Coloured her surprised, an educated guess that actually got her somewhere with Ronja's admittance, yet the lack of elaboration just made her all the more curious, ready to poke into it further, cut off by a laughter that made her roll her eyes.

"Yeah you wouldn't, couse you would personally kick my ass if I made you angry. Wouldn't even complain." Atleast that would mean she gets to see her stand up... And kick her ass, sure, but that wasn't the important part. Her mind didn't agree though as imagination took it's own course and left her giggling and wheezing to herself for a second, three fingers hovering over her lips to try and keep it down.

This fuzzy, electrifying feeling that came with that statement. Disapproving but all the same cute to hear it out from Ronja, put her at odds between that last feeling and her personal view on the matter. At least there's one thing they agreed on in that- "Yeah, It is." A sigh broke through, left hand scratching at the back of her head for a short lapse.

"... My prince."

These words caught her skipping a beat, and if their positions were switched, oh boy, would that medical equipment be working overtime. She could hear the rhythm right against her ears, now reddened. For as sly as she liked to play, Ronja countered back with innocence that Nico had no way to respond to, eyes breaking eye contact to glance down at the hand between her grasp, her caresses amped up in speed and giving away her feelings, if the constant attempt to meet gazes once again only to break it isn't enough.

"A-eh Ronja!" A higher pitch on her voice broke next into a smile, the following thought almost missing it's mark until all these ideas clicked yet again. "You said they- Your family I mean, runs a good business. Lemme guess... Food industry? VR?" These were big on their own, but she's just dropping blind shots now and hoping one nails. And to see if Ronja would play along with it.

Ronja laughed along with Nico, shaking her head in disapproval and tilting her head. "You are giving too much faith in the strength of my legs if you think I can manage a kick." She said, good humoured and snickering as she tapped her thigh twice with her free hand for emphasis.

"But I suppose when you tell me that. It explains a lot about what sort of thing you like. I will take note of that." Ronja teased with a faint yet playful smile.

Nico's reaction to Ronja's small slip made the girl even more embarrassed, clearing her throat as she glanced away, even if her lips betrayed her with a quivering smile that yelled 'I did it!'

The question then caught her by surprised, and she glanced at Nico, shaking her fingers negatively. "Nuh-uh- No, not that, but I would love if we were from the Food Industry, I do like food, a lot." Ronja sing sang, pausing for a moment. She knew the bitter feelings many had regarding that industry, so there was an hesitation before she spoke-

"It is Pharmacy. But well, in Germany, not here." She said, almost as an immediate excuse.

"You kidding? You don't look a day over twenty years old. You just need some yoga sessions, just hit me up on a video call and we can do 'em together. Just look at this-" Nico pointed back at herself, lifting her hoodie and shirt just enough to show her scarred midriff, which was unsurprisingly average given her thin shape, yet the pinkette clasped a hand on what believed to be a pot belly, despite being quite the opposite. "I'm FAT. I gotta burn some calories."

"But I suppose when you tell me that. It explains a lot about what sort of thing you like. I will take note of that."

"R-Ronja!"
Bashful, a warm breath escaped from her lips as she glanced about to see if anyone passed by. None other than maybe a doctor or nurse every now and then, but no one at ear's reach at least. It wasn't just being labelled like some kind of pervert, but how she was given a taste of her own medicine, as the one teased right now. "We a-are in a hospital you degen." Her voice fell to mumbles, punishing the sickly girl with a few pokes against her left thigh, yet her scolding look blended with an unrestrained smile that made the act all more playful.

When corrected, two things were learned: One. Ronja had a passion for food, and the mere mention of it had her planning things already, future thoughts she would have to polish with given time, and there is one person or two she can think of that could help her.

Two...

"Germany?! That's real far away. But hey, that's also good, I have this german show I was watching on Recflix. Need subtitles all the time, bet you could help me though. Would be a good way to pass time." And in usual Nico pushy manner, the pinkette grabbed her laptop and wiggled closer to Ronja...

Two weeks later...

She had packed everything on the guest room, trying to leave the bed tended as neatly as possible. The whole place felt like an antique, one she barely spent any time on except for their last day. And despite the comforts of a bed as opposed to that of a plastic chair.

The solitude made it a terrible experience, like a second-hand option compared to that little room full of machines and the one woman she would lean against from the edge of her seat.

Nico would never know if Lena liked her or it's simply following Ronja's wishes whenever they shared some chit chat, or asked for the 13th time which knob opens the cold and hot water in the shower after freezing her ass the first time.

But before heading to the airport she paid her one last visit at the hospital. They still didn't let her off the hook, but it wouldn't be long. Her one and only regret had to be the lack of time, but she couldn't abuse of the hospitality from both Ari and Ronja. This is the best she could do, and it felt so unfair, a childish sentiment she buried deep down once she crossed the familiar door and gave one last glance to the room, then set eyes with the lady over the bed.

It's as if they spent an eternity in this room... Is that how it felt to be bed-ridden? Time went so slow, but these memories they made were all the more precious. She hoped her hoodie missing wouldn't go noticed, the one that's been with them without a fault.

Nico smiled to herself, knowing it would be quite the surprise once she finds it in her bedroom. If they were to never see eachother again, then at least there would be something left for Ronja to remember.

The time to leave was met with optimism that they would meet eachother again, but just in case, Nico made sure their last kiss of the week would be the longest. A bit overextended, yet her own heart didn't want to stop, and it took a pull from her own thoughts to get her to snap out of it.

It's not a good bye. We still have Terrasphere. These thoughts comforted her while she promised to send a message, to let them know when she lands safe and sound back at Philly.

Nico rolled her eyes, giving Ronja one smooch on her forehead before pulling back, their fingers gracing eachother for one last moment as she started to head over the door, but not without one last-

"I love you."

It was ironic for Ronja. To think one of the happiest moments in her recent years would be exactly in the state that frustrated her the most- Being bound to a bed in a hospital. At least in the usual occasion, she was at home with access to her VR Device and her hobbies.

Here, she usually had nothing... But today was different.

She had Fiora. She had Nico. And for her joy, she was just as wonderful in the real world as she was in game.

Ronja treasured every second, and surprisingly, Ronja was very much at peace when the last day they would share during that two weeks long dream. She was used to not take anything for granted, despire being from a wealth family.

She embraced and returned the kiss in a lingering passion, and when it was truly time to leave, with the promise of meeting again in Terrasphere, she returned her words:

"I love you too, Nico." She said, with all her feelings brimming in her voice and tone.

... It wouldn't take long for Ronja to be released after that day. And after enough exams and approvals, the girl could finally come home.

"You are oddly happy this time. Usually it is hard to cheer you up, Ms. Riemenschneider."

Lena's reminder only made her faint smile grow wider as she glanced outside the window.

"Yeah..."

Getting home, she could lay on bed, resting her head on her pillow as she gently rested her device that covered her eyes.

"... It is easier when you have a reason to smile."
