"I've been told this worlds map is similar to that of our actual world. We're somewhere in the northeast of america." He would raise an eyebrow and listen to her words. "A holy grail would be...nice but at the same time destroying such a work of art would feel borderline criminal. I would like to see it if nothing else."

He would take a couple steps forward, scanning around. "I would recommend looking for the hardest ingredients first. Chances are we will discover the other ones on the way. I would recommend probably looking to pick that fight with the werewolf first. If it's going to be a rough fight, I would rather do it while we're fresh. The other ones seem like they would be easy accomplishments."

He would crack his knuckles and begin to stretch his arms and legs, getting ready to throw down at any point. "As for working together, I am entrusting myself in your care. You are the experienced one, I will defer to your expertise."

lion's pride...

A stray branch from a tree was unforeseen by a certain lioness, which was odd, given her insane and inhuman five senses. Her attention was fully on Alex, the way he spoke was formal, but not too formal. She had to give it to him, he was pretty charismatic. Though he looked a little too much like Brutus, she might accidentally imagine his [censored] on Alex's body. Shaking the thought from her head, she would reply to the human carrot head. "I think your plan sounds like a good one. We'll go with that."

The branch grew closer as they walked... "So now is a good of a time as any, I'll use my harmonics magic up there-" She pointed with a finger before turning her gaze back to the man. "And try and get a mental picture of the land with the sounds and vibrations. That will help us pinpoint the werewolf."

......................... THUMP! The branch implanted itself in the side of Ilya's head. Which in turn, caused her to stumble backwards, flailing and flipping about as she landed on her back. The breath knocked out of her as she stared at the sky showing slightly through the leaves.

Alexander would pause, looking back to the woman as she staggered back onto her ass. He hadn't whipped that branch back, so he had no earthly idea how that comedic event had happened. His eyes would narrow, he would stop mid step, turning to pivot back to the singer woman.

"Are you okay?" He would ask, his eyes narrowing at the horny clutz.

Kneeling, he would offer he a hand up to lift her up off the dirt, cupping her chin as he gently turned her head so he could glance where the branch hit her. "How did such a thing even manage to occur? Were you not being mindful of your surrounding? Was that some sort of...magical attacking tree that I dodged?" His mind raced through the options before finally deciding on the most likely one.

"You must have been too deep in thought working on a battleplan. My bad for not being alert enough to spot the issue and notice that you weren't paying attention."

lion's pride...

Ilya caught her breath before sitting up slowly, lightly tussling the hair near the back of her neck. Alex reached down to help her up, and she graciously accepted the help... Untiiiil he cupped her chin. Why do people have to get so close. She suffered through the movements as he checked her for injuries. She brushed him off, taking the last few steps to get out of the way of the branch, so it wouldn't happen again.

"I- I- It had- I hate you." She turned away from Alex and huffed away. Her feet stomping on the ground as her cheeks puffed up, crimson rosey red spreading across her cheeks.

Her pouting session ended when she reached the top of the hill she had been pointing out earlier on in their journey. She glanced back at Alex, eyeing him to see what he was doing before she closed her eyes and began to focus. Her magic spewing out of her as it crossed over each section of terrain. Her ears straining to listen, her soul seeking answers with the magic of sound in her selection of land. Her focus, unyielding.

"I see."

Alexander watched the woman stomp off like toddler up the hill, eyes narrowing ever so slightly. Her pride was clearly wounded, and she was acting irrationally. Such dealings could oft sour business, so he'd been taught at a young edge to temper his pride, and if he must throw a tantrum to do it out of the eyes of the indulged party. He would follow after her, tutting slightly as he did so.

This was his first day, he would need to temper his expectations.

He would watch her work as he ascended the hill, crossing his arms expectantly. She would crane her ears, scanning the world with some form of echolocation. He would steady his breathing, doing his best to reduce any noise his body would be making. His heart would slow, his breathing would be nigh silent, and he would watch. When she finally turned back to him, he would exhale and raise an eyebrow.

"Did you find anything?"
There was no point in confronting her on the outburst, he'd learned in his many years that it was best to let sleeping dogs lie unless it came up again.

lion's pride...

The entire situation the two were in came flooding through the lioness' brain as she turned towards Alexander who had joined her on the hill. Ilya stood on her tiptoes to appear more smart as she responded to Alex's question. "I did, actually." And thennn she laid it all out for him.

After she finished explaining the layout of the terrain she would mention that she had heard some strange sounds coming from the cave, suggesting that they head there first.

"Alright, you ready to get this show on the road princess?" She shot a smirk in Alex's direction before she began to walk down the hill in the direction of the cave. Her plan en route was to head to the right of the swamp, through the forest. Though she knew they would eventually have to head over there for one of the materials, it would be easier to take care of the werewolf the easy route, and then head back to where the swamp was.

"I hope you're not scared of the dark~" She teased, only with the thought that she was scared of the dark... Anytime it was dark, the familiar ticking would start....

