Sunday, 6AM, New York City
Isaac Clarke stood elegantly at his Penthouse window, staring down at the surging streets below. In one hand he held his phone, casually scrolling through images of Ryan Gosling characters, the other hand carefully cradled a cup of tea. He would take a casual sip before stating aloud.

"Call Jeffery Silverstein." His phone, on speakerphone would begin to dial, the tone sounding once, twice, and then would pick up on the third tone.

"Yes Mr. Clarke?"

"I'm going to go ahead and purchase your company at the price you proposed, expect the paperwork on your desk within the day. My lawyers and my people will be around to take care of all the details." The man scowled, wishing he was doing something else other than this.

"Of Course Mr Clarke, and might I say it is an honor to be working with-"

"Enough pleasentries. If you have anything further to say you can say it to Mr Steele when he arrives."
With that the man hung up the phone and took another sip of his tea relishing in it.

"Call Mr Steele." Once again the phone would ring, the dial tone sounding once, twice, and then would pick up.

"Isaac." The man on the voice would answer.

"Mr. Steele." Isaac would quip back. "I have just acquired Access Entertainment, please take the proper steps to merge it under our current entertainment complex."

"Yes sir, any specifics?"
The man would reply.

"Axe any of their shitty Telenovelas and reality TV series. Re-up and renew all of their musical talent contracts, and for the love of god dump Mr Silverstein on his ass, pompous ass thinking I would deign to work alongside him after allowing the tabloids to run that smear piece on NOVA. Actually, find everyone responsible for that drivel and bury their careers."

"Yes sir."

"Also, instruct everyone that I am to be left along for the remainder of the day. I will not be taking any calls, meetings, or visitors."

"Yes sir."

"That will be all."

"Very well sir, enjoy your day off."

Isaac would take one last sip of his tea, striding over to his bed and setting it down on his nightstand. He would sit down, kicking off his slippers and reclining comfortably. He would grab his VR headset from its resting place on his pillow and slide the goggles on.

Yeah, it was gamer time.

...

Alexander would open his eyes to Eastern Brisshal for the first time right as the sun would crest over the horizon, bathing the warrior king in a glorious golden glow. The CEO had picked something elegant and regal, but with a sense of wilderness to it. A tall mountain of bronzed muscle with a mane of flame. Something akin to a character he'd seen on an ancient visual novel that people still simped over.

He would forge himself anew in this world and become a man worthy of respect, not for his money, but for his might and his actions. Either way, he would need to start at the bunny slopes. He'd missed his first chance to play the game during Terrasphere 1 due to a hiccup with his Electric Motor company. By the time he had free time, the game had gone offline ruining any chances of a second life. The second launch had been a blessing, and he wasn't going to squander it. He'd waited a month from the game relaunching to sniff out any funny business, making sure it wasn't some sort of VRSA honeypot before sending his goons to sniff out all of the information they could for him.

"Perfection." He found himself muttering. "Let's get this bread gamers."

He would head off down the road into Honeyhome, ready to leave his mark on the history of this world.

lion's pride...

Honeyhome, what a great place. No, literally. This lion never got tired of going back to the starting roots. At least the ones she had like five years ago. Thankfully, Ilya came a lot more often to this place. Thank the lords for Brutus, speaking of the devil..

Ilya's eyes lit up as she saw a tall figure that was the same height as Brutus, similar build... RED HAIR. It's Brutus! Ima scare him! Ilya began to creep from shadow to shadow and began to tail the man that she thought was her friend.

That was... Until he turned his gaze to the side, as soon as she saw his face she froze and ducked back into hiding. That is not Brutus... Gods what if I went to scare them. I could have died?!

Ilya peeped back out from her hiding spot, thankfully the man hadn't noticed her tailing him. Pfft.. Why did I think it was him? If it was Brutus he woulda noticed me wayyy earlier. Her ears and tail flicked defiantly as she peeled away from her hiding place as soon as the man was far enough away. Then she began to stroll Honeyhome again, her feet taking her the same way as the giant.. Albeit, much slower than him. She was unknowingly observing him with her beast senses, in an unobvious way.

