"All the way to Zalra?" Amy halted once more as she heard that... She did not expect this comment. It was both confusing and unexpected. Why would Magnolia want to go all the way there? Was it just to accompany her? Or did lord Trevor need something of it perhaps?
Seeds of doubt and mistrust...
"Allow you? You can stay next to me for as long as you would like." Amy replied. She did not understand what Magnolia was implying with that statement. Amy was the one imposing on her, after all, not the other way around.
Then, mister Henry replied... Amy did not know what she expected from his...
"That would be wonderful. I will be in your care for a little while longer, then." Amy replied, deciding to leave mister Henry to his own business.
Except... The words mister Henry said next were not what Amy expected, which forced her to stop and turn to the general direction of mister Henry's...
So he really was stomping his feet? Amy was surprised that this was indeed the case... Although the rest of the explanation was a bit... Unexpected. Amy couldn't help wondering if Magnolia was serious or if she was joking... If it's the latter, then we both truly need to improve our joke-telling...
Gone for good... It was certainly nice to hear those words... It's not like Zalrea's threats were ever far from Amy's family, but at least they would be free of threats that consciously hunted them with this.
... They ended up never learning what that monster was trying to accomplish with its...
Amy was a bit confused at sir Henry's words initially, but as he continued talking, it became clear that Amy had misunderstood something.
The following loud noises were beyond Amy's understanding though... Well, mister Henry did shout, so something probably happened to him, but it was not...
Hanno did not notice that she wasn't burning just mana there... Perhaps it was for the best. Amy decided to not mention it.
"Alright, I will count on the two of you." What exactly was Ghast going to do about it was... Something that Amy couldn't really imagine.
Still, she stopped her magic and...
A pleasure to help me out, huh? It still feels awkward... But not in a bad way, I suppose. Amy thought to herself as she left the inn with Magnolia.
Going out early in the morning was certainly much more pleasant than Amy's arrival in Finweald the previous day. Very few Starcalled were around...
Hanno's lack of reaction in response to Ghast was worrisome, but they did not have time to waste, so Amy just kept on flying.
The yells were behind her, so Amy probably hadn't diverted from the course too much, which was a relief... It was certainly a blessing that there were so many reference...
Amy smiled as she heard Magnolia talk about Lord Trevor... It just didn't feel like it was a standard master-servant relationship. There seemed to be something special about it.
Granted, Amy didn't know much about master and servant relationships, as her attempts at working in Falderen either...
Amy wasn't quite sure of what was happening that made Hanno panic, but she saw the large magical locus quickly approaching them, and that was more than enough to make her heed his command and held on tightly to him and her cane as he started carrying her.
The impact came shortly after, the loud...
"Yes, it certainly is. It's just..." Amy faltered a bit... It's not like she was talking about a secret or anything, but it was still awkward to openly talk about it... Or perhaps what was awkward was that she had to actually say it, as all of her family understood this quite well... But perhaps...
The monster screamed... Was it working? Amy hoped it was, because she knew she couldn't keep this up for long before she ran out of stamina.
Then a new voice joined the fray... Amy recognized it. That was bad... Another monster was coming, and Amy had no idea of how she was supposed to handle...
Amy was still a bit awkward with hearing Magnolia say she would do anything within her reach to help her... It was too much kindness with nothing being offered in return.
It's not like she hadn't received kindness like that before though... She received a lot of it when she first met her...
[Thread made while assuming TS 3.0 enforced Original Sin is already live because Amy doesn't have enough gold to purchase it right now... Either way, I finally came up with an idea to play with using Keyless, so here we go..]
Amy was carefully walking forward. Her husband gently helping her...
"Well, I can relate to wanting to get things done shortly after waking up." Better to not waste too much time idling around when you don't know when you need to be on the move... "As long as it doesn't harm him or those close to him, of course." Amy gave out a faint smile. There must be a reason...
Amy wanted to scream back at the monster, to keep on shouting all her frustrations at it, but there was no time for that.
Suddenly, the flow of magic shifted. Suddenly, the thing was closer to her... It was terrifying. Was this how Amy's life was ending?
Except... It didn't end. The thing...
"Then those wrinkles are not worth worrying about." Amy concluded with a smile. She appreciated Magnolia easily dropping the suggestion.
"Oh, spell preparations...?" She wondered why those were required, especially in a supposedly safe place... But it was not her place to ask, "I suppose it...
Hanno returning the squeeze was reassuring... It was nice to have him here at least.
... Amy hoped Ghast was alright though. They would need to grab it back before they left.
... And now the monster was laughing. Laughing at Amy's request... She trembled. She trembled with rage at the...
Each second she stayed in this room disgusted Amy more... Each move of the thing in front of her... The fact her steps seemed to summon more of Zalrea's blessings only angered her more and more.
"Ironic indeed, that the eyes taken away by Zalrea are now being used for her sake." Amy replied...