"Oh, I'm the princess?" He would respond raising an eyebrow. "Today is simply full of surprises." He would listen intently as she laid out the lay of the land with the aid of stick drawing in the dirt that was surprisingly detailed. Watching intently, the redhead would nod along as she mentioned the strange noises in the cave. That would most likely be their werewolf, or perhaps something else? Either way, he would follow after her, silently making a game plan of attack.

When they arrived to the cave, he would once again raise an eyebrow as she taunted and teased him about the dark. "Why would I have any reason to fear the dark?" He would ask, raising a hand up and igniting a small spark of flame in his open palm.

"Besides, it's not the dark that spooks me, but the things that might be lurking within. Keep your guard up."

lion's pride...

Ilya's eyebrow raised to mimic the movements of the giant, one hand on her hip. "Of course you are, Princess Alex~ And today will certainly hold more surprises the further along we go!" After her comment she began to doodle and when Alex understood all that she had seen, she stood back up to her feet. Then the two headed out towards the cave.

The conversations between the two were kept light despite the tense feeling in the air that grew thicker and thicker the closer that the lioness stalked towards the cave's opening. It was clear that this was where their enemy would be and the more intense the air did get, the more that Ilya's eyes would sparkle. A tint of enthusiasm clear as days in her eyes, nothing felt better to this beastkin than sinking her fist into an enemy's face.

She came to a stop at the entrance to the cave, "I am not scared of the dark one bit!" She eyed the flame, internally grateful for the light that it gave her. It wasn't that hard for her to be in the cave. Her enhanced eyesight making it simply annoying, as if everything was in dark greys. No color, barely a tint of light. Though she felt bad for Alex, the flame helped... Only it didn't help him see the cave, instead of walls the flame light just trickled out into the void.

Glancing at Alex and thankful to have him, she held her breath as she trekked deeper into the cave. Her eyes falling on something a little distance away into the dark. When they got close enough, the light of the flame fell onto whatever it was that Ilya had seen. Her hands flew to her mouth as she stared at it wide-eyed. It resembled a human, only it was bones and skulls and torn up bloody cloth sprawled around the body. Her eyes transferred from the human skeleton outline to Alex's gaze. Her body moved a little closer to him, "What the fuck."

"Well then, brave hero Ilya," he would tease as they walked. "I am in your care, and should we return to the castle safely I will award you with a smooch on the cheek and cake." They would begin to walk into the cave, the darkness spilling around them as they got further and further from the mouth of the chasm. The light of day would give way to the dank darkness of the earth. His fire would flicker ambiently, slowly releasing small amounts of his magical energy into the cave in the form of fire and light to combat the darkness.

The woman was protesting too much for her not to be bothered by the shadows. He'd dealt with liars and frauds his entire professional life, you didn't get to be one of the richest men in the world if you were easily duped. As the approached the body, he wasn't so much curious as to what it was, but more the finer details. You only found some many things like this running around in caves like this, so as the woman made her exclamation, he would simply raise an eyebrow.

"A victim of our quarry perhaps?" He would proffer, not letting his flame go out. His emerald eyes would leave the blonde woman and trail to the edges of his light, wondering what could possibly be lurking in the darkness beyond his vision.

"Stay sharp and ready, things are probably about to get more interesting than a NOVA meet and greet."

lion's pride...

She held out her hand for Alexander to take in their dramatic theatre performance. Lest he truly take on his role he would bring her hand up to his face before placing a kiss right above the knuckles. It was heavily enjoyable for herself as their light conversation and improv acts helped remove the darkness from her mind. Having a companion on trips like these certainly was a blessing, especially for the short lioness.

Not wanting to pay any more attention to the remains of whatever it was, Ilya turned her gaze further into the cave. 'Stay sharp and ready, things are probably about to get more interesting than a NOVA meet and greet.' The words that left his mouth flooded her body with shivers. Though her body would make no visual movements. Her gaze and ears perked to try and take hint of any fluctuations in Alexander's breathing or heart patterns, or the likes.

Why would he bring that up out of the blue? Did the media find out I play Terrasphere? Oh god, what's going to happen. Ilya felt her face turn dark as she lifted a hand to run through the front of her hair. "I- Uh- Ah- Hold on... Uhmmm... I'll be... Right back. I gotta log out real quick, a family member is harassing my body. I've got millions of alerts. I should only be like uhhh, 20 minutes? Let's both take a quick break and meet back here. You can log out or stay here, I don't really care."

Ilya held up her palm, opening her menu before watching with an anxious heart as the options slowly popped into her vision. She quickly tapped the 'log out' button and let out the breath she had been holding, although unknowingly. The world dematerialized until it was black. Ilya reached up to her headset- Her fingers shakily peeling it off her face. Sitting up in her bed, Cmon NOVA... Get it together. I'm sure that I'm freaking out over nothing...

NOVA stood to her feet and swiftly walked to the conjoined bathroom of her luxurious apartment. Turning the faucet on, the girl splashed her face with cold water.

"This will be a piece of cake..."

NOVA felt her stomach twist and churn as she dried her face with a nearby towel, moving onto her neck. Once she was satisfied, NOVA set the towel down and exited the bathroom. Her desk was across the room and the stretch of soft flooring between her toes felt longer than it should have. Her fingers shook over the screen of her phone as she picked it up from her desktop. The charger tightening against the wall as she pulled closer to her. I gotta buy a longer chord. Unplugging the phone she tapped her contacts. Ahhh... How do I word this...

