-2 LP from Majolica attack
Majolica takes 30 damage
+28 Sean Buff

Hehehe, Good work Sean and Bradwynne! Feels just like old times!

With their combined attacks, the first bear was down for the count. Now it was three against one, much favorable odds but still, the battle wasn't over yet.

Having trained others in the past, Majolica knew to keep an eye on Ru Ning. He was new to this world and Majolica knew from meeting and training many that combat was the easiest thing to get used to immediately, and Ru Ning and literally been thrust into it after being in the world for not even an hour.

Mr. Ru Ning, hehe, do what you can but stay safe!

Majolica noticed that Ru had decided to join in the fight, which made her smile.

Hehehe, to fight or run is always a difficult question, but I have to say I'm fond of the one's that stand their ground and fight. What do you know, he uses spirit magic like me, hehe. Does he summon frogs too? No no no, that's a Grand Witch thing, hehe.

Suddenly, Majolica noticed that the bear had begun to charge Ru Ning.

Uh oh, hehe.

Preparing another volley of Dark Magic, Majolica readied herself and shouted to Ru Ning.

Retreat backwards a bit! Hehe, I'll hit it from the side!

Majolica waited for the opportune moment to strike.

Hehehe... not yet, not yet, just a little more. I need to hit it directly on its side that way when it does it will knock it off balance. Hehehe, that should give Ru Ning some time to figure out what he wants to do. Almost there... and NOW!

Majolica fired off another beam of Dark Magic.

Witch Beam! Hehe!

The blast knocked the bear to its side giving Ru Ning an opportunity to either fire or run for cover.

One left, hehe, let's finish this!

This is my first step, hehe, my first battle, the first step on my vengeance on this world! Hehehe, no holding back!

Bradwynne was trying to hold off the bear that he was grappling with in hopes of a person noticing what was going on. Fortunately the newcomer had just fired off a spell enough to fell the bear, as its legs gave way and it breathed its last. Bradwynne then shoved the bear out of his way as he intended to give the newcomer a heartfelt thanks. But he was just thinking about that when he then saw the newcomer being pinned by the second bear. By then he felt some sort of power coursing through his body. He had remembered Sean was shouting back when he was grappling the now dead bear; was that a divine spell that Sean just used on them all?

As he was thinking about all of this, Majolica then started to deliver one of her devastating spells at the bear that was pinning down the newcomer, but that only made the bear angry and started to turn towards Majolica instead. Knowing that Majolica might be in a dire situation, Bradwynne started to conjure a divine energy pillar so that she would be protected from more incoming attacks as well as attacking the bear by dropping the pillar onto it. He calmly analyzed where the bear was going to be at a given point in time, and then, when the time was right, he then cast the spell. But as the pillar had been dropped onto the head of the bear, it had somehow resisted his divine energy, but as Sean's blessing intensified as it coursed through his spell, the bear's head was then overwhelmed by the intense light of the pillar, inundating it to the point that it was then vaporized, the headless body falling limp towards the ground. Bradwynne then heaved a sigh of relief, and then said to everyone present, "Looks like we had done really well in defeating these two bears. Maybe we should start hauling these to the city to make some use out of them." He then looked at the bears again. " ...Or should we cook some nice bear skewers today?"

Sean breathed a sigh of relief as he put his sword away. His banner dissipated into ashes, falling to the ground then being picked up by the wind. He watched the ashes with a slightly concerned expression before turning to the others. "Is everybody okay?"

Sean moved to extend an arm to Ru Ning so he can help the new arrival off the ground. "I've been trying to get some healing magic down for just this type of situation." Once Ru Ning was up and standing, Sean held one of his open hands to his chest and started to focus. First, Majolica, Bradwynne, and Ru would notice a warm feeling spreading through their bodies as their wounds started to close. Then, Sean himself would experience the same. "...The warmth of my healing is always comforting."

Sean then turned to Bradwynne, thinking about the options. We can either bring the bears to the city, or cook them here... "I believe it would be best to bring the bears to the city. That way, more people will get fed, and we can bring Ru Ning here to a safe place. Staying here could attract more attention than we want."

Sean put the mask back on, nodding to the others.

His eyes were frozen wide with horror as he stared at the now deceased bear. The creature's maw still gripped tightly onto his left leg, he took a moment to calm down before struggling to pry open its jaw in order to set himself free. With Sean's assistance, he eventually managed to stand, however the lingering pain still remained. "Perhaps it'd be more prudent to lower the pain sensitivity and taper my way up…"

His thoughts were interrupted however as a warmth tided over, dulling his sensations before slowly healing the wound entirely. "Well that's much appreciated. I'll have to learn that trick too." He'd offer an amicable thumb up to Sean while looking incredulously at his leg, still amazed at how quickly it'd been resolved. "And… you've been at this every day for nearly half a decade? My condolences…"

With the group having quickly come to a decision, they'd set off for town, bears in tow. Though not exactly the mightiest, Ru would attempt to pull the creature by its leg, his grunts sounding periodically as he'd try (and fail) to move the creature. "You'd think… for a game… they'd simply chop the creature up into hide, meat and bones… so we could pack it away… for storage…" The Lepis paused for a moment, looking at the others with an embarrassed expression. "Please tell me that isn't an option and I haven't been making a fool of myself for no reason..."

The battle was over and the day was won.

