The duo barged into the Honeyhome hamlet, something that was known after the couple signs that welcomed them, along with the cheerful sounds of children playing, the soft smell of flowers and honeyed bakeries that certainly made Valkryja's stomach grumble just as loudly as her mouth was.

A few townsfolk looked at the duo with warm expressions, murmuring greetings and going back to their business. In general, an expected introduction to a 'beginner's town', with the exception that there were no NPCs with huge question marks above them, brimming and pleading for them to meddle in it and try to snatch some interaction out of them, followed by a huge lore dump that usually came with these games.

Well, it wasn't like Terrasphere was a normal game anyway.

"HAH-!" Valkryja broke the silence as soon as they got into some sort of central area, turning toward Aerial and smirking. "We have plenty of options in here, HELL everything smells so damn good-- The pastries from that bakery, the food from that tavern! I want to have all of it and slip into a bed or another adventure as soon as possible!" She beamed, before frowning. "But I just realized... We are kinda broke, and that maybe we should've eaten that alpha wolf." She crossed her arms.

"We do need some money..." Valkryja muttered, tapping her feet.

Ugh. Valkyrja's statement reflected her internal thoughts: everything did smell good. Well, maybe not that sewer vent they passed. But, besides that, everything threatened to drown her mouth in saliva. "We could always steal a few wallets." Her joke earned the ire (and fear) of a few NPCs who had been idling nearby.

"I wonder if we should've skinned the wolves for their pelts. It feels like wolf pelts are always sellable in games." Which made sense given how common enemy wolves were. Did a game exist that didn't include the vicious canids?

She frowned, "We need to think of something. This smell is driving me absolutely insaaane."

"WAH HAH HAH!" Valkryja laughed vigorously at Aerial's joke, clasping a hand on her back and shaking her head in dire disapproval. No no!

"Stealing wallets? I tell you, we should NEVER. EVER. Steal." Valkryja exclaimed loud enough for every NPC and player to hear, tugging her new friend closely so she could whisper. "There is no honor among thieves, though-" She smirked. "Newbie town? Sure there is a thief 'round here. We can give them a big arse kicking, steal everything they stole, keep to ourselves, turn them in for extra rewards, and come out as heroes of the town." Valkryja whispered, gently letting go of her friend.

"WHICH MEANS--" Valkryja rested a hand on her chest. "We, as VERY CLEAN, UNSUSPICIOUS, and HEROIC fellows, will instead be momentary vigilantes, for the SAFETY of this lovely town, filled with LOVELIEST people, so we can then claim rewards LEGALLY and then drink until overnight and share a VERY GOOD TOP TIER ROOM AT THE MOST EXPENSIVE INN!" She nodded firmly, gesturing at the closest board she could find...

Aerial jumped in surprise at the loud eruption of sound. Blue eyes stared, unblinking, in a mixture of embarrassment and amusement as the giant lady roared about how they'd never steal: a bellow so loud that non-playable characters heard and ducked into nearby buildings. The companion's assurance that they'd never steal had the opposite effect on the townsfolk. Honestly, Aerial couldn't blame them.

"Riiight. If anyone's still around after that display." she whispered back. Strange occurrences like this must have been normal to the villagers, though, because it didn't take long for them to return to their daily duties. Well, until Valkyrja blurted out a chain of suspicious words.

She tugged at the other woman, "Shh. There are a few folks with pitchforks that look like they're ready to fork us up." Literally. "We should probably be more subtle... see if there are any quests or thieves around town."

Being shushed by Aerial, Valkryja halted her vigorous exclamations, somewhat curling closer to Aerial while side glancing at the townsfolk that were rather surprised by her sudden outburst of horribly worded screams.

"These townsfolk really need to get some backbone-" She muttered, clearing her throat. "BUT-" Valkryja rose her posture once again. "You are right, we can't just be here being all talk and no action. So, to the nearest board, and very far away from the pitchforks, for sure." She stomped her path forward, leading her friend to a big board that was planted in front of a tavern.

The self-explanatory sign that hanged on its top showed that was exactly what they were looking for--

"Let's see!" Valkryja rubbed her chin, leaning in as she read every detail of every quest, nodding quietly. "Some bounty due to some stupid pig-faced orc wandering around, a guy that is apparently a player killer, and some rat hunting, and then herb gathering..." Valkryja tapped her feet, leaning away and looking at Aerial, this time letting her choose whatever she wished.