Biting her bottom lip, she began to try and formulate the right message in her head. One that wouldn't spill the fact that she was a part of something like this... When she thought up the right words to say she began to tap away furiously at the keyboard on her phone.

Hi cuties,

What's good. How are you doing.

Now that the pleasantries are out of the way, I have a question. Have any of you guys heard any bad rumors, or have you read any bad postings about me. Specifically in regards to the law potentially being broken... Or perhaps being in a cult or bad group of some sort?

pls reply, xx
NOVA

NOVA sunk to the floor as she held her phone in her hand, waiting for a reply.

Alexander would raise an eyebrow as his companion left. That was...sudden. He would look to the corpse at his feet, then to the darkness ahead of him. This was...unideal. He would take a moment, and then log out. Better safe than sorry, after all his brave protector was MIA.

When he awoke, Isaac would peel his headset off and roll his eyes. He had been hoping for a longer session, but he would eat a snack, take a piss, stretch, and then dive right back in. As he rose out of his bed, he would take a couple staggering steps before a buzz on his personal phone would alert him.

That was not his business phone, anyone who sent an alert to that was pressing.

He would pull it up as he towered over his porcelain throne, draining his bladder with one hand while he checked his phone with the other. His eyes would narrow as the gazed over the email.

Speak of the Devil.

He would read her email, his scowl deepening. He could already imagine the scandal brigade was whirring their fucking engines. He would send a quick text to Viktor.

Scramble the PR team and dig up anything possible in regards to Ms Harper. I want to know if so much as a mouse has some shit to say, and then bury it.

With that out of the way, he would wash his hands, pad over to his lounge chair, and pull up Wechat, Nova's preferred method of talking. Using the camera, he checked his face to make sure his luxury dive mask hadn't left any marks before calling her up. When the woman finally deigned to answer (She was one of the few people who got away with not answering on the third dial tone) she would find herself looking into the annoyed emerald eyes of Isaac.

"Pray tell Nova, are you doing anything you need me to know about perhaps?" His tone wasn't cold, but it wasn't particularly thrilled either. "Do I need to arrange for some drug testing perhaps? A confessional with a priest of your choice?" He would raise an eyebrow as he crossed one leg lazily over the other. "Regardless of what you might be up to, rest assured it is buried. I purchased Access Entertainment this morning, those vultures won't be smearing you, and once other see the example I made of Mr. Goldstein, nobody will dare take a potshot at you."

lion's pride...

Sweat began to build up on the girl's forehead as she sat against her desk leg. The phone almost daunting in her fingers as she watched the screen grow black. No notifications. Gods... Maybe this is a sign I need to quit. NOVA closed her eyes as she took a deep breath, letting out a long sigh. THUMP. THUMP. Nothing could calm her heart, and it only began to beat faster when her phone went off. The familiar ringtone leaving an echo in her head. RING RING! It's Isaaaac! beep beep! [insert classic ringtone noise]. [OOC: She legit made her own ringtone with a voice-over. She does this for every contact).

She patted the front of her bangs, unlocking her phone as she began to look at the camera preview. Gods, I look terrible. Like I was in an accident, or had a realllly rough day. Or got into a fight. Going naked-faced, NOVA waited a bit, she always liked to make him wait... PLUS he never said anything about the fact that she never answered right away.

"Hey Isaac." Then he went off. "Thank you for the concern. It's nothing that big." She waved her hand, holding the phone further away so Isaac wouldn't notice the absolute stress swollen-eyes she currently had. "I just had this really bad ominous feeling is all. As long as you know for sure they haven't said anything... Then I trust you." She let out a deep breath, "If there is, can you please call me first. I don't want any of it to be slipped under the rug before I can see it." NOVA began to fiddle with her bangs again as she waited for Isaac to speak again.

The billionaire would give the woman a stern glare, the type that often made grown men wince and instilled fear in those beneath him. The sound of his foot tapping on his elegant mahogany flooring would be loud enough to pick up on his microphone. "Nothing that big?" He would ask, his gaze narrowing into a glare.

"Nova you sent an email to myself, Viktor, you assistant, and your boss. You might as well have set off an emergency flair off in Times Square because a Pidgeon spooked you." His words rang out with a cold sharpness, yet there was a warm and caring undertone to the perceptive listener. "And knowing you and the fact that you are not an absolute airhead, something happened that spooked you enough to sound the actual alarms. Would you care to share with me now, or would you prefer I be more cross when I find out about it later, because believe me." He would uncross his legs and adjust his posture in his seat. "I will find out whatever it is that you have done to warrant being concerned, or what event has spooked you to react as such. So I will repeat myself once, and just this once out of concern for both your well being and the reputation of my company. Is there anything I need to know?" His tone was measured, the canter of his speech smooth and even, only picking up or slowing down to emphasize his point.

"Because I will bury just about anything for you, your talent is promising, and unlike most other simpering moron who happens to be under my employ you don't shrink when I look in your general direction."