Alright, that's the Sherriff's house, Stankins I think his name is? There's the bakery, that's old Lady Gertrude... Alexander kept mental tabs of everything he was seeing and feeling as he trod through the town. He couldn't help but notice people were looking at him, but not in like the "Oh that's a big dude he's hard not to notice kind of way." But they were double taking, like they were expecting someone else when they saw him and were...disappointed to see him?

He furrowed his brow.

This was...annoying to say the least. Day one and he was already having unexpected problems. He hadn't even dealt with Goblins or wolves, or gotten his first quest, what fucking gives. Finally, after a while he would pause and turn to one of the villagers.

"One thousand pardons, but I couldn't help but notice that I've been getting...looks? Is there something wrong?" The villager, a young man no older than 17 would balk at the giant for a moment before finally managing to find his voice.

"Well it's uh..." he would stammer. "You kinda look like a pretty popular hero hereabouts"

"I-"
Alexander paused, frowning. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? I WENT FOR A UNIQUE LOOK AND SOME FUCKWAD ALREADY LOOKS LIKE ME?!? DAMN-FUCKING-NATION. "See. Perhaps we are related distantly?" He would shrug. "Thank you for informing me."

"If you're a relative of Mr Dahlgren you're welcome here sir!"

Dahlgren? Like the Canon? Really?

This guy was a relative of Bru? Of course he is.. Fucking red hair, max height, built like a muscular minion from Despicable Me. She rolled her eyes before she turned to walk away from him. Though a small tug at her heart made her falter, C'monn NOVA, one Brutus is MORE than enough Brutuses. She let out an inward groan, rolling her eyes as she turned around.

She started walking in the same direction again, however this time faster. Fast enough to catch up to him as he stopped to look at things here and there. What's he even doing... Exploring? Looking for something to do?

The behavior made her feel peculiar about the whole situation, if he was exploring it would make sense. But why would someone who was looking for something to do, not talk to everyone. Shrugging it off she walked past him, her hair fluttering in the breeze. It might have accidentally flicked his arm or not when she bypassed. That was up to the wind.

Then a few feet above, she stopped. Her gaze resting warmly on an all-too familiar alchemist. "Marnie, how have you been? How are the kids and the dog?" Ilya exchanged familiar pleasantries with the lander before she cut to the chase. "Got any requests you need someone to handle? I've got some free-time on my hands, and don' worry about paying-" She cut off Marnie from interjecting, "Seriously Marnie, you have quite a hand full of mouths to feed. I won't hear anything about payment, and if you still insist. I would love for you to make a nice dinner for me. So I can join you and the kids again."

Eh? A quest? And Pro Bono?

He would watch the interaction with curious intent. He would watch the Alchemist and the adventurer as they would talk, confused. Was that alchemist a player? The way she spoke was so...fluid. He would furrow his emerald eyes before approaching.

"Hello ladies, I could not help but overhear your conversation. I am a...stranger in these lands and was hoping to begin making a name for myself." He would give them a light bow, "You may call me Alexander, and I am an aspiring adventurer."

The Silverhaired lioness was...familiar. Something about her face seemed...eerily uncanny, like a sense of deja vu was coming over him. Her form was strange, but he could have sword she was...no. Her boobs were too big, her body too toned, there was no way it could be his employee.

"Would you mind if I joined you for whatever errands you might be needing to run Miss...?" He would raise an eyebrow.

I'll have to remember to text Nova that I found her doppelganger online.

lion's pride...

The voice of a man would have spooked Ilya if she hadn't heard his footsteps coming towards her. Her ears picked up on everything, her nose, picked up even the slightest change of wind.