Whew, hehehe, that was sure hectic wasn't it. I was a little worried but all's well that end's well, hehe.

Sean listened as the others decided what to do next.

I agree wit Sean, let's take it back into town. I'm sure they'd appreciate it, hehe, and we can even show off a little bit.

Majolica winked at Ru Ning.

Hehe, what did I tell you. You can't think of it as a game.

Smiling, Majolica held out her hand and using her spirit magic summoned a few of her bi-pedal witch frog companions.

Here they can carry it, hehe. They might not look it by my frogs are pretty strong.

Nodding in silent agreement, the witch frogs walked over to the bear corpses and hoisted them up.

They can do a lot of other things too, like cook, clean, defend, and even attack a bit. But I typically do the attacking myself as I'm a lot more powerful, hehehe.

With the bears propped up and ready to go, Majolica began leading to the way to town.

Maybe when we get back to town we can try and find some information on the other former Witch-Ops, hehe. Who knows, we might even run into one of them there. With all the new people coming back to the world it's a real possibility, hehehe.

Majolica once again turned to Ru Ning.

So you're a spirit magic user too, huh? Hehehe, it's not really my main forte but I use it to summon my frog friends. Have you tried summoning anything with the magic? How do you use it? Hehe, I'm very curious about all types of magics you see. Hehehe...

As Bradwynne was moving towards where the scabbard had flew over, he heard what would be done with the carcasses. Yeah, bringing it to the city would be a really good decision: they could not possibly finish one of them all in a single meal. Moreover there were still threats of monsters and malevolent entities even in this starting area, so it should not hurt to be careful. They can enjoy the skewers, or any of those dishes using bear meat much more delicious than just skewers, when they do get back. Then he currently wondered, what would bear meat in form of a cheesesteak would taste like? He had only tried the much more tame options for it in this world since he had been locked in, but maybe he should try later.

As Bradwynne then found the scabbard, he then sheathed the ootachi, and then reattached it to his shoulder strap. He then moved towards the party and then said to them, "Well then, we had been roughed up from the battle, so what about..." He had not finished speaking when Sean spoke about training some divine began to heal all their wounds. As that familiar warmth bellowed upon him, as his joints which had tightened due to the bears' attacks loosened up, he then felt that Sean had gotten really strong. Just how many training and adventures had he participated all these years? As Bradwynne then tried to confirm for himself the healing worked by unleashing a barrage of punches and kicks, doing some sort of shadow boxing, he said, "Looks like you have also become really good in divine magic huh? Well maybe I should focus more on becoming the tank as I did last time. Hoping that Corvella smiles at me from the afterlife when I do that sort of thing, as I definitely do not want a shield bonking instead." He then laughed uncomfortably as he remembered that great figure of a tank which was currently a statue resided somewhere. He wanted to visit and see for himself what had happened to her, but he had a fear of statues, so he could not bring himself to go there. As the newcomer then remarked at how amazed he was that they had been doing this for nearly half a decade, Bradwynne then replied, "Well it had been a game for us at first, but it became a means of survival as we were then locked here. More tedious as well since we do not have any form of entertainment here that we took for granted in our past world. Well maybe that will change now and we can do a Netflix and chill... or whatever will be the equivalent here in this world... in the future, but for now we have many things to contend with, and this world had not known peace for a long time, so we should move forward and resolve anything first. So we can get back to admiring cute things on the Internet again."

Majolica then offered to have her frogs tackle the hard part of bringing the carcasses to the nearest town, so that was the hardest part completed for them at least. When she mentioned that they might find the other members of the Witch Ops there, Bradwynne then said, "Definitely. If the Grand Witch is here, maybe the other people are also here as well. Sure they might have decided to never touch this game again - I mean, only crazy people will desire to dabble in something that they knew is an illegal contraband, much worse a death game - but I dare think that we can get most of our people aboard. People might think they are too crazy, we are too crazy; yes, we indeed might be crazy, but we do care deeply for our friends, and we are crazy enough to sacrifice limb and life for them."

His hands steadying from the traumatic event of almost being mauled by a bear, Ru would half-heartedly give the Grand Witch a thumbs up indicating he understood. "Ahah… Perhaps there some truth lies in your words." The Lepis would pause however at her follow up, unsure of how to respond. Truth be told, it was too soon for him to develop a main forte. The lad had simply dove into the interface and selected the first skill he came across. After all, it would be rather unreasonable if the game had left him with no means of attacking from the second he entered… right? He'd hope so for now. It didn't seem to follow most conventions to begin with which wasn't reassuring.

"It might be a bit early to ask how I used it… I haven't even read the tool tips yet. The first option I came across was the one I picked…" He'd admit to his ignorance readily while awkwardly scratching the back of his head. "Perhaps some time to do research would be appropriate once we arrive in town." Voice a bit shaky still from the previous encounter, he'd watch with amusement as the frogs offloaded his extra luggage.

The trio then uneventfully proceeded to town. Upon arriving at the gates, His eyes widened with interest before turning back to the other three. "Ah… this is where we depart I suppose? What would be the best way to exchange contacts? Is there a friend's list so we can add each other?" Considering his lowly status, he wouldn't take any offense if they declined. Expecting this, he'd ask anyway though. After all, having more experienced colleagues to bounce questions to would prove rather helpful in the future. With the final details settled (feel free to add him… well those who can), he'd break way, off to begin his own exploration of the town.
