Chako was... A bit unsure of how to take the hissing... Ruby didn't seem to be mad, so... Was that... Friendly hissing? Did that even make sense? Chako was a bit lost, but decided to not give that too much thought.

Either way, Chako giggled at the idea of Bluebird becoming a furious cockatrice. The idea sounded wild from what Chako knew of Bluebird, and even wilder when considering what Lisa knew of miss Mira, but it was still a hilarious idea nonetheless, "Well... She can probably still get on top of you with a piggyback ride! That should still count, miss Ruby!" Why was Ruby whispering? Chako didn't know, and in her excitement she ended up speaking up loudly instead of in a whisper anyways, but she did ponder if Ruby wanted to keep this like a secret from anyone who could overhear it... Chako couldn't understand why that would matter though, so she gave up on thinking on that too, as it didn't really matter much.

Then, Ruby started thinking about Chako's drawing... That actually made Chako nervous. She wasn't exactly against explaining the idea of Ruby's light shining upon her and she being able to reflect that light being how she was able to dance like she did now, but it was very embarrassing to say this kind of thing out loud.

She really didn't get it...? Chako thought as Ruby replied... Well, no way around it, "W-well, you see..." Chako started replying, but before she mustered the courage to explain any further, she was lifted off the ground and brought into a spinning hug.

Ruby's words brought a truly blissful smile to Chako's face... It was a much better reaction than she could have expected.

She continued leaning into the hug as Ruby made her request, "Please do. I actually wanted to give it to you the whole time!" As long as Ruby liked it, of course... Which she definitely seemed to.

Mmmmm... Now is probably a time as good as any, Chako thought while enjoying the hug for a bit longer, "Uhn... Miss Ruby, do you have some time after the festival? I... Wanted to talk about something later. Though it will be kinda late by the time I'm done with all my scheduled performances..." Lisa had already told her mom that she would be 'playing' until late at night today, so it's not like she would have any troubles staying up for too long, but she didn't know if miss Yuhan had this same luxury when considering she had to take care of Bao... Still, she didn't want to leave this for tomorrow. And she didn't want to apologize for this mess through late-night cellphone messages either, so she thought she would at least ask.

Ruby swayed her tails, humming happily at the idea. "Giving Birdie a piggyback ride? Hahaha, I don't think she would indulge me that much!" She laughed at the idea, but at the same time, she would truly enjoy it if it were to happen, which made her ears twitch and some purring to escape from her.

Her eyes lowered to lock on @Chako's when she admitted wanting to give the drawing to her since the start, but also, focused her attention on the matter of talking after the festival. Why did she sound so meek about it intrigued Ruby, but knowing the little girl, it was probably something that has been troubling her heart as of lately.

"Of coures I have some time for you later, precious!" She pinched Chako's cheek playfully, straightening her posture before speaking—

"I am the one that has borrowed you for way too long! Distracting you from your responsibilities of the day." She held the guilt, raising both of her hands in a surrendering gesture.

"Why wouldn't she?" Chako tilted her head. Bluebird did not seem like the kind of person who would think of it as too childish or anything like that... Was a piggyback ride even something that required indulging in the first place, actually?

Perhaps Chako's view on this was too different from most people's due to how she lived as Lisa, but she felt like there was nothing wrong with a piggyback ride.

That said, Ruby herself seemed to be quite pleased with the idea, so Chako really didn't get what was wrong with it.

Either way, Chako was flustered by the surprise pinch cheek and blushed a bit when called 'precious', "I-I uhn... Thank you?" She didn't know how to respond, but she was always happy to be complimented by Ruby.

"Y-you didn't distract me at all! I really had this free time available! The priests tried to arrange the volunteers' schedule in a way that would let us all have some time to enjoy the rest of the festival, s-s-so please don't feel bad about it at all, miss Ruby!" Last thing she wanted was to let Ruby feel guilty for something that she herself invited Ruby to.

"So uhn... I-I guess I'll see you later? I'm staying in an inn a bit far from the church and the main street, but it's a nice wooden cabin, and to get there you can go like..." Chako explained the general directions to get there, "You can ask the innkeeper or miss Lyra, his daughter, for me and you should be able to find my room! I'm actually in a bit of a big room that miss Fina is paying for, since she refused to let me help with the expenses and... You know her, right? She seemed to know you at least!" It would be really embarrassing if Ruby did not remember her at all...

"Ah, I haven't really seem miss Fina today though, so it should be just the two of us in the inn room." A bit of a shame, since it would have been nice to go to the festival with miss Fina too, but what couldn't be helped couldn't be helped.

"So uhn..." Chako hugged Ruby, "Thank you for spending time with me today, miss Ruby! You made this day even more special than it already was!

"My next performance is soon though, so I really need to go back now... Let's talk more later tonight!" Chako waved to Ruby as she went back to where her harp was.

Later, after Chako had finished all her performances for the night, she was quite tired as she arrived at the inn; though it was really fun to perform in what was like a mini-orchestra, and she thoroughly enjoyed being able to perform for lady Uene too.

But she really didn't like having Ruby go along with her lies like that. Especially with it all being so sudden, and causing her worry when mentioning her mom... I really have to apologize to her properly now!

So... After getting to her room, Chako put down her harp, sat down at the bed, and started rehearsing what she had to say in her mind while she waited for Ruby.
