Thousand had come out to Zalra because from all he had overheard it was one of the few places one could be left alone and very few people bothered to head out this way. Yet be some bad hand or just his luck he kept running into people and things that delayed his only reason of playing to kill and harm things. Walking at a slower pace then ever as a small faerin child continued to ask for his help despite countless times telling them no. Apparently some cult people took their parents for some ritual and the kid wanted to go rescue them but needed help so they kept asking people that passed by.

"Come on mister, you said you wanted to get stronger, go beat up the cultist then!"

"I said no little shit, now leave me alone. I ain't got time to deal with some cultist I don't even know where to find."

"I keep saying I will lead you to them! I just can't fight on my own so I need help from fighters like you with swords and things like that!"

"I don't give, a damn kid. What part of that don't you get?"

Thousand's anger began to show as his hands rested on either one of his sword's hilts, ready to simply draw them and cut the lid to ribbons so he could be left alone. Yes it was harsh and dark, but Thousand had been saying no for the past thirty minutes and kept getting told reasons why not to, or pestered more. He wanted nothing to do with people in game, this was meant to be his escape from people since his whole life outside in the real world was dealing with them. Growling as he kept walking away from the kid who seemed to be catching onto this and adjusting where they stood as if leading Thousand where they wanted him to go at this point.

Exploring the world was definitely something that Fina wanted to do. But as she discovered, it was far from easy when alone. Perhaps she should have waited for Ruby, but the other feline has not been online in quite a while. Thus, the silver-maned cat decided to go north herself. Not without any research, of course. She read plenty about Zalra to ensure she wouldn't die in her first five minutes of being there.

As she finally entered the crystal-covered land, she would adequately bundle herself up in her heavy coat to ensure those pesky crystals would not get on her skin as much. She also covered her mouth and nose in a small light scarf. The only problem was that she didn't have any goggles, so hopefully, none of the stuff would get in her eyes.

As the crystal crackled under her feet, she would look around for any landmarks that she could use. It was then that she heard two people arguing. Intrigued, she did the thing that any sane MMO player would do - approach. It didn't sound like monsters, nor bandits, so perhaps she would actually see some friendly faces around here. That'd be nice.

Thousand noticed he was getting led around a little to late, growling somewhat when he heard a third set of footsteps he went from annoyed to angry as he spun to face both the child and the new comer. Could he not be left alone anywhere? Growling as the kid seemed to take notice of the new person and rushed over to them while Thousand's focus snapped to the sound of more footsteps. Sure he had likely worse hearing then the beast folk but was not getting talked to in the moment.

"Hi, Mind helping me free my parents from some cultist, edgy man over there refuses to help out..."

"Shut up! we got company."

Thousand barked out to the kid while drawing both swords and looking to the crystal rocks they had started to approach moments before a decent sized group of people dressed in robes with daggers emerged from behind them and caught focus rather quickly. The cultist pulling weapons to match Thousand who just growled more while the little kid Faerin got out a wand and seemed to be casting a spell on himself, thousand, and Fina who also got dragged into the mess.

Thousand wasted no time to simply rush the group of cultist to vent his anger some, he did plan to save some if it for the child who dragged him into the whole mess to begin with but that was, as said later. While some daggers he managed to block or stop while stabbing a cultist, other found a spot in Thousand as the player refused to buy better armor or even armor to begin with. But with damage done, the DA of the reckless player clicked on and Thousand's anger switched to a twisted grin and laugh.

There was not even any time to figure out what exactly was going on before the whole thing was interrupted by a large group of suspiciously dressed people. The fact that Fina wasn't even introduced to anyone present yet posed a problem in itself, as she wasn't exactly sure who was good and who was bad here. But then again, it wasn't hard to figure out that the cult-like folk with weapons at the ready probably didn't have the best of intentions.

At least the small fae tried to talk to the feline before chaos erupted. Not much was said, but the girl did catch something about parents being prisoners of a cult. It didn't take a genius to go from there and connect the dots. The other man even already dashed into the fray and started hacking away. Part of Fina wanted just to wait things out and see what would happen, but several of the cultists decided to split from the bigger group and head for the two girls.

"Willing to attack children as well, are we? I guess I should teach you a lesson or two, then!" Twirling in place, the feline would conjure up several astral weapons, all of them actually quite aesthetically attuned with the environment, almost looking as if they, too, had been made of small beautiful crystals. And as the cloaked men started getting close enough, she would grab those very weapons from the air and started slashing away.

