The Tangleweaves, an unimaginably large forest that was packed so densely with trees that you were more likely to get lost along the way than if you were to reach your destination. The trees of this forest were home to innumerable secrets that had been lost to time due to the forest's ability to move and change itself every so often. The only ones who seemed to have little to no trouble navigating this ever-changing expanse of woods were its ancestral inhabitants, the elves. Their natural affinity for the nature around them gave them an advantage in this landscape over all other races.

However as of late even the number of elves that were disappearing within this sea of trees had begun to increase exponentially, it was almost as if a dark shadow had come to lay claim over this forest. No one knew for sure what the cause for these disappearances was, but rumor had it that someone was kidnaping all elves that they came across for some unknown reason. The one thing that everyone could agree on was that whoever was behind the cause of this clearly had something nefarious in mind for those they captured.

The sounds of something being drug along the grounds could be heard as a figure clad in a dark black cloak made its way along one of the few clear paths that wove through the forest. The hood on the cloak was pulled up and obscuring the figure's face from view but what really stood out the most was the unconscious elf male that had its hands and feet bound, mouth gagged, and was being dragged along the ground behind the figure by a length of rope. The elf stirred slightly causing the sounds of a dark tongue could be heard emitting from within the folds of the hood, as the speech was uttered the rough and guttural-sounding words seemed to echo around the forest as the shadows grew in length and darkened in color, the very ground around them seeming to rumble as the figure spoke.

Upon finishing speaking everything quickly returned to how it had been before he spoke, the only difference was that the elf had once again stopped moving and lay there limp on the ground. The figure turned and resumed his journey, dragging the elf behind him for a few minutes before coming to a halt. Looking around to make sure that he hadn't been followed the hooded figure disappeared into a cave that had been hidden by tree roots and shrubbery dragging the elf into the darkness of the depths behind him.

_____Avius was only here to map out locations, he was not nearly strong enough to fight half the things that chased him around the god forsaken jungle no matter how well he THOUGHT he was hidden. One creature that could speak mentioned 'sweet scent of faerin' and since then the poor rookie player did everything to avoid being upwind to creatures, tried to mask his scent with anything that made his nose hurt and just go about his focused task.

_____Avius regretted his idea to go explore the regions to see if his current thoughts had been correct. The doors that only some Faerin could see, that was why he was here sitting in a tree overlooking the forest floor and the monsters search for him. He had been tracking them all down, marking them on his maps trying to find rhythm to the madness, order in the music. But as he drew out the movement line of the most recently found door it was very much clear another dead end.

"Not Fibonacci, was not Logarithmic spiral, or anything else I have tried to match with real world... Whoever set these doors was either very smart to avoid any repeat and or pattern... or was using a system not in any textbooks..."

_____Avius mumbled to himself as he held the paper maps overtop one another to see if maybe it was hidden in the layers, trying every combination he could until one switch the map caught the wind sending his map across the jungle and a stumbling Faerin to chase after it dragging the herd of monsters some distance behind. Just once he wanted to go do exploring without having to thank his perfect memory to draw out the areas. He also wanted to just once not be the target of Miss fortune's cruel sense of humor as the Faerin ran past some tracks and caught his map breathing heavily while storing it with the rest in his UI.

Remy slowly made his way through the darkness of the cave he had come to inhabit during his time here in the Tangleweaves, the sound of the unconscious elf being drug through the dirt behind him accompanying every step he took. He had come to this inhospitable forest to escape the persecution he had been facing in Falderan when he first started playing this game and to have a remote location away from prying eyes so he could conduct his experiments. Experiments that in the more civilized parts of the world would most definitely have been forbidden and ended up with him behind prison bars.

His walking came to a stop when he entered a large room that was dimly lit using many small candles, his eyes peering around to make sure that nothing had been disturbed while he was gone and that there were no signs that anyone had found this place. Seeing nothing that was out of place, Remy dragged the elf over before throwing its unconscious body into a prison cell that was made from bone, however, these bones were not normal and had been hardened until they were as strong as steel using his Animancy. His eyes then scanned the room to the other seven cages of the same design, each one holding an elf inside.

