Shub-Niggurath. A Black Goat with a thousand young. A mythos being that towered above mere mortals, driving them insane merely by its close presence. That was the tale, anyhow. And it seemed that a Starcalled of some sort brought that little tale over from the real world to the game world of Terrasphere. At least that was how it seemed when Lucille started hearing rumours about a portion of Western Brisshal turning pitch black and people disappearing there. The wolf wasn't necessarily familiar with the original story, but she knew that there was always more to this game world than met the eye. And even if it didn't exist in this place at first, it might have existed now. If it did... well, that certainly seemed like a good place to draw dark powers from, no?

Calling Ginevra over, she awaited the other girl's arrive as she sat on a large, slightly discolored rock at the edge of the wast forest that was known as Western Brisshal. A place far more dangerous than its Eastern counterpart where most Starcalled would first arrive in this world. With a variety of creatures running amok there, it was understandable that novice players tended to avoid it while the more experienced adventurers still tried to remain cautious as they delved deeper in. But none of that seemed like it would warrant the rumours she had heard before.

Nay, the black forest surely did exist somewhere in there, and it must have been more than just some monsters killing or kidnapping a few unfortunate adventurers! She could feel the dark strings of fate tugging her there, the source of malevolence somewhere in the distance... and she there was no other thought than to try and subjugate it, draw power from it to grow ever-stronger! Alas, going in solo didn't seem like the best idea even to someone as hot-headed as Lucille. So she obediently waited for her fellow of darkness to show... no to mention that Ginevra would probably have quite a few choice words if the wolf did end up going in by herself and getting all of the darkness to herself.

It was fairly rare to actually get an invite from Lucille, of all people, Ginevra found. She wasn't exactly sure where they stood with one another, but there had been a bit of distance in recent days. Or weeks. Or months. Honestly it was quite hard to keep track of the amount of time that had passed. All she really knew was that she'd been called to meet the girl at a location and hadn't been given any real explanation as to why she was being called out to such a location in the first place.

Maybe Lucille wanted another duel where they could both go all out or something? It'd be nice to flex her powers without having to worry about collateral.

Spotting the dark wolf girl sitting on a rock, Ginevra smirked as she approached slowly, rolling her eyes as she looked at the forest. It didn't look like anything important or interesting was here, but then again, it wasn't like she really bothered to learn anything about the locations in this game. Just wandering was enough for her.

Ho there, Lucille. Why the heck did you call me out to the boonies like this? What's got your fur ruffled this time?

"So you've arrived!"

The wolf looked down at Ginevra, golden eyes scanning the approaching woman, as if those eyes were laid at an eternal adversary who commanded nothing short of sneering respect. It had indeed been a while since they last saw each other, but that hardly mattered to Lucille. Time was not strong enough to break bonds once formed, at least not for her, in her own mind. It was the same as when they had met months ago, just after meeting each other.

"Behold! The weeping woods behind me... I've gotten hold of reliable information that a cult occupies these woods!"

Narrowing her body and pressing her palms against the cold stone, the wolf girl leaped off the rock and landed on the grass-covered land right in front of Ginevra, their gaze once again meeting the moment she had stabilized herself and stood at her full height.

"A cult that worships a Dark God and receives its power as a reward for faith and sacrifices. Fufu, most interesting prospect~"
