Becoming part of a pirate's crew was far from Ronja's expectations when she engaged in this game. Well, she wasn't exactly the most pirate-ish person one could meet. She wasn't particularly fond to go against the law, she didn't like to loot at people's expense, steal, or kill. She was just a girl wanting to live a virtual life to its fullest, to compensate for the lack of life she had in the real world.

Her eyes trailed to the horizon, leaning on the rails of the boat, lost in thoughts and muses about everything that happened so far and everything that could potentially happen in the future.

Falling into those thoughts eventually made her so distracted, that the only thing that snapped her out of it was a strong stomach grumble, that made her cheeks grow rosy as she looked around, hoping that no one had heard or seen it.

Slipping a sigh, not seeing anyone nearby, Ronja was quick to realize she had barely met anyone from the crew, and that included the chef that- for whatever reason- she never really talked to, despite eating their food a lot of times. Curiosity tingled her mind, and without thinking, she soon made her way down to the boat's kitchen, peeking her head into the place with the creaky sound of the wooden door echoing before she sheepishly greeted: "Hello..?"

Cooking up a storm in the kitchen of Charlotte's boat, having been made to join her friend's pirate crew, not that she'd really say no even if it was phrased more like a question than a command, Delice hummed and grinned. She was in her element here, with nobody bothering her and allowing her to cook and just relax, enjoying the way that the waves rocked the boat each time it crested one of them. The captain had definitely been onto something, when she'd made the decision to be a pirate and sail, rather than stay locked onto the land.

In the middle of a hearty and thick beef stew, something that would sit heavy in the belly and keep a bunch of sailors satisfied for hours of work, she was distracted by the sound of a wooden door creaking as it swung open slightly. Delice squeaked, turning towards it, before she sighed at the sight of a fellow girl. And even better, it was another small person, like herself. Another female Faerin on the crew? Maybe.

O-Oh, um, hello! You um, you must be a new member of the crew, hmm? I-I'm Delice! I handle a bunch of n-non combat stuff, such as looking after animals, cooking and cleaning, e-entertainment and managing our treasury...

Ronja held back a squeak from herself, startled for a brief moment when the other girl reacted abruptly to her appearance. "S-Sorry, Ronja should have knocked first-" She said, holding her chest and looking at the other girl with a concerned expression, that slowly turned into a curious one.

The other girl straight-up introduced herself, even explaining who she was and what she did on the ship. Honestly, that saved a lot of questions, and Ronja decided to return the kindness with a smile and an introduction of her own.

"Ronja is Ronja Bubblyfoot. She is... Uh... The head engineer, according to the Captain." She giggled quietly, not exactly sure what to make out of it. She was far from being an actual engineer, much less a head engineer, but she wouldn't argue with the Captain of all people.

"Ronja is mostly in charge of developing the ship and its design, and well... Trying to keep its shape good with maintenance... Granted it seems like you are part of it too, considering you clean it." Ronja tilted her head. "But to think you are chef around here. The Captain has some intriguing taste... One would expect a pirate ship to be filled with shady-looking individuals, but instead, there we have a very cute chef."

Was...was this girl talking in the third person? What was up with that? She'd never known anybody to do that kind of thing before! It was like something out of a video game or book or something. Didn't people in anime sometimes refer to themselves in the third person? Would it be rude of her to ask why Ronja was doing that? Would it make Ronja more comfortable if Delice herself referred to herself in the third person? Delice was inwardly an anxious mess with such questions circulating in her head.

Though that was before Ronja giggled and introduced herself as the head engineer, according to the captain. That sounded like Charlotte, giving somebody a job and title even if they weren't exactly qualified for it. Still, meeting the engineer was especially good fortune! Delice smiled widely. And then she blushed when Ronja called her cute.

O-Oh, I'm um, I-I'm not as cute as you though! You're s-so colorful!

She shuffled in place for a moment.

A-Actually, I was um...I was wondering if you could teach me some, y'know, magitech stuff? I-I can help you with fixing, building and maintaining everything if I had that kind of ability!

Ronja's smile widened with rosy cheeks when her compliment was returned. "Two cutes then? Ronja thinks it is the best conclusion." She said, cheerful about the outcome of the conversation, and then blinking surprised at the request.

To think someone would ask her to learn magitech, it was something the small Magia would never expect!

Her eyes retracted, clicking twice before she tilted her head. "Learning magitech, huh- Ronja would love to teach you what she knows!" She clasped her hands together. "Honestly, she still has a lot to learn at the deal of working with magitech, but teaching someone what she already knows is the perfect opportunity to learn more." Her eyes flickered as she perked up.

"You want to learn magitech only to maintain things? Or well... other stuff? Magitech is very good when mixing with other masteries, so if you could already have something in mind, we can know better what to do about it."

Well this girl certainly adapted quickly to being complimented, immediately just taking it in stride and announcing that both of them were cute. Delice wished she was able to have that kind of adaptability and confidence, she still felt like she'd been caught incredibly flat-footed by somebody coming into her kitchen and talking to her. That basically never happened unless she asked for somebody to help her deliver meals to everybody.

Apparently it was quite the novel and unique experience for a pirate ship to have it's own chef and for the crew to be able to eat cooked meals, rather than dried out rations and things like that? It certainly made Delice popular.

Maybe too popular.

The fact that Ronja was willing to teach her about magitech was amazing! Delice couldn't help but clap her hands and wiggle in place slightly, a blush coming up to her cheeks when she realized how childish and immature such an action would have seemed to an onlooker. When asked about learning just to maintain things, Delice looked down at her feet, shuffling in place slightly.

Oh, um, I don't think I really have anything that mixes well with Magitech, to be honest. I can't really see much overlap between magitech and alchemy, or beast arts.

Ronja couldn't help but grin bubbly at the sight of the girl clapping and wiggling. The excitement was big, and it was mutual as well because Ronja began fidgeting a long, doing small 'clank clanks' when her metal boots poked together at her wiggling.

"It is fine, Magitech is a bit broad, so most of the stuff can be used with it!" Ronja nodded, almost too eager before raising a finger. "For Magitech and Alchemy, Ronja usually put alchemicals in the devices of her magitech minions, allowing them to spread them by themselves. For example, using small robots to spray or letting out healing or poisonous alchemicals." She tried to explain, then beaming for another set of possibilities:

"Ronja also uses alchemy to create special materials for her magitech inventions. Unique metals and such, on top of being able to do some steampunk-esque automatons with alchemy to create the fueling." She opened her arms, to give an emphasis on how grand it all could be.

"... For Beast Arts... Now that's a good question." Ronja hummed, pondering for a moment and tilting her head. "Maybe making magitech gear specifically done for beasts? Like a magitech armor for a bear, or a dinosaur. A dinosaur with laser beams!" Her eyes sparkled.
