Darkness was a snug fit for each of the walls in the church. It snuffed away all of the far sights, leaving only the near and confusing behind. There aren't any clues as to how far he had gone down after respawning, other than how his depth micrometer told him that he had somehow ended up deeper than the place in which he had died.

Askera had yet to get the taste of burnt toast out of his mouth.

He was sure that he was in a temple of some kind, but the purpose of the place eluded him. None of the statues were in a state to be recognized. None of the walls had markers leading in any direction, nor did they give light or geography. In essence, Askera Question was lost in every sense of the word. He shouldn't be thinking about that woman right now, though. He was sure that, if nobody else, she would be fine.

He had to worry about himself right now. The cavern he was in was completely unfamiliar, and he had no intentions of speaking out to find a friend-not when that which had caused his death may have still been above him. Askera Question took it upon himself to begin the long journey, carefully trekking his way through the unfamiliar with naught but his knowledge of geography to hopefully lead him upwards.

@Ashifili (Hey! I finally made this. If you wanted to continue as one of your characters, or even as not one of your characters, you're free to respond whenever. If not, just let me know and I'll probably open this up somehow.)