Her body turned to include the man in conversation, and when he was done she would nod her head at him. "No need to bow, we're all of the same caliber here." She smiled warmly at him before greeting him. "Of course you can join us A- Can I just call you Alex? Your name is pretty long." She laughed awkwardly before introducing herself.

"The name's Ilya. Pleasure to meet you." After pleasantries were exchanged she turned back to Marnie.

"Whatever you need Marnie, name it and we've got it." Marnie smiled warmly at them both before she placed a hand on Ilya's arm. "Come to the back with me." Ilya followed Marnie into the little shop front, before Marnie headed to the counter. She grabbed a paper and began to write on it.

Ilya tapped her fingers lightly on the counter, her fingers tapping away in an identical rhythm to the song she was humming, as she waited for Marnie. She stopped when Marnie turned around and handed her the list.

"Who's watching the kids today by the way?" Ilya asked as she took the list and held it up for both her and Alex to look over.

"Ahh, I have the blacksmith's boy, Jojo looking over them today. Now that list, all of it needs to be done. But I can't ask you guys to do all of it. Go ahead and pick something that you think would work."

- Fix the roof, it's leaking
- Deliver the potions and medicine Gertrude and I made for a few of the villagers.
1. Esther (Package A)
2. Stankins (Package B)
3. Larry (Package C)
- Gather some ingredients
1. Bloodroot
2. Earth, Water, Fire, Air Elemental Dust
3. Flask of werewolf blood
4. Lilywood Fruit
5. Ravenous Moss

The list seemed easy enough, she figured the two could accomplish all of it.

Alexander would follow after the two women, ducking under the door frame as he peered around. The room smelled of herbs and medicine, various jars and pots filled with all sorts of strange concoctions would line the shelves. His eyes would scan labels reading out as "Cough syrup" or "Health regeneration" with idle curiosity while Marnie seemingly went over the list of tasks for the two of them. Some of them made sense to him, things like healing medicines would be necessary for a game like this, but cough syrup?

How peculiar.

He would watch as the woman hummed her song, tip tap tapping her finger along to the beat, and soon he found his own foot tapping along to her song as well. That was...peculiar as well. He would shake his head and chuckle as she turned back around and showed him their list.

"With your musical talents, you wouldn't happen to have done any stage work would you?" He would ask, raising and eyebrow. "We could use that carpentry to fix the roof. As for running packages, I know where Esther's Bakery and Stankins' house is, but I don't know this Larry gentleman."

His eyes would peer over the various ingredients and his brow would furrow. "Some of these ingredients seem simple enough to get, but the others..." he would tap the werewolf blood. "Is there even a werewolf nearby to bleed for such a thing?"

Ilya thought for a moment, "Assuming by stage work you mean setting up stages and stuff, I would say no. But I do have experience fixing stuff in the game. I've been doing it for a few years now." She watched the man furrow his eyebrows, "For that, we head to the tavern. And seek out any rumors. If there are no werewolves lurking about around here. A village a few miles south. We'd have to borrow one of the farmer's horses to make it there and back in time for dinner." She rubbed her stomach, hungry already. But with no noises being made she would be able to contain her hunger.

"I'll take you to Larry's. I know this town like the back of my hand." Ilya then turned to Marnie and smiled widely, "We'll do it all. Lemme see the packages."

Marnie handed her the packages, Ilya took them and began to head for the exit. "Good morning Gertrude." She waved at the nana before making her way back the way the two had come. Her feet taking her in the direction of the bakery. "We'll drop off the packages, pick up their payments. Then we'll go to the tavern, ask about werewolves. When that's all done, we'll head back to the fix the roof, give her the gold. If there's no werewolf in town, then we can get the horses. Go out to gather all the ingredients and ride swiftly to Stokbon. Where we can get the werewolf blood from the Tower Mage that resides there, and make it back here... Hopefully in time for dinner, a warm bath and a trip to the tavern to drink."

Alexander would nod along as the woman took all of their tasks and arranged them in an easy and doable order that would take what seemed like a litany of disparate tasks and strung them along in a way that would make his Executive Assistant blush.

