"Ngh... I can't tell. I'm too far to see anything from here." The rather quiet voice of a girl on local comms responded to her query. After a moments' time, anyone could connect the unfamiliar voice to the unfamiliar face of God Breaker.

She was further in the valley now, sitting atop a pile of birds. She had crashed and lashed together so many of them that she could no longer see a bird in nearby sight. God Breaker was thankful for that much-all of this physical activity was tiring.

Collapsing onto the feather bed, her eyes closed as she muttered, "Maybe it has to do with the spinning clouds..?"

It was a statement made by a tired girl who wasn't seeing the sky clearly. Even so, just one glance could find merit in what she had prosed. High above the bridge, the dark roil of clouds spinned like a vortex in a bathtub drain... only, this drain went further up into the sky, and things were coming out of it. Many birds, to be exact. They had found their source.

Looking up, Regan noticed the cloud funnel that the small Magia had mentioned.

"So that's it?"

Turning, Regan shouted to her companions.

"IT'S THAT THING UP THERE! THAT'S WHERE THEY'RE COMING FROM! HAHAHA, I'M GOING TO GO BRING WHATEVER THE HELL THAT IS DOWN TO PLAY!"

Flying upwards slicing and cutting everything in her way as she went, Regan stopped just shy of the vortex. Testing the winds with her hand, Regan could feel that whatever was inside this vortex was strong.

"LOOKS LIKE THERE'S ONLY ONE THING TO DO!"

Flying backward, Regan readied herself. Grabbing her sword she held it in a high stance above her head, then flew with all of her might towards the vortex.

"I JUST HAVE TO BREAK THROUGH!"

Charging into the swirling winds, Regan was battered by the winds sucking her up into the vortex. Attempting to keep her bearings straight, Regan continued to push forward and keep stable even as the winds spun her.

"I JUST HAVE TO MAKE IT TO THE MIDDLE! THE BASTARD HAS TO BE IN THE MIDDLE!"

Forcing her way forward with each flap of her wing, Regan finally penetrated the wall of crushing wind.

"JUST A LITTLE MORE!"

First her hand, then her arm, then her torso, and finally she was through. It was a majestic sight to see the winds swarm around the calm eye of the typhoon. Looking down, Regan smiled.

"So there you are..."

In the middle of the eye was a massive creature bird-like with four sets of wings, a great beak, and covered in pure white feathers. From the size of it, the creature almost looked like a massive snow drift floating in the air.

"SO YOU'RE THE LEADER, HUH? HAHAHA IT'S YOUR FAULT I'VE BEEN HAVING SO MUCH FUN TODAY? WELL DON'T GET ME WRONG IT'S BEEN A BLAST MASSACRING YOU'RE LITTLE FOLLOWERS, BUT I SEE A REAL HUNT RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!"

Charging at the creature, Regan swung her blade and cut deep. Still, the size of the monster was massive, and attacks like the kind Regan was creating would probably go mostly unnoticed.

I have to get this thing out of the sky... the wings.

"HAHAHA, THAT WAS A TEST CUT! DON'T WORRY I'M ABOUT TO BRING YOU A LOT MORE PAIN! HOW ABOUT WE SEE HOW WELL YOU HANDLE ON LAND!"

Flying quickly, Regan began to move from wing to wing slashing each as brutally as possible. With each cut, the monster cried out, apparently, Regan's plan was working. Knowing that repeated attacks on its wings would send it hurtling down, The creature began to descend.

"YOU THINK I'M GOING TO LET YOU LAND GENTLY! HAHAHA TRY AGAIN! I'M GOING TO SEND YOU CRASHING DOWN!"

Hurrying, Regan continued attacking each of the wings until finally one of her strikes cut deep enough to make a real impression. Blood spurted from the wound and the monster began to topple.

DOWN YOU GO!

With another strike to another wing, the monster roared as fell towards the bridge. Seeing Regan, the monster swung one of its damaged but still whole wings at the woman. The blow struck hard and Regan coughed up blood as the force of the strike sent her sailing towards a rock face.

Still, the woman had accomplished what she had wanted to do and in mere moments, the monster that had been controlling the others would be crash landing on the bridge. Hopefully, the bridge was built strong enough to survive the impact.

A thumbs up was given to the youngest of their lot, a sign of approval at her keen senses. He had to admit, the mindless meat grinder had taken a bit of a toll on his patience. The sooner this came to a conclusion, the better. Like all things in life though, this wouldn't be easy.

"Hold on! Doesn't that seem a bit dang—"

The lepis' concerns were dismissed as if nothing but air, flowing in one ear and out the other. It wasn't as if he had expected otherwise, but a budding sense of frustration grew within him as he watched the blonde woman's recklessness result in cumulative injuries. Ru had to admit though, her efforts yielded results, great results in this case as she quickly smoked out the leader of these flying monstrosities.

"Well… if it works, it works I suppose…"

Not one to leave her on the receiving end of a poor trade, magic began to surge once more, rotating through the beads resting snugly about his wrist before channeling to take material form. An eerie blue light began to rise from the pile of corpses accumulated by @God Breaker Master X , their spirits being torn from the recently created carcasses. With a wave of his hand and a gentle puff of air from his lips, their wills scattered, dissolving into a powdery dust that enveloped the injured vampire (@Regan ), latching onto her wounds like fireflies drawn to the light. Her wounds would close up rather quickly, as if giving form to new flesh within a matter of seconds.

"Alright! Back to the fight… not that a few scratches would've stopped you anyway…"

"HERE IT COMES!"

