It had been a while certainly for Lucia, but upon getting back into it, it didn't take a long adjustment. Anyone who knew her knew that she was always more at home as Lucia then she was as her real self. Even just breathing the fresh air again was fulfilling but she knew she couldn't stay idle, not after missing so much already. Luna was likely already around and searching for her after all, Lucia wanted to make sure she finished her own work before she arrived.
The work itself wasn't anything complicated, but it was a system she'd been musing on while getting started on moving the girl into her house. During those moments of driving or shopping this system would usually always have some place in the back of her mind, taking notes in reality in an effort to achieve it in game. Her goal after all in TS remained the same as it had ever been, rise undead into becoming a power of their own, give them a future they can grasp with their own hands and make sure they have a suitable king or queen to take over so she could transition into her next project of immortality.
That one, while a lot more ambitious was unfortunately easier to achieve in her own mind, but there was no reason to rush it for now. She lacked an understanding of undead enough to achieve it without risks, there was no reason to rush and play with her own life. Instead she focused up on the task at hand.
All it took was the large table she usually had in her tent, usually filled with books or some other kind of silly decorative elements that had been swept clean after her return. All that remained now were carvings on the table's surface and various game boards from different games meant to represent the surrounding space around her camp. She did her best to capture her surroundings as best she could, there were boards that represented a great many terrains and other features that all culminated in a small esoteric recreation of a map.
Once everything was in place, with more carved lines connecting the boards and the table she let her rings take their place above the boards in accordance with her little design. The rings as always swiveled and ticked like a clock when she used magic, like a gyroscope they spun and turned while ticking and counting off time that passed and had yet to be thanks to her knowledge of astromancy. All that was left was the little investment from her that when lit created a small star at the center of the spinning rings lighting the boards with glyphs and filling the carvings with artifact light.
When everything was finally said and done, pieces moved across the game board on their own. Small black stones from chinese chess and Go representing small civilian skeleton groups coming and going across the board. Others moving through the camp were likewise all tracked on the board as well. The knights that hunted monsters and beasts out in the wild were represented through small pawns from western chess coming and going with kills and enemies that were represented through the white pieces of varying strengths but nothing in the area could cause anything as unique as a rook or knight let alone a king or queen to be present save for her own summons.
Each of her own had their own corresponding piece, as well as outsiders and insiders alike, it was a system she would use to better organize her undead and her territory.
It was a sight she marveled at, enjoying the hustle and bustle of the pieces she observed with a glass of wine in hand. Her demeanor just as charming and mellow as always, her posture regal and dignified as she enjoyed her work. It was just a little toy to help her, but it was something she'd been working on for a great deal of time. With Sylvannas and Mortimer completed, and Alice and Emerson still needing help she had a long list of things that still needed preparing considering she still had 2 more undead she needed to complete without so much as a template. There was work to be done, but she could only muse on the fact that that was half of the fun at this point.