Truly a woman after his heart.

"Ideally I would say to split the tasks so that we could juggle and be more efficient, but for the sake of learning more it would make sense to instruct me on where we need to go." He would wave to the elderly woman, who once again double took as she saw him. "Ma'am" he would nod, getting the door, allowing the Lioness out into the morning sun.

"Tell me, if you are from around here." He would pause, turning back to the door and the two women who had started murmuring, hearing the infamous Brutus name. "Do you know this Brutus gentlemen? Do we truly look so similar? I thought I had made myself quite striking..." He shook his head, following her along to their first stop, a gentlemen a stout man by the name of Larry who stared at him like he was some sort of doppelganger. "Ilya, I didn't know Brucie had family in town!" The man would grumble. "Didn't realize he had kin, though he aint got the tail?"

A tail? Do these people seriously have us confused if this Brutus man is some sort of beastman?

"Tasks are always easier when they are split between two parties, but where's the fun in travelling and doing errands alone. Especially when I already have company." She put the list in the bag that adorned her waist before carrying on.

Dropping the package off at Larry's was super easy. They greeted each other, Ilya made some small talk. Checked up on things, and that was when he handed her a letter. "Open it when yous got da time, and make sure yer alone." He eyed the giant, "Yer really look just like ol' hero Brutus." Then he handed the duo the gold.

"Mmmm, I'm honestly from around everywhere. Though I've been here a lot more recently because of Brutus. He's a good friend of mine actually, we defeated a giant plant-monster together. Then established a hot spring! I'll have to show you where it is sometime. It's truly a sight to behold. It's just like all those hot springs in anime." Taking another look at Alex, Ilya would nod her head. "Yeah, you two look realllly similar. Although.... You aren't a lion man." She flicked her tail in response, before the two continued on.

Their route now taking them across the bakery, where Ilya handed off the package. Accepting the payment, she nodded at one of the snacks. "Wanna get something for the road?" She waggled her eyebrows, "My treat." Then she reached over and picked up a treat of her own. Thankfully the bakery had all the goods and treats she absolutely loved.

And Esther was nice enough to make her something more modern. With NO chocolate. She was in heaven, she took a bite before placing a few gold pieces in Ester's hand. She grabbed another and nodded at Alex to take whatever he wanted.

He would watch her waggle her tail as she walked, minding how long he let his gaze linger. This world already had a giant heroic redhead it would appear. Ironic, Brutus was his name? He would probably need to steer clear of the man, simply for the sake of being able to be his own person rather than a clone of another man.

"A Hot Spring?" He would raise an eyebrow. "Like in an...anime? Which one in particular?" He would ask, following along after her. He wasn't partial to that sort of information, so some external research would be needed. The Bakery was a treat, a bouquet of smells and sights as his mouth began to drool slightly. This world was more realistic than he was anticipating, and he was curious to sample everything it had to offer. He would casually look over the stock before turning to the Lioness.

"I'm not used to people treating me," he would mused with a chuckle. "I'll return the favor once I have some coin to my name." Being broke was not a problem he was used to. He would grab a roll of bread and a sweet roll before turning to the woman.

"You remind me of a..." he almost said friend. Almost. "Someone I work with I guess. She's picky about her sweets too."

Ilya took another bite of her treat, her ears twitching in content. "Mmm- Won sewon." She swallowed her bite before she went on. "Mmm, it's the classic hot springs episode. Like in Fairy Tale or Black Clover. There's one boys pool, one girls and one mixed! There's both mud and hot water."

Ilya smiled, "Well, I have all the money in the world. You can return the favor whenever, or not at all. Everyone deserves to taste Esther's goodies." Ilya thanked Esther one more time before she turned away from the store. "Shall we head to Stankins?" Jeeze the two were already almost done with one of the tasks they needed to complete, and it was barely noon.