The captured elves each possessed eyes that seemed as if they were completely devoid of life and hope, replaced with pure hopelessness and fear as Remy drew near and looked down at them. As he neared their cages, they quickly moved to the backs and tried to make as much distance between themselves and him as they possibly could for fear that they would be chosen for yet another of his heinous experiments. The smile across his face was devoid of all happiness and was nothing but sinister. His dream of creating a breed of creature that he had seen in cinemas from the real world using Dark Magic and elf hosts drew ever closer.

Pressing his face close to the bone bars Remy sneered at the elf inside, who gasped in terror and pressed his body against the back of his confinement, attempting to flee his captor. "You will help me give birth to a new breed of being here in Terrasphere, you should feel honored as you will be the first of many", he said as he moved away and the cavern in the cave was filled with the sound of his sinister laughter.

_____Avius was going to keep running, mostly to avoid the creatures that had been chasing him up until he did not hear them. What more he looked down to notice the tracks while catching his breath and something tugged the back of his mind. He had seen it a few times, the signs of a struggle, and the signs of dragging. He did not want to get mixed up in more trouble then he always found himself in as he leaned down to look over the trail.

"Size and depth of the mark, the distance between them... Either a muscular female, or a male... Young to adult maybe... Whatever has it likely dragging them behind not pushing..."

_____Avius mumbled to himself as he kept looking over the marks, his mind screaming advice from his father 'kidnappers are the second worst group of people to meet' but the more the boy looked down, and his mind choosing to remind him in game he was 'a hero' for what it was worth he grumbled and started to follow the tracks. Why did he want to be a good guy, he was raised to be on the other side of the good vs evil line yet something about being liked and respected for his deeds rather then feared and hunted just drew him in.

_____That said though as he got near the mouth of the cave Avius was very much starting to really have second thoughts as the laugh echoed out. Why did people think laughter was a good thing when it could sound evil just as easily. A deep breath as Avius tried to discover more about the area to avoid going in blind. Did he only have one way out, who and how many had been inside, was anything 'evil' actually going on and not just a person venting steam? There was to much he did not know as the Faerin tried to stay hidden outside the cave watching it more then what was happening around himself.

Remy stood there peering down at the creature that was locked inside the skeletal cage, a dangerous gleam in his eyes. He had abducted all these elves for the sole purpose of creating a new life form that didn't exist within Terrasphere currently, one that within its cinematic universe was the epitome of evil. He wasn't even sure if it had been possible when he started, but that was one of the things that drew him in about this game, the level of player freedom that it offered was unlike any other he had experienced. If you think it could be done, then a lot of the time it could be.

Standing there he looked down at the results of his experiments thus far, when he had begun, the elves had all looked like they were supposed to, tall, fair-skinned, and beautiful. The dark magic had begun to twist their visage and now the skin of the elves had begun to grey, and their eyes had turned to yellow as if they were suffering from liver failure. But they still didn't look like he wanted them to which caused him to narrow his eyes slightly. He didn't understand why he kept ending in failure, what was it that he was missing?

As he stood there pondering it for a moment, the reason came to him and it was so obvious that he felt like he had been hit by a truck. The creatures that he was trying to create had been a combination of elves and goblins through dark magic, not just mutated through dark magic. He couldn't believe that he had forgotten such an important detail which was why he wasn't getting the results that he was after. It seemed he would have to go out to get more experimental components after all.

Closing his eyes for a moment Remy activated his Spirit Magic mastery, and summoned the spirits of elves that had died due to his experiments previously, he always did this when he needed to leave. He knew that they wouldn't be particularly strong in a fight, however, in a world like this that didn't have security cameras, they served a purpose. They would watch over his dwelling and if anyone came while he was gone, they would inform him and he would change locations. With that completed and out of the way, Remy pulled the hood of his cloak over his head more so that his face was hidden completely in its shadow, and walked out of the cave slowly and out into the wild forest beyond.
