"You are welcome." Ruby said warmly, looking at her eyes and then down at their hands, letting out a chuckle when the more excited voice of the other girl sparkled. "Then it is a promise. We will see every inch of this world together." She said with twitching ears.

At Fina's request, Ruby looked at her for a moment, a bit surprised since it was rare for her to hear it as a question. Usually people just... Did it. But that didn't make Fina's wish any sillier or less valid.

Without voicing her answer, Ruby smiled faintly to Fina, letting go of her hands and getting close to the other girl before wrapping her arms around her in a gentle but firm embrace, perhaps somewhat protective. Fina's tears were something that pierced Ruby's heart in a way, and she hoped that she could do anything within her reach to never let Fina cry again. At least not on her watch.

"Yes!" So they were in agreement then! Hopefully, many exciting adventures would await them. Ones that ended in awe of the new world rather than some kind of disaster, too. The land offered by Terrasphere could still be quite dangerous, but if Ruby was a whistle, then Fina figured she was in capable hands.

Her ears twitched in excitement as she watched the other feline pause for a moment before their position changed a bit, and the two were closed in a hug. Even though this became a somewhat common occurrence since Fina met a few specific players here in Terrasphere, it still felt so rare and lovely. The silver-maned feline would indulge herself and wrap her arms around Ruby as well, squeezing her against her own body.

"I hope this isn't weird or something… doing this kind of thing with someone you only just met today." While her embrace might have been on the tighter side, she would naturally let Ruby back out as soon as she wanted. "I just… never got much skinship, I guess… so this feels really nice…"

Fina's hug was slightly tight, and Ruby made sure to return the sentiment by tightening her own hug in the same manner. She didn't mind if the other girl needed it, she did feel very warm too, so it was a pleasing feeling.

"This isn't weird," Ruby reassured, giving the girl a gentle rub on her back. "It is okay. Otherwise, I would be weird to allow you to do this, wouldn't it?" She shrugged slightly, not really letting Fina go. She wanted the other girl to release her when she felt like it, whenever whatever that was bothering her or made her want that hug was gone. Sometimes, someone else just being there was the only comfort someone needed for their problems.

"I'm not one to get much skinship either. The cons of living alone, I guess. I adventure by myself a lot too, though the latter is mostly my own choice." She admitted, turning her face to look at Fina. "I am not exactly the best with crowds, only when doing my art."

"Heh, I suppose so…" Perhaps it was okay to be weird, too. Maybe they both were. Fina was just glad that she could enjoy her time in the game like this. It truly did make all the past trouble seem like they were worth it in the end. But she did not want to keep Ruby in the hug for too long; things would surely start getting awkward eventually, even if she felt like she could stay like this forever. Slowly letting go, she would slide her hands over to just below Ruby's shoulders and make a bit of distance between them.

"I see. That means traveling with me will be a new experience as well, then?" She asked briefly. The reveal that Ruby wasn't someone who was all that well-versed in skinship almost came as a surprise. Or maybe it was just some intrusive thoughts… Fina's cheeks quickly went red as she imagined what would have happened if someone like Vina were here to hear that. Some obscene and lewd suggestion, no doubt. But then, maybe…

Looking away briefly, the feline's lips curled up a tad before she would ask something. "H-hey… if we're here to do things we would like to do but couldn't before… can I have a request..? I-it's nothing bad, I swear!" She figured that the way she appeared right now might have given the wrong impression, so she tried to curb that before anything would even be asked.

The hug softened for a moment, and slowly they parted it. Ruby swayed her tail, with her ears twitching when Fina returned a questioning that made Ruby pause and think about it.

"Well, I do travel with other explorers when the league call for expeditions. And I have my usual team, Ru Ning and Sol... But a long term one, and out of the league? I don't think so. I guess it is a new experience." Ruby admitted, something that would be an unique experience for sure. It was different to do an expedition for the league and doing your own exploration for fun with someone else.

"Large scale explorations are nerve wracking too. It is tough to interact with everyone." She said, embarrassed about being socially inept in these cases.

Fina's sudden sheepish behavior made Ruby tilt her head, puzzled and curious at the same time. "I doubt you will request anything bad." She said, showing a small smile. "What is it?" She asked, waiting patiently.

Hearing a little bit about how Ruby's adventures worked was fascinating. If it weren't for the constant danger every corner of this world could have, Fina would have probably considered joining the whistles herself. But for the time being, she preferred to remain completely independent of all the factions people seemed to be joining. After all, even the other feline herself admitted that large-scale events of that kind were nothing short of nerve-wracking.