The cultist did not seem very 'joyful' they had been losing so quickly to a smaller group of people. Not like Thousand cared much as when some tried to run away he ignored those trying to slow down pursuit ignoring the attacks they tried to use and rushing after them to cut them down all the while laughing and twirling his blades between his grips and turning back to the group that remained with a wide twisted smile. From a different view it looked more like the cultist needed protection from the lunatic that was Thousand.

"Come on no running, It makes no sense why would you run from less people just overwhelm them and stab them faster then they can stab you."

"Ok... That man is very dark..."

Thousand rolling his eyes at the little kids 'response' while he seemed to be casting another spell that far as Thousand cared did not matter. A dull yawn as this fight he found himself in was proving less and less difficult with the 'help' that was being provided. One part of him considered attacking the beast girl and the little kid, another thinking to tell them to stop helping or ruining his fun fight. But in the end he simply sighed and sheathed one blade to limit himself like so many other times before.

"One day I'll find a fight worth going all out on I guess... So far the only thing to warrant it was a giant ape-goat thing when I was still a rookie."

He was mostly mumbling to himself as he adjust his stance for the single sword and for a brief moment seemed like this was holding back extra and the previous was a smaller restrain. Either way the group of cultist was slowly falling apart and any that considered running would have to try and outrun the lunatic that was Thousand, and sticking around was about as likely a slaughter it seemed. Who had been the real monsters here?

Knocking out all of the cultists that decided to go after Fina and the kid felt pretty nice. Hopefully, the girl wouldn't develop some kind of thing for dishing out justice… that aside, looking at the boy fight and tear through the bigger group was certainly something. Perhaps even a bit too much for the feline herself. She quickly moved herself behind the child and covered their eyes with her hands to shield them from the carnage for a brief moment. "Y-yeah… he is…"

She was starting to wonder what she got herself into, but it was probably for the best… keeping this child alone with such a player would not end in anything good. Speaking of which, a few of the retreating cultists decided they could have another go at Fina and the small one to take them hostage, or maybe use them as meat shields against Thousand Swords. Something like that certainly would not fly.

"Get behind me, okay?" She whispered to the kid before she conjured up one single giant weapon instead of the previously smaller but numerous ones. It almost looked like a shield, but with numerous spikes at the front. None of them were actually all that sharp, as the girl didn't exactly want to kill her enemies, unlike the boy up ahead. But the weapon made quick work of anyone trying to attack her, leaving all but a few cultists groaning in pain on the crystal-covered ground.

Thousand hated people like the girl at times, mercy was not something you should show as it was also in a form weakness. Blade dragging out of a cultist as Thousand deiced to not go after the remaining one just yet, going over to each of the 'injured' left behind from Fina and finishing them off without much more then an annoyed growl as they tried to fight or hold one until the weapon was twisted and hidden from view his magic forming blades to rip them up internally to try and be less gruesome with the kid around.

"Mercy for anyone is weakness to the survivor, or fuel to come back stronger to ensure they don't do the same for you. The sooner you learn that the better."

"They are still people!"

"It's a kill or be killed situation, or you could end up worse then such, there are people who do things worse then killing such a maneing, raping, hell a few things kid.~"

Thousand spoke in the same cold tone as several blades manifested around him aiming at the cultist who looked ready to run and was now trying to do just that. How thousand saw it, if they got away they would be dealing with more cultist before they could recover, but he also needed least one alive to ask where to find the rest to keep his enjoyment going. So as he took aim it was clear Thousand had every plan to make this ONE cultist suffer until he got what he wanted out of them less someone acted before him.

Getting about ready to wrap this encounter up, Fina had lowered her guard when Thousand Swords suddenly got back to the two and started slaughtering the knocked-out cultists. "H-hey! What the—!" She didn't manage to stop him in time as none of the enemies the feline had defeated were now alive. Sure, they might have been landers, created by the game and nothing more than digital code… but it still pissed the girl off. She gritted her teeth and clenched her weapon a bit tighter. To do something like this, especially in front of a child was just repulsive.

In response, she had decided to take some action of her own. With only one cultist left alone, she would swiftly move up to him and conjure a small blade in her hand - a dagger of sorts. But instead of cutting the man, she flipped the weapon around and hit him square in the temple of his head with the backside of the hilt, knocking the cultist out with ease. "There. They're all done. If you want to find more, just follow the path of broken crystals they left behind as they walked here. No need for… torture."

