling back any, well, punches. Thankfully, Ayna was too fast, and even in the depths of the sea, with one hand on the basseal that was clearly not into all the movement, she was easily a hard target for a shrimp to land a punch on. Ayna tried to punch back but the water was making it difficult for her to land her punches, too, so she tried kicking at it instead but to no avail. She thought about just electrocuting the damned thing, but the basseal didn't deserve to be caught in the crossfire.

Fortunately for her, she managed to knock it unconscious with a wild knee and she immediately grabbed it and went back, not wanting to get sucker-punched while still in the water should it suddenly wake up. I like this one.

With their time for fishing growing short, Charlotte decided she had picked just about enough. Some of it was definitely not gonna help win the competition, but she got more than she expected. The Basseals helped a lot, too. She made sure to pet as many of them as she could on the way up as a thanks.

Carefully climbing up on the Petunia, she let out a sigh as she looked around. Everyone was having fun together, it made her feel a tiny bit lonely. Shame @Delice Sergia wasn't here as well, but they went in opposite directions when they split up.

Ah well, she would probably approach someone later. For now, though, she had to take note of everything she got and devise a plan of getting it all to the pirates.

Damn, I missed four pages?!

Chrys groaned as he reluctantly followed after his friends (@Ayna Nietzsche @Kamala Graham and @Samantha Yurei), not wanting to be the odd one out. Unlike them, however, he courteously asked to borrow a basseal from another recently returned adventurer-diver before jumping into the water's depths, knowing the value of being more gracious and less instinctive in this field of work. It often separated success from failure, or maybe Chrys was just thinking out of his butt right now. Whatever the case was, he needed to get in on this loot action.

Leave it up to Uncle Chrys to get a golden fish from sheer dumb luck. Fuiyoh!

It felt good to be in the sea again. Askera hadn't been at the beach since he had been young. Even though he traveled quite frequently, it was always to somewhere land-locked. The most he'd seen of the ocean on usual days was from the window of a plane.

For just a while longer, he would enjoy himself.

As Sai surfaced with his basseal, he noticed @Tenshi nearby, holding a giant tentacle thing that glimmered in the sun. He glanced at what at the time he’d thought was a hermit crab, only to realize it was literally just an empty seashell now that his eyes weren’t as misty with water.

"Uhh… gimmie a minute! I’m tracking something good, just gotta, ya know… snatch it!" He dove again.

Noting @Ronja Bubblyfoot 's impressive snorkeling gear, the thought came across Cidney that maybe an attempt at creating equipment for diving would be fun. That was days away, however, for today was one of exploration and fish.

Now she was collecting coral. What if she would be able to make coral armor of some kind?

[Haru]

Haru had fallen half-asleep a good time ago. The kraken and his dissonant corruption had exchanged contact information, all the while he'd been floating around aimlessly on the sea. It was quite hard to tell if his eyes were closed under his wicked cool sunglasses, but he certainly looked as relaxed as could be.

Whether there was a fish that just so happened to be resting in his lap or not was something to be answered by the opportunistic, those out to seek another fish by any means.

Tenshi snickered at Sai's lifeless shell. "Yeah? That'll definitely show the pirates what for!" As she got a bit more of a laugh out of it, the tentacle in her grasp smacked her in the face. At the very least, she had time to recover as she let someone else go diving with her basseal, but she had to wait so long for another one. At this rate, Sai might actually find something good! She can't let him just win all of a sudden after doing none of the work!