Her legs felt light as she worked her way down the road, "Hmm, well I know a lot of people are picky eaters. I just so happen to be one of them. Though I'm not THAT picky. Do you like chocolate?"

"I tend to avoid sweets altogether usually. In the...real world I tend to follow a strictly regimented diet. Breakfast of an eggwhite omelet with spinach, lunch of a grilled chicken salad, dinner is a rotating choice of various proteins paired with grilled asparagus and baked vegetables. Rinse and repeat ad infinitum for the past..." he paused. "Very long time. I only break it for special occasions like birthdays and social events, and holidays depending on the holiday."

He would follow after her, furrowing his brow. "Though I would not call it picky, I just take excellent care of my body. My profession allows for minimal sick days," he would take a bite of the roll and grunt slightly. "Though I suppose my time spent here will allow me to...indulge in such things without fear of doing any long term damage to my actual diet..." A smirk crossed his lips. "Talk about having your cake and eating it too."

He would follow after her towards Stankins' house. The two would find themselves standing on the man's porch. Ilya would knock and the sheriff would step out looking them both over.

"Ilya," he would look Alexander up and down. "And a new guy, another starcalled here? Bless my heart." He would shake Alexander's hand before turning to Ilya. "And I'm guessing you got Gertrude's' meds eh? Perfect, I was just about to send the boys on patrol."

"Doesn't eating the same thing everyday get boring?" She took another bite out of her sweet. "What holidays do you consider a holiday where you might divulge in pleasure? And what's your favorite holiday?"

She rolled her eyes, "Duuuude, don't tell me your the kind of person to put your work life over your personal life. You had a good thing going for you too. Well, besides the food situation." Ilya waved her hand dramatically before continuing to more subtle movements.

Stankins went in for a hug, Ilya ducked and maneuvered around, "Haha, too slow." She laughed, and gave the man an awkward pat on the shoulder. She then delivered the package and retrieved the funds. "Say, shall we head to the tavern now? We've already finished one task out of however many we have! We're one step closer to a yummmmmy dinner." She smirked before monching again on her treat, her feet moving lighter in the general direction of the tavern.

"I am a creature of habit, some bad and some good. My boring meals make the more extravagant and good meals all the better." He would follow after as they headed to the tavern. "As for pleasure holidays, I treat myself on Christmas, Easter, the Fourth of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve. I am personally partial to either the Fourth or Christmas. The Fourth of July is one of the few personal days I take off to relax, as for Christmas." He find a genuine smile spreading across his lips.

"I like to give gifts, and very rarely do people feel comfortable receiving them from me unless it's a birthday or Christmas." He would let them sit in silence as the approached the tavern. "As for my work life, you sound like my assistant. He's constantly telling me to spend more time enjoying myself rather than working myself to the bone. Hence..." he would motion to the surrounding area. "I have decided to pick up a hobby for myself."

lion's pride...

Nothing felt better than giving gifts, and Ilya's mind was brought back to the day she had gotten her own assistant a gift. One that was an appreciation gift of all that Echo did for her. Ilya smiled warmly at the memory, she had gotten Echo a cute little bracelet charm with Cinnamoroll from Sanrio on it. Speaking of gifts... Wasn't Isaac's birthday coming up? July 7th or something.. It was still quite a few months away, but Ilya had no idea what to get the man in the first place.. What could an infinitely rich hotshot like him want... Or even need? What would he want that he didn't just go out and buy it.

Ilya drew a finger to her chin before waggling her eyebrows at Alex. "Speaking of gifts, what should I get this guy for his birthday. It's coming up pretty soon, and I have no idea what he likes. He's super rich and kind of... I dunno. He looks like a bitch but he's really nice... Or at least I think he is? We haven't spoken that much. But I want to get him a gift because he's been nothing but nice to me when we have spoken. He seems to kind of have a short temper, and he seems like he has NO LIFE. What would you get a guy like that?"

