Hey Terrasphere, many moons ago when 3.0 was announced, I told you guys that there would be a mandatory reset for ALL characters regardless of how much progress they have made in-character in exchange for dedication points.
After much thinking on the matter, I thought that was kind of a downer for a lot of you guys who've stuck with our little RP until now. As such, allow me to introduce 3.0 Extend, the new thing we're going to do instead of the previous reset.
Character Reset
- Character reset is now optional
- When you have reach the mastery and equipment cap on your character (all S'es), you may reset the character and gain a new status called Extend in your UI.
- In-character, Extend is a recognition that you are starting the New Game+
- Extend / New Game+ (NG+) is a direct reference to the end of the Szofrit arc where the UI mentioned that players have broken the ceiling and unlocked higher potentials now.
- Characters with the Extend status, gains a +5 bonus to all d100 (and burst) rolls, including attacks, defense, saves, and expertise, which can combine with any other modifiers.
- The in-character reset story event will premiere as planned, but with changes reflecting the optional part of the NG+ changes.
- Excess currencies may be converted to VP on a limited time banner that will appear every once in a blue moon.
- The going exchange rate* is:
- 100 MP = 1 VP
- 200 GP = 1 VP
- A custom title is available for purchase at 200 VP which allows you to forge a custom title exclusively for your character that can be swapped to in your account settings.
- Custom titles for OOC accounts are available for 100 VP.
- You may also put them into dedication cards, or save it all for the property system or your character post-reset.
- If you choose not to start NG+ and gain the Extend status, you will keep all of your current progress and continue as normal.
- In the future, if you would like to start NG+, you will simply spend the MP and GP 2.0 characters had to spend to acquire the Extend status.
- GP and MP value will be adjusted to remain the same between 2.0 and 3.0, however, note that it takes longer to cap out in 3.0 with the new higher ceiling.
- As a reward for sticking with us this far, ALL characters will be eligible for free reworks, including Death Affliction removal and re-selection (which requires retconning some parts of their story).
- This is especially important for characters that are currently UI-locked since TS IRL is getting a major expansion, and commiting to the UI-lock means possibly losing out on a lot of those IRL plots.
- Death and DA's also work differently in 3.0, as well.
- Decide how you want to proceed. You can work with me on story continuity for your character.