As she said the last bit, she growled a bit, walking over to the child. All of this must have shaken the poor kid, yet they kept on healing to ensure the two players remained healthy. Squatting down, she would smile at the little one, extending one hand to pat them on the head. "Sorry this had to happen. Are you okay? Any wounds that need tending to? Open lacerations can be really dangerous in this place, you can't let any of the crystals get in!"

"Annoying, the both of you..."

His arcane weapons slowly vanishing as he would move to sit down to tend his wounds himself nearby where the cultist had come from. The kid looking to Fina with a smile before giving the air a few punches to show in a sense they had been mostly fine, sure a few cuts here and there from thrown daggers and such but for the most part nothing major that healing and recovery could not tend to. Though he did seem to keep his focus away from all the bodies.

"I'm fine miss... I just... did not expect, well this... I knew he had a screw or two loose like some other people who come here but... this is just cruel..."

Thousand simple scoffing hearing the words clearly directed about him. HE asked for help, this was what thousand did. He killed those that did not kill him first, to expect anything less game or otherwise was childish and stupid in his book. Hands looking over his sword and wiping it down more then tending his wounds it seemed as the man was not yet done getting his pounds of flesh and blood from the whole ordeal.

"If you don't like it the way we came SHOULD be safe, welcome to run away with your tails between your legs at any time."

"Why can't you ever be nice mister! Some of us feel bad when others die even if it was self defense!"

"That is what you call an idiot or worse, a sane person. In the end it does not matter how many you kill or if you feel bad for it. Just a giant black box to rot away for the good and bad so why let anything faze you if it all ends the same is my third code of life."

It appeared that they were at a bit of an impasse. The boy was mad and not very cooperative, while the child was shaken and upset. Fina herself wasn't exactly in the best of moods, and she recognized that trying to argue with Thousand would get them nowhere. She merely shook her head and sighed. "Our philosophies just do not match, you'll have to deal with that."

That aside, what exactly were they going to do now? Well, she had no idea about the boy, but she was ready to help the kid with his problem. From what she understood, his parents were captured by the cultists they had just beat up… and killed… somewhere. Turning around to face the little fae, the feline would squat down again with a smile. "Hey, do you know where they're holding your parents? I could *probably* track their hideout down by following what tracks they left behind, but just being led there would be much faster."

Her nose was very good, too. If it came down to it, the cultists definitely left behind a scent trail that would lead the girl straight to where they originated from. But she kinda preferred to not do that, it looked rather silly when she was walking around and sniffing the air like some tracking dog…

"Um, They had a little camp inside a cave a bit up the way... the leader is the scary one while the others well..."

The kid would look around the bodies for a moment in a sense hinting they all seemed about the same strength to the kid. Thousand rolling his eyes partly as he kept tending his own wounds and partly listening. He did not trust this kid, one main fact if he had all this information clearly he ran into them or 'escaped' from them and he doubted such was possible from what he had seen so far. But people did not like his little storm cloud of thoughts so he simply stood up and started going towards the direction needed.

"Well then you can focus on getting your parents free while I have my fun that can double as your distraction."

Thousand waved as he kept going off ahead of them. He had two reasons for going off ahead of them and the main one was not trusting the kid to be telling the full truth. The other was not exactly keen on sharing his fun with the girl who was trying to 'save' as many lives of fake people as possible. He knew what being a hero was from his real life, and it only ended with you becoming the villain if you lived long enough so he chose to just skip the middle step. Adjusting a bit more of the bandages he had set to make sure not as much blood would drip out as he wondered just how strong this 'boss' was or how many more there would be.

"Right, not many other places cultists could have a camp in this place. As for the scary one… at least he'll make for that much-wanted challenge for our buddy over there." She smiled a bit as she pointed to Thousand briefly. Of course, she had her own doubts about this whole thing, but they just managed to fairly easily defeat an entire bunch of cultists without even breaking a sweat. Even if they were marching straight into a trap, they could probably fight their way out of it. And the man did want a challenge, so he would at least get one.

The feline would walk with the child some distance behind Thousand, seeing how he wanted to remain ahead of them. If something were to happen, she was ready to protect the most vulnerable member of the group. She also just wanted to offer some words of encouragement. "Don't worry; we'll kick the asses of all these cultists and free everyone in that camp. But once we do that, you should try to head south to Falderen. It'll be much safer." Why would a whole family even be here, to begin with?

