Personality
While a standard mold of an individual, Bjorn is just about the spitting image of a gentle giant. He is the sort of person to sit down and listen to another's problems, even if he cannot sort them out himself, offering a comfort hug in that time of need. The man keeps himself quite amicable with an even temper, rarely showing signs of intense anger and less prone to violence that what someone may think. In fact, he fancies himself a people person. So much so that he can talk a guy's ear off to the point mercy is no longer an option. It does make him out to be a bit scatterbrained, especially on subjects he holds interest in.
Although he takes caution in making sure others are comfortable, he does get ahead of himself. Taking that extra plate of food, with permission, pouring himself another glass of wine, and even that extended nap are all things he takes great enjoyment in. And he wonders why he's given interns that make him stay focused. While not an attention hog, Bjorn is quite prone to unleashing his deep, booming voice and turning into a dominant presence. At this point in his life he learned to just move with the flow of things.
In the world of Terrasphere, however, he is also prone to using his more fantastical experience as a way to be more dramatic with that voice of his like he's some god or something. Just let the old man live, no really, he'll wear himself out eventually.
Positive: Kind, Gentle, Considerate, Boisterous
Negative: Forgetful, Self-Indulgent, Loquacious
Background
Born as Magnar Tollefsen, he was raised in the municipality of Berlevåg in Norway. From an early age he took interest in the historical past and culture of his Nordic ancestors, his spare time taken up by deeper study of the subject. In truth there was not much to say about his upbringing otherwise. His parents instilled a sense of respect and kindness, something he grew to appreciate in full as time went on, and was a decent enough student. Magnar did catch on quick when it came to physical activity as well, though was more into the idea as he grew closer to adulthood.
He went off to university and majored in anthropology, with a minor in history as it was particularly relevant, managing to get a degree without too much issue. Late nights sucked though.
As for his adulthood interest in physical activity? Well, he actually trained for strongman competitions and managed to get into minor ones, but despite him being a perfect match for strength building he never did go any further. It just never panned out as he hoped, but still kept up with his workouts and training. Just to a bit lesser scale, as he managed to snag a job at a museum.
For a few decades he was simply lucky enough to do a job he loved. His cultural knowledge and interests, on top of a quite positive attitude, granted him the opportunity to study and lecture in other parts of northern Europe which he still does in the present. Though a prominent figure, Magnar was not someone who became or set off to be world famous. If anything he lived comfortably.
But the rumors surrounding one of those virtual reality games began to swing into his ears. At first he ignored them, never being the gamer sort, but after some time a curiosity welled up within him. People acted differently when inside of a game, even more so that this Terrasphere supposedly had realistic non-player characters. Magnar learned what a sick curiosity was. After talking with a student taking an interest in anthropology as well, he managed to snag a headset and the time to settle into the game.
Life was meant to be lived, right? And why not live it after obtaining that file zooming around the internet.
