"Eat us in?" Magnolia asked, incredulous even if her voice didn't show.
@Marigold Diablo went for the bites, devouring their way into the enemy's base, making Magnolia watch while questioning the ways of the mage before her... But it seemed like the plan had worked just fine, with the group managing to slip into the building with ease, being unnoticed by the guards...
However, as the group continued to move deeper into the hideout, Marigold could feel her stomach twisting in aversion to what she had consumed... Her face lost color, and something seemed to prickle and pang her guts at every movement she had.
Why that was happening?
A careful glance at the wand would show the problem-- The wand was past expire date!
Oh no! The cheese was dangerous to consume, if that was the case!
< Marigold Diablo Quality Check: 33 - Complication! >
You have been affected by expired magical cheese. Instead of using a Mastery or an Expertise to make your cycle roll, you will either roll Fortitude or Will to make your cycle action. If you decides to endure it through Fortitude, you won't feel physically strained, but you will feel a strong lethargy. If you decide to endure it through Will, you will feel severly physically strained, but will keep going regardless because of you willpower. If your roll is below 60 this cycle, all your modifiers in the next cycle are negative rather than positive.
It didn't matter if the cheese was expired. The rest of the group had to continue with their search, and by having the Puzzle Map, things were supposed to be easier... Right..? Well, it was at first, because like the start of any puzzle, it seems like everything is going well until it is not.
Every turn of 'corner' turned into another hallway, that ended up in another hallway, and at some point the situation was somewhat questionable.
"This place shouldn't be this big." Magnolia pointed out to
@Amity, knowing that they were taking way too many hallways... Especially when it seemed like that they had sure passed through the same armor piece laying by a wall for the third time.
< Amity Quality Check: 39 - Complication! >
The Puzzle Map made the group end up in an unknown spot of the enemy's territory. You may continue to do your check as normal, however, if your Quality Check is below 60, the following cycle will be all rolled with Disadvantage, since you will not be able to guide the group properly with your Puzzle Map, making them even more Puzzled about the situation they are in.
Uncertain of their path, Magnolia decided to take the initiative of moving in the vanguard, using her shadow arts to move sneakily and quickly, trying to maintain her attention on potential traps that could be waiting for any intruder.
The good part of Magnolia's initiative was that she indeed managed to find a trap before her allies were caught by it. The bad part of it, however, was that Magnolia wasn't quick enough to avoid it, soon being entangled by magical chains that forced her arms against her sides by brute force, making her unable to move her arms with as much freedom as before.
"..." Magnolia took a deep breath, turning to the group while squirming slightly, opening her mouth to ask for a small help-
< Magnolia Quality Check: 38 - Complication! >
You managed to get yourself stuck enough to hinder your actions. You must use your Knack or Fitness instead of your cycle's roll to try and escape your bindings while doing your contribution for the cycle. If your Knack or Fitness Quality Check is below 60, your action attempt is ineffective to help your allies and you continue to be stuck, with the complication continuing to the next cycle.
Before Magnolia could free herself, however, footsteps approached
@Chrys.

"Hah hah hah, laughest of the greetings for you, hah hah hah." The cultist greeted with a monotone laugh, before their voice turned gravely serious. "I see you've brought the sacrifices already, and three of them even? But it is still too early for that, the demon is yet to be summoned..."
They watched the three ladies, one that seemed weakened, the other restrained, the latter... Uh? The latter seemed rather free, honestly.
Their eyes squinted, and it was strangely easy to know they were squinted, considering it was impossibly dark inside of his hood.

"Hey, that one may need some..." They paused, looking at Chrys again and leaning in. "Wait... You aren't the one who was tasked to capture sacrifices... Who are you?"
The maid remained quiet, side glancing at the man while waiting for his retort.
< Chrys Quality Check: 9 - Grave Complication! >
Your disguise is amazing, but it seems like that guy's instincts are even more amazing. You will need to convince him that you are part of the cult, and by that you must use either Knowledge or Presence in your cycle's roll. Knowledge implies you know well enough about the cult to show it off and prove you are truly part of it, Presence implies you are taking a more persuasive approach to try and convince him. Your roll plus the highest Quality Check between your allies must beat a DC 120, otherwise, another Grave Complication will occur.

You've been found! Now... What?
The group successfully sneaked past the guards, however, they were found by a cultist! Thankfully, the circumstances give the group a bit more of leeway to continue their pursuit... Will you...
- Pretend to be prisoners and arrester?
- Ambush the solo cultist?
- Make up another excuse?
- Something else?
Regardless of your choice, make one appropriate Quality Check along with it, that may be using either Mastery or Expertise. Remember, however, that your
action will have more value than your
roll.