"You can say that for those of your kind maybe... but the Faerin either get treated poorly, kidnapped, or the sort there so it's if anything worse because more people doing those things there then here."

The child chimed back on the statement while moving his hair to show the pointed short ears that marked his race. Thousand sighing a bit at hearing even this world still had a sort of class or status atop the rich and poor norm he had seen so far. There was never a world that was entirely equal from creation to extinction it seemed chuckling a little as it just meant discord was common so violence among people was not uncommon so maybe he could get some mercenary or such type of work later when he felt he was strong enough for it.

"Looks like they are expecting company..."

His tone faint as he moved lower to the ground and shifted away from the open path leading to the cave mouth. Sure he was supposed to go in first but there was still a few things he had to take care of before that. Looking back to the other two as his grin seemed to return quickly while a few arcane blades danced into existence around him. It was time to get the show on the road as he moved right into view and casually started to walk towards the cult guards at the entrance giving a small bow while drawing his weapons.

"Hello gentleman or gentlewoman or whatever the fuck you wish to be called, The reaper needed a vacation so I'm cleaning house.~"

Chuckling a little bit as Thousand made the two guards trade a look of confusion and he rushed forward having his weapons spinning to make them follow him inside at a slower pace due to likely not having the Dynamism mastery like he did. If the others planned to follow they would have no issue at all with such as Thousand rushed down the cave paths having his arcane weapons make a racket and drag the cultist along for the chase. They just had to find the hostages and get them out, he got to have the fun of fighting.~

Well, the kid wasn't exactly wrong. Faerin were indeed subjected to slavery more than all the other races, at least as far as Fina knew, but that didn't mean he and his family would end up like that. "Perhaps, but if you know where to go, you can avoid such a thing. Eastern Brisshal, it's a location where the Starcalled come into this world. There is even a cozy town called Honeyhome. With so many Starcalled around, there is no way they wouldn't rush to help if you got into trouble with some unsavory people."

Thousand aside, players coming into Terrasphere were mostly good people. This world did feel very much like reality, and unless there were something wrong with a person, they generally wouldn't stand around watching someone get dragged away by slavers, nor would they want to hurt a faerin themselves - especially a child. Being in a place where many players gathered seemed like a pretty good choice for Landers, who wanted to avoid such a horrible fate.

That said, there indeed were players that fully submerged themselves in the idea that this was a game and they could do whatever they wanted, just like Thousand. The feline sighed as the man rushed off, alongside his speech. "Was that… supposed to be a cool line? Oh no, it was supposed to be a cool line, wasn't it…" She lamented a bit as she shook her head and glanced back at the kid. "Alright, let's head in after him. He'll clear the path, we look after your parents and the other prisoners, sound good?"

"Still think Mom and Dad won't agree to moving from here..."

The kid chimed back as he would follow shortly after Fina, not exactly sure what all 'cool line' was supposed to be or mean but rolling with it and trying to help search and find his family and the possible others held captive. Meanwhile deeper in and going a different way Thousand happily laughed as he began running backwards defending against his pursuers. Sure he could fight them as he gathered them but where was the fun in that?

"Come on, I'm just a lunatic with some nice weapons and no armor but your hitting me like children with toy swords right now Give me a little challenge.~"

Taunting words as he spun back around sending a arcane sword into a wall near another cultist to add him in the game of chase he was leading. One slip up and he would get outnumbered and even weak attacks would make him drop, or they could be leading him to the worst spot to fight a large number of them. Not like he cared for any of the matters as he was having a blast so far. Laughing as he would add another cultist to his game and found a little dead end.

Turning to face the group as they piled up some blocking his other route, Seemed he was going to fight this small group first then have to go the other paths to find more and keep them busy. Sure part of him hoped he was keeping the cultist away from the others to help them, the other wanted to fight more dangerous odds, and the last part growled how he ended up helping people even when he did not want to do that anymore.

OOC: Feel free to have foes approuch you, or just worry about finding the prisoners. The NPC will always try and find them either way and the Henchmen will only start to head for you if Thousand drops to zero. (could have him just avoid retal by not attacking but where is the fun in that. XD

Wait, the kid was worried that his parents wouldn't want to leave this place willingly? That severely complicated things, since it meant that they were likely indoctornated into the cult itself, rather than just being ordinary prisoners meant for sacrifices or whatever. That said, they could think of what to do when they would find them. For now, they had to explore this fairly large underground complex full of cultists. Thankfully Thousand made himself useful, drawing all of them toward him as he showcased his crazy mindset once again. For the time being, he also looked just fine, so Fina opted to search for the prisoners instead.

