Ah, no need to worry about that. I have a helmet on the side-bag on my bike. I... normally would only keep the one helmet with me but... well, I figured there might be a small chance that I would, y'know, have a guest today...

The redhead blushed at the thought and at calling herself out like that, that she'd expected that Akemi might actually accept an invitation if one was offered. She'd prepared for the best and worst possible outcomes. She had a few things planned out for if Akemi hadn't returned her feelings at all, but luckily she hadn't needed to enact them.

Ah yeah, don't worry about the table and stuff. They clean up after each customer anyway.

With that, she began to lead Akemi to her bike, where she would reach into a bag that was strapped and locked to the side, pulling out first a helmet for herself and then one for Akemi, helping the woman put it on if she needed any help with that, before climbing onto her bike.

Just sit behind me and wrap your arms around my waist. Sorry if the helmet isn't a good fit.

And once Akemi was on, they were off.

Akemi raised an eyebrow as Sarah admitted that she'd brought along an extra helmet in case this exact scenario occurred, but then chuckled.

Well, I'd say your precautions were justified then. And I appreciate that you were considerate enough to bring an extra helmet.

Even if Sarah had thought of the possibility of the two of them moving to another location Akemi would not have blamed her for forgetting to bring along an extra helmet. She chalked it up to Sarah being a lot more cautious and thorough than most people, which made sense given her job.

With the reassurance that they didn't need to worry about cleaning up the table behind them, Akemi would follow the redhead out of the establishment, casting one last look at the many shelves filled with books. It might be worth returning here another time... She was pulled out of her thoughts when Sarah offered her the second helmet. With a quick thanks, she took the helmet and tried it on before nodding and climbing onto the bike behind Sarah.

Don't worry about it, it fits well enough.

Admittedly the helmet was a tad uncomfortable, but it wasn't like Sarah could realistically have gotten a perfect fit for her given that it was their very first time meeting. Wrapping her arms around Sarah's waist she made sure she was in a secure position, although her grip tightened a little once Sarah actually started the engine. It felt a lot more exposed than a car, and a lot less safe than a bicycle. Still, she trusted Sarah.
