A hearty giggle escaped Kyanna's lips as she was eagerly taken by Kamala by her hand, with warmth feeling her chest at the cheerfulness of her friend as she hurried along with her.

The reception from the Landers weren't exactly the most friendly, but Kyanna did her best to ignore, focusing on what was important for the sake of the small elf.

"A handful of things, I'm not sure if we will have all in here, but we gotta make it do... There must be a substitute, in a way or another!" She giggled, clasping her hands together and peering over to the table, where she would need to start putting her hands to work, but first- for the ingredients.

"We will need flour, vanilla, sugar, butter, egg..." Kyanna started counting on her fingers, tugging each of them at every mention of ingredients, while her mind lingered off to something that may have been important too-

"Do you have cocoa beans around here? They are a bit rare, but..."

At least in Medieval times, chocolate was rather expensive. Granted, one couldn't really consider TerraSphere as something akin to Medieval, could they? The magi technology was certainly advanced, and magic was a good substitute for science, on top of being able to break the laws of physics and giving them more flexibility.

Kamala tilted her tiny elven head to one side as she tried to think if they did have any of those ingredients as they were spoken. Flour, of course! How else would they make cakes for everyone's birthdays? Vanilla wasn't as needed, truth be told, but it was someone's favorite ice cream flavor, so they had to have it. Sugar, butter, and egg... These things were easier to find on a farm.

As for the last ingredient...

"Cocoa beans? Hmm... Let me think..."

Kamala squinted, her eyes wandering around the cupboards, as she finished gathering the other ingredients. They had beans, plenty of it, different kinds of it, but cocoa beans? She tried her best to remember if anyone needed, wanted, or craved them so much, that they worked hard to farm them into existence. She was almost about to give up when she remembered an old friend that just left the farm a month or two ago, having already decided to pursue something else in this world.

"Oh! Yes, we do! Well, it's not 100% the same, but it's pretty close... We had a...Traveler here a while back, Martha, she's from Oaxaca... Do you know where Oaxaca is? Apparently, they have this drink there that's so good, and Martha, she's such a nice girl, wanted to share it with us for Wintersday..."

Kamala struggled to pull out something from a cupboard near the floor, on the right side of the room. She had taken out other bags that were labeled terribly, meaning whoever wrote their labels had pretty bad handwriting, realizing they were not what she was looking for. There was some sort of squishy rice, another smelled of the earth, and more Kamala was either too soft or too hard to be cocoa beans.

With much effort, however, and perhaps help from Kyanna, Kamala was able to rescue a bag of cocoa beans, dragging it outside of the cupboard and falling on her butt from the weight of it all.

"Oof! I think that's the last bag. Martha left it for us, but no one really had any use for it..."

It wasn't like no one on the farm liked chocolates, though. It was like no one on the farm liked chocolates that much to make them from scratch using Martha's 96.5% authentic cocoa beans. Kamala herself was still not used to the taste. It was close, but not that close. Better stuff were better found elsewhere.

As soon as Kamala reminded herself of the cocoa beans they had available, Kyanna perked up and eagerly helped her to catch the bag, pulling it out for it to be used, letting out a sigh as the heavy bag was pulled out, though with the downside of getting the two of them down to their butts.

"Ouchie! This Martha's beans are a bit of a trap." She giggled, looking at Kamala and standing up, helping her friend up to her feet and smiling warmly to her.

"If no one really had use for it, it is fine. We will have the use for it, and as soon as we are done with the cookies, everyone will want to make them as well, and they will need cocoa beans." Kyanna puffed her chest confidently, finding this to be a genius move.

"Alright, now to start baking our cookies, we will need~" Kyanna hummed, soon starting the baking with her beloved friend.

It wouldn't take long for them to bake as many cookies as they could to spread a bit of their lovely recipe to many of the landers, that while were still a bit cold and with their hearts closed, they could certainly open up in the future. It would take long steps until they were finally be able to smile to each other genuinely and naturally once again... But until then, the two girls would do everything they could to bring joy to them.