Ayna grinned menacingly as the falling mother of all monsters lined up in her sights. Charging Calamity's Light, she made a brushing motion with her foot towards the back of where she stood, the rest of her body facing her quarry. As lightning coursed through her very veins, the Beastfolk lost herself in them, becoming one with the element.

She then took a step forward, launching herself towards the monster monarch before entering a frenzied state whereafter she unleashed a barrage of lightning-charged stabs all over the monster's body. For a moment or two, the creature stopped falling. Instead, it just floated in mid-air as blinding light began surrounding it sporadically. First, to its right. Then, to its left. Until it resembled an ornament wrapped by a thousand blinking Christmas lights.

"HAPPY HOLIDAYS, MA'AM!"

❰ Supreme Body: Dogma of Fantasy ❱

As her barrage ended, the lightning within Ayna fizzled and dissipated into nothingness. She made another jump and aimed her freefall to a much safer spot, far from where the Kentucky fried monster should finally make its impact. Unless, of course, someone else wanted to add to its suffering further. Ayna wouldn't mind. It probably deserved it anyway.

"YOU GUYS ALL RIGHT?!"

There was no response from the younger ally's end. There seemed to be no movement atop the hill of birds that she had created near the villageside. It was just enough of a non-response to be worrying.

Upon further investigation now that the three were done with their conquest of the skies, they had found the reason why the girl had yet to respond-she was asleep, taking a powernap atop of the feathered bodies. According to the investigative modes of the UI, she had run out of magical power-something that directly correlated to a Magia's sleep and sustenance bars.

In other words, she'd gone and tuckered herself out.

It was probably best to not disturb her any further. She had already done enough by saving the villagers' lives. God Breaker would be having her rest today whether she liked it or not, and she would rest for a long while today.

She'd earned it.

Feeling the healing magic flow through her, Regan pulled herself up grinning.

"HAHAHAHA! EAT SHIT YOU DAMN CHICKEN! HAHAHA!"

Seeing that her attempt to bring the creature out of the sky had worked, Regan smiled with glee. Rushing up to the now dead creature, Regan trudged up to the corpse giving it a few kicks for good measure.

"THAT'S! RIGHT! WELCOME TO EARTH BASTARD! HOW DOES THE DIRT TASTE! YOU LIKE THAT?! HAHAHA!"

Having added insult to the monster's injury, Regan turned to the others.

"HAH! NOT BAD. AND HERE I THOUGHT YOU ALL WOULD BE WORTHLESS. WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THE LOT OF YOU WOULD HAVE SOME FIGHT! HAHAHA! COLOR ME PLEASANTLY SURPRISED! WHEN THAT THING KNOCKED ME INTO THE ROCKS I THOUGHT FOR SURE I'D BREAK AN ARM OR SOMETHING, BUT LOOK!"

Regan showed herself off having only small cuts and bruises.

"NO WORSE FOR WEAR! HAHA! MY NAME'S REGAN BY THE WAY. VAMPIRE SWORDSWOMAN AND FUTURE VAMPIRE QUEEN! HAHAHAHA! HONESTLY, I'D ALREADY BE VAMPIRE QUEEN BUT I HEARD THERE WAS ANOTHER ONE. I'LL HAVE TO KILL HER AND EAT HER TO BECOME VAMPIRE QUEEN. BUT THAT'S IN THE FUTURE I GUESS."

Looking around, Regan noticed that one person was missing.

"HEY, WHERE'S THE LITTLE ONE!"

Looking around, and searching the area, Regan finally noticed the sleeping Magi atop a pile of corpses.

"That won't do. She'll catch cold."

Flying to God Breaker Master X, Regan would carefully throw her over her shoulder to not wake her.

"There we go."

Flying back to the group, Regan landed.

"So, who the hell are the two of you? Just traveling around?"

Regan kept her voice down as to not wake God Breaker Master X.

"Oh ho? That's a new trick for you, isn't it?"

A low pitched whistle sounded from the lepis' lips as he nodded with approval at their handiwork. Between the pile of corpses and the final, dazzling moments of the gargantuan, it was safe to say that the safety of the nearby villages was secured. His fascination with Ayna's grand display would subside however as reality sank in. Realizing the impact about to occur, he'd quickly form a series of barriers spanning the length of the road to protect any daring bystanders. Shock waves successfully mitigated, he'd let out a smirk while meeting up with the others.

"Hmm... do magia get colds? Trist seemed pretty immune to everything, minus the random fits of rage."

Unsure how to answer the blonde vampire, he'd scratch his head while tilting it in contemplation. It wasn't as though his purpose here was some grand secret. The gaunt man simply found the way she asked a bit off putting, in a fashion as if begging to be teased.

"Oh, just a rabbit out on a hot date... with a cartography map, you?"

A light peal of laughter sounded across the now uncannily silent field as Ru waved his hand dismissively.

"Seriously though, you weren't actually waiting here all day for these... were you?"

Introductions are in order!

"Not an old dog yet!"

Ayna grinned at Ru's comment after heaving a sigh of relief when he did his thing and kept the collateral to a minimum. Turning towards the little one, who was now on the loud woman's shoulder, she simply raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms. Truth be told, Ayna had been focused too much on the battles that she had failed to realize they were Magia. Upon closer inspection, well, as close as she could from where she stood, she let her memories of Tris guide her response. That means she had no idea about the matter.

"No clue. Don't know much about them, though. "

She then extended a hand towards the, uhh, vampire woman, liking the way she looked more than the way she sounded. Ayna continued wearing the same grin, not at all interested in the piles of corpses around them. It's just a game, right? These lives don't matter. Yes, they don't.

"Name's Ayna Nietzsche. I usually just operate in Lyrwick but I heard about this incursion from a bandit I broke down, so I just had to check it out. What about you?"
