OOC & Characters

Introduction: You know who I am, so we'll skip that bit, yeah? My DMs on Discord and my inbox here on Terrasphere are both always open to roleplay requests or DMed content invites for parties, even when in the midst of running my own, given my zero impulse control. I enjoy, above anything else, impactful narratives with developing connections between characters both positive and negative. Please don't hesitate to reach out with ideas who might have, or just a request for me to hop in a thread with one of my characters. I am especially amenable to paying roles to push character development if any of my cavalcade of PCs are able to do so. I look forward to roleplaying with you all!

@Gwyn ap Herne is my storied Terrasphere veteran. While she's still the same old adrenaline junkie, she's an edge more distrustful and dangerous these days after being burned a few times in the past. However, she's a bleeding heart at the end of the day. She'll stick her neck out to defend other Travelers and will be taking up mentoring weaker Travelers given the reopening. She can't undo old tragedies. But maybe she can prevent new ones? Keep in mind, she's a rather serious character.

@Alastair Brass is a new face to Terrasphere. A well put together gentleman, he's looking to learn more about the game, it's history, and - most importantly - the people who play it willingly. He's a social butterfly and a support build, happy to assist, even if he can be rather sarcastic around fools on occasion. Adopt yourself a new support grandpa today!

Interests: Exploration, adventure, lore, monster hunts, questlines, social, and more are all good. It's the players and their characters that make them great! While I prefer discovering things and having developing character connections, don't hesitate to offer up an RP idea.
Non-interests: I dislike anything in the 'lol so random' sphere of things and interacting with shallow joke characters. Humor and silliness is fine so long as that's not all there is to someone or something. Straight combat slogs are okay in limited amounts or against dynamic enough of enemies.

Thread Length: No preference
Post Length: I generally write anywhere from 200 to 700 word replies because I have problems, but so long as I am given something to reply to? You're good at any word count!
Posting Pace: I can dependably reply a few times a week and, on good days, can tear through multiple replies in one day. Sometimes full threads, depending on length and muse.

  • In the Dust's Wake (Private.) Gwyn logs back in for the first time in four years and immediately sets out to find Kyupin Felnya near Vintergard, looking for their lost tames.
  • Return to the Land of Stars (Private.) Gwyn encounters Alonso Thorlion, having just logged in himself, and the new player Mighty Rumblehide in Solvale. Cue bonding over gnoll-bashing and muscle-having.
  • Joint Interests (Private. Faction.) Cessia, once the Royal Aide, summons Gwyn to talk about potentially joining the Adventurer's League outside Stokbon. It devolves almost immediately.
  • Reckless Missfire (Private.) Gwyn finds Bonnie Bonbon showing off her shootin' skills. Said skills are very clearly E-rank.
  • Cuts (Private. Irl.) Sabine meets up with Danielle, player of the famed bard Cain Darlite, before the game's return along Maine's rocky coastline.

  • Death Notification (Solo. Irl.) Sabine is revealed to be working with a group informing families about loves ones who died while playing Terrasphere. She is given a new message to deliver.

Kyupin Felnya. They've walked every step of the way from mentor and apprentice to friends to survivors to something more, always seeming to be just a step away from each other regardless.

Cain Darlite. An old ally and friend, with enough charisma to crack through Gwyn's isolationist tendencies, Cain is one of the only people she would trust nearing blindly. They've spent time together IRL during the lockout, but with the game back? Gwyn finds herself worrying after Cain and Danielle.

Alonso Thorlion. While never close, they have been allies at arms before. While she dislikes most who were given titles back in the early days of Astorea, Gwyn seems to trust Alonso's morals over others.

Seigi Lingling. A star who burned too bright, too high, too fast. Though they never interacted off the battlefield (besides a drinking contest neither remembers), Gwyn feels a sympathetic protection over such a close friend of Cain's. And a faint guilt over a tragedy that wasn't her own.

Mighty Rumblehide. As a new player with good instincts, Gwyn sees potential in the elf. Perhaps another Seigi could be avoided with more cautious teachers?

Astor Balthas. It's complicated. Gwyn has never fully forgiven the individuals that turned on the fort, having turned for themselves and not the Yladians. His claim to the throne never sat well with her, and his fame for slacking in combat didn't help. New information coming to light has made her more hesitant to approach with teeth bared.

Roland Rutledge. Oddly more complicated. Roland has gone from an appreciated ally to a pathetic drunk to a tolerable ally to a power-grabbing waste of space. Years have passed now, though, and the next face of the dervish is a mystery.

Magi Heart. One of Gwyn's least favorite people, but with the least heat attached. She's seen the girl kind and doe-eyed, calling herself a magical girl, and she's seen her mean and spiteful, tearing into Cain's bleeding heart. Honestly, she's never been sure who or what Magi Heart really is.

Alphabet Chocolate. A bizarre anomaly. An oddity. A unique... well, ABC's certainly something. Gwyn would be protective over such a clearly young kid, but the years have passed and even back then? ABC was a King Slayer. Props. If confusing as hell to listen to.

Seto Kurama. Mild dislike with no real thought behind it. Gwyn has barely crossed paths with the man, but knows well enough about the former Duke and fellow King Slayer. She doesn't trust politicians, and she definitely doesn't trust people who talk as much as he does.

Aalam Abungu. He did as asked. He didn't miss. While their morals may differ, Gwyn has a soft spot for the fellow archer she's seen grow different, but strong.

Ueno Mizuki. A recognized fellow hunter and free spirit. Having only crossed trails due to a mutual love of the hunt, Gwyn appreciates Mizuki's nature.

Lucia Mierz. A crossed path ages ago, Gwyn's memories barely connect the necromancer people talk about and the woman who'd danced about with Lemming and hit on her for an entire quest solid.

Aaron Marone. Gwyn's met all kinds before, but no one has fit the paladin trope quite as well. The man seems to have a good heart, though he may be a bit of a dweeb. She's less judgmental of that now. They could use more good hearts, even if they're just playing characters.

  • Starcalled Beacon B (Megathread. Faction.) Alastair is carted off to a recruitment and information "event" held by the Lion Arms in Honeyhome. It swings wildly from bizarre and humorous to rather grim.
  • Picturesque Masterpiece (Open.) Enjoying an idle day, Alastair happens upon Sol in the midst of artwork. He and Crimson Ruby join her for a messy, but lovely art collaboration.
  • Beginning of the Training Montage (Private.) Alastair joins Frey Elzeiros, Toko, and the twice kidnapped Caelia Etterni on the stereotypical wolf hunting quest.
