Yu walked over to Luthien, sitting quietly at a table, her arms still wrapped in bandages, with a couple of trays of food. He set one down in front of her, before sitting across from her. Honey ham and carrots, just as requested, with a cup of black tea that had been precariously placed on the edge of the tray, the only spot with any room for the cup. For him, just a chicken drum stick and a side of rice, with a cup green tea. Neither seemed to have much of an appetite at the moment, but they needed to keep their strength up for whatever came next.
"You okay?" the raven-haired man asked, not having had a proper chance to check in with the elf since she'd walked out of the medical tent. His clothes were still stained with blood. Mostly hers, he reckoned, though it was impossible to be certain. The whole relaxation tent had been soaked in blood after all. And it wasn't only afternoon.
The day's stress was wearing on Yu already, and the scouts hadn't even left camp yet. They were behind schedule. They needed to get behind the walls of the capital and back before nightfall, and yet, Yu had the distinct feeling that that wasn't going to happen. From what Yu knew, that was not an ideal situation for them.
