"Oh yeah, this one was definitely a menace."

Stomping on the head of the humanoid machinery, it broke into pieces as the Steel Reaver claimed victory after minutes of intense battle in the outskirts of Vintergard. Lune looked at her own left arm on the ground while breathing heavily, before bending down and picking it up.

If she was to extend the fight for another five minutes, the thing would've copied her fighting style. Whether it could download new upgrades like DEAD.NAUGHT did or not, Lune did not want to find out. It's a pain in the ass enough that the robot could somehow regenerate using Marvel movie nanotech bullshit or whatever it was.

It's weird how after Szofrit was already defeated, there was this kind of magia remnant that was still able to improve itself on the fly. A prototype that wasn't unleashed during the decisive battle? Maybe. Is this the last of them? Unlikely.

Not only that, it eerily looked like a human, too, if not only for the metallic texture of its synthetic skin. The thought of making units that were meant to walk among people made her shiver.

Thankfully, it's over. Imagine if a silver, gold-ranked adventurer were to encounter this monstrosity, that would be a really bad situation. Especially the lack of reports of this thing was concerning to her. Maybe she should go to HQ and report the findings.

"Time to go back, for now." Slowly, she brought the disembodied arm to where it was, trying to reattach it. Liquidy, metallic substance ran on her upper arm, enveloping the cut arm and joining it back to her body as if it was never cut. The metallic layer stayed on the left arm after the process, however, to help regenerate the function of the not-yet-fully-healed limb.

There's a slight irony in her healing using the thing that makes up the majority of those cursed things.
