Personality
Ishtar is a whimsical creature, delighting in life experiences while seeking ways to sate her perpetual boredom. She can come across as a bit strange, her speech patterns often confusing to those who encounter her for the first time. Unabashedly outgoing with an easygoing demeanor and eccentric tastes, the world is one big party to her. At other times she can be cold and positively cruel, savoring the suffering of those who cross her. Some might even describe her as unhinged. She seems to clearly understand the limits of the individual. That personal power is nothing more than a means to an end and that delegating to others and uplifting them benefits her in the long run. To this end she manipulates the weak minded and targets Landers in particular.
Ishtar is quick to exploit the weaknesses of others, drawing them into her influence and inspiring loyalty through rewards and careful machinations. Everything is a performance to her, an opportunity to take what she wants and have fun doing it.
Unflinchingly hedonistic, she is prone to lounging in the buff out in the wilds and savoring the various pleasures of the world without restraint. Even so, she's careful to control herself when she needs to, as she is well aware that as long as there are people more powerful than her she will have to behave.
She has a strong connection to the world within Terrasphere and reacts strongly when it appears that someone might threaten the game and more importantly, her fun. She will intentionally target people who are playing the game to 'beat' it and the developers. Her hostility towards those people knows no end.
Positive: Brilliant, Flamboyant, Meticulous, Charismatic, Motherly, Shrewd

Background
Born into a middle-class family in American Suburbia, Linsday's life was one of constant arguments, fighting, and condescension. Her father, a businessman of some repute, was obsessed with breaking into the upper class of society. Originally his intentions were pure, but they became corrupted by greed and lust. Numerous divorces and painful fallings out shaped Attia's worldview and impressions on power and love. Even so, she kept her head down and worked hard in school despite her appearance resulting in the constant bullying of others and occasional abuse by her father.
Instead of resenting her bullies, Linsday admired them for being able to act with impunity within the framework of the rules and laws of society. She studied her aggressors, her father, and the world around her while desperately waiting for the time when she could gain independence. All the while her father, obsessed with status, forced her to engage in extracurricular activities that 'befitted a noble lady' such as art, singing, dance, and oratory.
Her performance during an oratorical event drew the attention of a few prominent individuals who wanted to see her grow as a motivational speaker. Overjoyed, her father threw her into work without heeding her wishes, and again, she took it as a lesson in power and freedom. She couldn't say no to her parent, because doing so would cause more harm than good. She wanted the freedom to do the same to others.
Over the years she eventually graduated high school and filed for independence from her father when she entered high school. Her meticulous collection of information about him, his activities, and his treatment of her, paired with money she quietly stashed away from working on the side as a public speaker was ultimately used against her father in a massive lawsuit. In short order she crushed her father, reducing him to a penniless wreck before disappearing.
Despite her success, she was bound by her body and her frailty and had to work through intermediaries in order to invest her money correctly. In the end she still didn't have the freedom she desired despite her wealth. That was when she discovered Terrasphere and finally found a place to experience a new life. She took her first dive into the game that would ultimately destroy her life...
In the wake of the time reversal, Attia/Linsday was subjected to unbelievable mental stress and anguish. The experience opened her up for the takeover of a 'creature' that insists it originates from within the system of Terrasphere. The cruel being took over her psyche and completely supplanted her, pushing Linsday to the corner of her mind as nothing more than a barely functional mote. After it discovered it could log out, it escaped Terrasphere and returned, creating a new appearance for itself and choosing a name based on Attia's memories and knowledge. "Ishtar".
The creature is hell bent on making the world more entertaining for it's own interests and seems to have no clear goal besides challenging the other Starcalled and instigating the Landers. Time will have to tell what Ishtar's true goals are.