Of course, if it looked like the man was in trouble, she would quickly go to his side and help out. But as things stood right now, her physical prowess allowed her to dash through various hallways quickly while searching. She was even able to kick open any door that dared to oppose her, provided they were not made fully out of metal. But even then, one arcanamancy hammer would have probably done the trick. The only issue was that this place really was quite vast with twists and turns, making it rather time-consuming to navigate. At least the kid was helping as well.

Thousand grinned a bit more as he charged forward at the few that had chased him so far clearly not worried about the numbers or the risk. Weapons dancing around him as he cut into the henchmen and was cut by them only fueling his adrenaline rush. It was simply so much fun to have his life dangling by a thread, and so fun to know damn well any one mistake was going to be his life. That all said though he still felt the henchmen did not pose much of any threat as he yawned.

Standing on the other end of the dead end, he could go run and gather up more henchmen. He even heard the others approaching so he did not exactly NEED to go get them anymore but what broke him from hunting more prey was the sound of a weapon clattering to the ground followed by a body scrambling away. Turning to see the only cultist of the first group he chose to fight trying to beg for his life to fall on deaf ears. Why did people beg for life Thousand never understood it as death came for everyone eventually.

Moving to face them fully as several arcane swords would begin to slowly fall from the top of the cave and approach from the dead end. Boot kicking the dagger over to the cultist while thousand gave him a simple and clear expression. 'Die fighting, or die a coward.' He was not here to spare life, he was not the type to spare someone a fate they got stuck with. Sure he was the one who change fate here but no fun in sparing a life in his book.

It was probably for the best that Fina could not keep her eyes squarely on Thousand. His ruthless behaviour that did not take into consideration human (real or digital) life would not have won any favors with her. Something that he probably already understood well enough from observing her previous behaviour with the cultists above ground. She didn't care if that made her soft in someone else's eyes, she only cared about her own view on things, which she would act upon no matter what.

Instead of keeping an eye on the man, though, she was still running through the various corridors, her legs carrying her with ease, yet still she could not find the prisoners that the child was speaking of. Just how long would she have to keep running around for? It felt like this space was endless... perhaps there was some kind of magic involved here, actually messing around with time-space of the cultist base? They were insane enough batch to try something like that...

The last cultist either had a lot of fight still left in them, or Thousand had taken pity and allowed him to land a few extra attacks. In the end they fell like all the others as Thousand's fun would once more run out as he rolled his shoulders and looked over the torn up clothing and wounds below each cut. He was still weak, unable to simply overpower people to avoid needing to invest in armor and it was really starting to annoy him as he started to walk to the other hall the cultist had been guarding.

His mind mostly off the topic at hand as he sheathed both swords and tried to tend his wounds while he was walking to see what was worth standing watch over, a part of him hoping it was towards the boss room, the other feeling he might find the prisoners and the others would be against the boss. Fate did tend to slap him in the face with such things as he flinched from tightening some cloth to tightly around one arm and kept walking around.

Meanwhile, The small Faerin seemed to pick up on the energy, one might say of the girl and lightly tap her arm giving a smile as they looked around. They had been mostly out of breath trying to keep up with her, but still did all they could to help. Humming faintly to try and ease the mood or maybe make it worse they did not know. What they did convey with the glow in their eyes was simply 'If I have not given up don't go losing hope just yet ok?' or maybe the little one was misreading the message, but that was what they did to try and patch what they thought was the issue.

things were quickly getting tedious, but somehow, Fina felt that they were close. It seemed that the kid felt the same way, looking at him. Well, that was right before she opened up another door and found herself standing right next to Thousand, who seemed to be heading somewhere. "wha-" Did she just manage to circle around and find herself right back at the start where the man was fighting..? Probably, but something was different. Or rather, someone was different. "Oh good lord, you look like shit!"

For how much he boasted about his power, he sure was cut all to hell. There was no way he was okay looking like that. And, well, as much as he boasted about his power, it was obvious that he was far from sitting at the peak of what could be achieved in this game, else he wouldn't be in this state. Looking back behind her, Fina would search for the kid as she knew no healing spells of her own. "Hey, boy, where are you? Our friend here needs some help!" He probably wouldn't be happy about it, but it was better than having him die on them.
