High Marches,
Familiar Ruins,
Morning?

What used to be there now had turned into a shadow of itself once they reached the very end of their journey. They couldn't speak for others once they were awaken in that eerie, broken-down classroom; Bitterness, sadness, and a strange mix of emotions rushing into them that was abnormal in every sense of the word clashed with them. The twins clutched their wooden hands onto their own bossoms, feeling the accelerated cores that now replaced the heartbeats they have heard moments ago, afraid to meet eyes one with the other, as if they were but strangers- More than one illusion broke down once the veil got removed and they were given a moment to process it.

Tock's first instinct was to run. Tick's to chase, putting them both in a mental stalemate, plagued by conflicting thoughts.

"Just go. Tick needs time to understand what happened."

Distance is perhaps the only thing that could keep their voices from bouncing back and forth between their heads, and Tock didn't hesitate as she stood up from the grass, and set herself to pursue the only person who could give an answer to this mess, the silver girl stretching a hand out to reach for the blonde's wrist. To stop her? To steady herself? Tock forgot to think about it, and instead acted.

"It wasn't a dream, right? Tock is not going crazy. That was you. Ra..?"

Her voice trembled. Never good with names nor faces. Everyone has an energy, a certain aroma. The Pinkette is foreboding. Tainted. Alien. The Hero? like lemon azaleas. Fresh. Friendly. Tock struggled against her own fragmented memory in search of that same smell, untainted by that accursed blight.

"...Raina? Raina."

"Raina!"

From being one step too close to tears, all the way back to a smile as the name rolled out seamlessly, with more confidence each time she did.

"I'll write it on my hand so I don't forget it, but first, can you walk with Tock for a little? I don't think there's any hall monitors around to stop us this time!"