But then came the time that Fina got her request out of herself. Looking to the floor, there was almost some steam coming off of her with how embarrassed she felt about asking this. "W-well… could I… lay down on your lap..?" Out in the physical world, where she lacked any kind of experience with romance or even more normal and basic human interactions, Bianca always found herself immersed in romance books and manga.

The act in itself seemed really lovely, but the fact that it could allow the other person also to apply head pats and other things made it even better. Of course, Ruby was now Fina's friend, not a lover. Thus, the silver-maned cat felt like she was committing a crime by asking this. That said, she really wanted to experience it!

Fina's eyes remained averted from Ruby's, and the girl leaned in curiosity, though now a bit worried. Maybe the request was going to be a big deal? Maybe she should have listened before agreeing.

Ruby's tail waved agitatedly, looking at Fina intently.

The request caught Ruby by surprise for a moment, with her ears flattening against her head while she could feel her cheeks warming for a moment. "A-Ah, hm." She cleared her throat, looking at Fina for a moment. Why that felt more embarrassing than a hug? It was much less contact intensive too, so it didn't make sense to stutter about it.

"If you want? Are you tired? Do you... want a specific position?" Ruby asked, still embarrassed but managing to keep her composture, following to adjust her sitting position to what Fina would elaborate, so she would be able to be as comfortable as possible for the other girl.

It was pretty evident from Ruby's reaction that the other girl was now also embarrassed. 'Good job, idiot. Now you've done it…' She admonished herself briefly in her own mind, but once the other feline continued and asked about what position Fina wanted, she calmed a little bit. "A-ah, um…" Scratching the back of her head, she inched a bit closer toward Ruby. "I, uh… I didn't actually know there were multiple poses? Just, you know… laying down on my side and having my head in your lap…"

She honestly felt like just apologizing and dropping the whole thing now, but since she was told to stop doing that before, she figured it couldn't hurt to go all the way with this. Once the red cat adjusted herself as she wanted, Fina would slowly lower herself, rest her body on the grass, and lay her head in Ruby's lap. It was soft. "It's nice." Her ears twitched a few times as she turned her head to the side a bit, looking up to see the other girl in the eyes.

Ruby looked at Fina a bit puzzled.

"I mean... there are a handful. Like you could lay down between my crossed legs, you could..." Ruby said, and when Fina voiced what she had in mind, the girl half opened her mouth when realizing something.

That was a romance manga trope, wasn't it? Ruby did read those, even if Japanese humor was a bit weird for her most of the time, it was still fun in a lot of ways... granted... wait? Did she ask her for it because of how Ruby looked like? That wouldn't be the first time someone mistake her for a Japanese. That was a bit awkward, she hoped that wasn't the case.

Shaking her head, Ruby pushed those silly thoughts aside. Nothing would be accomplished from it.

Instead, she simply waited Fina to lay down, adjusting once again to make her comfortable and looking at her. If there was any question in Ruby's mind, the girl's eyes meeting her's interrupted it.

"Nice? I am glad you like it. Make sure to give it a score and leave a comment as a feedback." Ruby chuckled, a bit timid but playful to ease any awkwardness.

Her eyes then hovered to see Fina's ear twitching, taking a moment before reaching for it, giving a gentle caress before starting to brush Fina's hair with her fingers.

It was good that Ruby was taking this well. "Hehe. Eleven out of ten, very comfy and warm with an even better view." She joked right back, smiling. Things went a full circle, it seemed. They met because Fina decided to take a short nap, only to be woken up by Ruby. Now she felt like she was ready to just close her eyes and drift away once again, but her pillow was far, far more comfortable than what she had before.

And when the hands reached for her ears before caressing them, it made everything even better. "Nyah-" Now they were even. However, Fina's little meow was much faster and not quite as audible. It sent shivers down her body, but the girl relaxed soon enough and even started purring instead. Her eyes closed against her will as even one of her hands slowly moved up to Ruby's thighs to gently hold onto it.

"No one has ever been so open with me… and kind… before I started playing. Thank you…" She almost murmured to herself as she remained in this blissful state, almost feeling like she was nothing more than a domesticated cat enjoying its worry-free life.

Ruby's cheeks grew rose at the mention of a better view. "Really? The view is great too." She retorted, continuing to caress the other girl's hair, ears and head, enjoying the sight of the girl that was nearly melting like a lazy cat, with the purr being very audible for Ruby's sensible hearing.