Ilya glanced as he motioned to the area, taking another bite and finishing one of her goodies, "Yeah, this is my hobby as well. Kinda sad. But kinda cool."

"Sounds like you should get to know him better before you get him a gift." Alex would reply keeping in step with the woman. "Though he sounds a bit high strung." Ironic, coming from him. "If he's some sort of business man he might like something practical. If you work with or for him, you might perhaps do something work related? Otherwise, if he has an assistant you can probably ask them. I know a lot of people treat their help like a therapist, they probably have some insight to what has been bothering them and something that they will appreciate."

He would pause, pursing his lips. "When in doubt, you can always go for something sentimental. Money isn't the only thing that adds value to a gift. Things like a photo or a handmade card can express how much you care for practically pennies on the metaphorical dollar."

He would listen to her last admittance and raise an eyebrow. "Your hobby is stepping into another world and living out every nerds Isekai dream with real magic and brawls, I would hardly catergorize this as lame. In fact, I would probably put this game on the top five coolest hobbies,"

Ilya made the impromptu decision to ask Viktor what he would want when she got off of the game. In the meantime she would let it rest at the back of her mind and she continued on. It didn't take long for the two of them to make it to the tavern.

"I mean it's a cool hobby to- well er... Imagine if I were to tell people I want to befriend that I played a game like this. They'd just think I'm weird. It'd be nice to have a different hobby on top of this one. Though I know that's asking for a bit too much, especially since I enjoy Terrasphere so much."

Ilya opened the door for Alex, and waved her hand to motion to him to enter. "If you want a drink, sure. But we're here to gather intel on werewolves. Since we're gonna be fighting one if there is one, I can't imagine I would want to be intoxicated during it." She shoved her second treat in her mouth and nommed it up as quick as possible. She then entered the tavern after Alex, following behind him, practically invisible due to their height difference.

"I suppose to the uninitiated this world could be considered bizarre, daunting, or outright dangerous." He would muse rubbing his chin. "Though I wouldn't mind being able to talk to someone about this game in the real world. I highly doubt it would ever happen, however." He would tut and then take point as he entered the bar. Normally he would have insisted she go first but he would yield in this moment.

"Right, werewolves." He would squint, scanning the crowd. "What do you suppose a werewolf looks like in this sort of game? Are they big and hairy oa-" he would pause, clearing his throat.

"I don't drink unless its something from my collection back home, so have no fear on me getting drunk." He would eye her up and down. "Also, if we're going to be fighting a werewolf, do you have any silver or something on you to hurt it? I have some flames, but that's about it..."

lion's pride...

It was quite a thought, to be able to talk about this game out in the real world. So far the only person she had confided in was her best friend, Zelrius. Though she had met him on the game, if word got out that she played Terrasphere... She could be facing a huge lawsuit, and the government would probably bring her in for questioning. It sounded like a bigger hassle than it was worth.

Giving the man a small shrug she glanced sideways at him as he asked about what werewolves looked like. "I've never actually seen one to be honest, though I imagine it would have hair..." She raised an eyebrow quizzically before she walked further into the tavern. Her ears trailing every single conversation going on as she categorized them.

As she was eavesdropping and figuring out which ones would be more likely to know of the presence of a werewolf in the area, Ilya was questioned in regards to whether or not she had silver or fire. She let out a lighthearted chuckle, "I don't need silver or anything like that when I have my fists." She punched her palm, "And if that doesn't work, I'll just turn my fists into beast hands." To solidify her statement she began to transform her right hand into a paw. Fur began to grow on her hand as it increased in size. Her fingers turning into thumbs as her palm turned into a pad. Not much time had passed before she held up her deadly lion's paw. "What else can you do other than fire magic?" She sheathed her claws before letting go of the transformation. It turned smoothly back into her normal hand.

"Either way, we've got this in the bag. Now from my eavesdropping, it seems like those people over there." She pointed with her thumb, "Are adventurers or explorers or something. Seems like we should either ask them or the bartender."