Was that why some people patted Ruby? That was oddly nice to do to a beastfolk.

When the meowing came out, Ruby smirked at her with a smug expression, but didn't comment on it to not break the mood, especially when Fina looked so peaceful on her lap. So warm, so soft... Why did she even trust Ruby enough for that?

As if Fina had heard the question from Ruby's mind, a response came and Ruby smiled, leaning in closer to her ear.

"You are welcome." She whispered. "Thank you as well, you shared a lot about yourself to me." Ruby said, feeling warm about the trust given to her.

"Do you plan to sleep?"

Perhaps being more open with others was the key to having more of these pleasant interactions with others—a key to forming more friendships. There would be people trying to take advantage of that, without a doubt. But their presence should not make one back away from trying to be genuine and caring.

Ruby's hands felt skilled, perhaps as a result of her blade work. It was very pleasant as her fingers sent small waves of comfort and pleasure down through the rest of Fina's body. "Mmm… I'm glad I did now." Even if she had the security blanket of anonymity here, revealing things about her real self still made her feel vulnerable. She only had to believe that the other feline would never abuse any of that information.

As for whether she could fall asleep… she certainly felt like she could, any moment event. "I wasn't planning to… but your hands are so nice… I feel like I could. But… I don't want to force you… to just sit here with me for so long…" She could only imagine how awkward it would be for Ruby if she had to log out or just leave, but had a sleeping Fina in her lap still.

Ruby could feel warmth in those words. She has never been too secretive about herself, and while she didn't go around handing out her real life information, her character's name was pretty much her artistic name. Even if it didn't matter much since she was a more... Niche figure... In the country, she was living.

"It is fine." Ruby said with a nod. "If there is any emergency, I can log off without dematerializing, and I will try to come back as soon as possible." She said, pondering for a moment and looking around. Eastern Brisshal was fairly safe after all, especially at that time of the day and region as well.

"At least I believe you could handle a danger in case I'm not here at the time... But if that's an issue, we could go back to a town and find an inn, it may be safer, but not as refreshing." Ruby said, twitching her ears. She personally preferred the outside world, but she also knew that having walls protecting them was more practical and convenient.

Fina smiled. It was an amusing concept, wasn't it? To just leave one's body in the world without control. It really did reinforce the idea that they were living two separate lives. "Hehe, I more meant that you could get bored, just sitting here with a sleeping girl in your lap." Time flew when in good company, but what good was that company if it was asleep?

"If something could wake me up, then I'm also confident I could drive it away." She affirmed the idea. Given their current location, that kind of thing really was of no issue. Unless the monsters learned how to give better headpats than Ruby. Which was very debatable.

"I wasn't even particularly sleepy after my nap before... but your lap is just... so comfy~" It really was an unwise idea - making herself so defenseless. But if Ruby was secretly a bad person this whole time, she would have probably already made her move. More importantly, Fina's mind really was drifting away to dreamland now.

Ruby rose her eyebrows, letting out a chuckle. Fina was a bit funny, she was bold enough to ask this sort of thing, but insecure enough to question herself most of the time.

"I have my ways to entertain myself, don't worry." Ruby said, opening her palm menu and releasing her liuqin from her inventory, making it lay on the grass next to her before she added: "Besides, it isn't as bad as you think." She squinted, playfully pinching her cheek just in the same way Fina had done to her before. A small revenge, because Ruby was just like that.

"So feel free to take your nap, I will be here." Ruby reassured, continuing to ruffle the girl's hair, at this point the caresses were automatic. and averting her eyes to look up to the sky.

"It is a nice day, I almost could take a nap myself." She said.

Opening one eye and seeing the unfamiliar music instrument be placed onto the grass somewhat amused Fina. "So I'm gonna get a lullaby as well~?" She joked around a bit. It was good to know that Ruby wouldn't just sit there and twiddle her thumbs the entire time, though. If they were lovers, then perhaps, but they certainly were not.

The weather really was lovely. Fina, however, did not hear the comment anymore. The moment she had closed her eyes again, it all hit her at once. The comfiness provided by Ruby, the warmth of the Sun in the skies, the gentle breeze that carried fresh air into her lungs. At such times, Terrasphere was almost like a dream, too beautiful to be woken up from.

It was a shame that the dream could sometimes be changed into a nightmare. Nothing good ever came without a cost, it seemed. But Fina lived in the now, and she was able to enjoy what she was given. Not only the sensations but the very fact that she could even do something like this with a person she had only just met. Devoid of friends in the physical world, he would come to cherish this above all.
