"Hm."
"Is that a 'Yes you are totally right' hm, or a 'Yes Tock we are kindred spirits!' hm?"
Tock was quick to inquire, only to earn a scolding look from Tick, who raised a hand menacingly so, ready to bonk the puppet girl yet again. "Fine fine, no harassing the client." Tock took a sip to conclude her rambling.

The way Eva perceived herself as perfection was... Curious. Very curious, intriguing even! Tick watched the woman explain her reasoning, yet not elaborating onto the previous statement despite how interesting it seemed. A dissapointment, but not in her power to ask about it yet. The fact they were a piece of this 'something' on her search had the pair wiggle on their seats, with Tick giving her a singular wave and a devilish smirk akin to a 'oh, you!'

Eva's confusion however, it sits deeply upon her shoulders. Tick Tock giggled, the pair giving the exact same look, with the exact same wide-eyed grin plastered upon their features. "Oh, curious enough to ask that? Well we thought you had the answer already." Cryptic words spoken through an enigmatic tone, as Tock leaned over the table once Tick backed off, favouring the back rest of her chair instead. "Of course you are Tick Tock's mama. Who else but you to be Tick Tock's mama?"
"You are pretty."
"Smart!"
"Powerful!"
"Ambitious!"
"Cold!"
"Calculating!"
"Murderous!"
"Tick!"
"Tock!"

Silence after their crescendo, about ten seconds of it at least until they sighed. Despite having no need for air they did so, mimicking it to the best of their abilities.

"Mama, how is it universal that you are perfect when you are not? In Tick's eyes you are perfect just as the imperfect fleshling of now! Tick is smart, got an eye on you!" Suddently, Tick's left eyeball simply stretched out of her socket, extending far enough until it ended few inches away from Eva's face. From here it would be easy to see how artificial it truly is, and just like that it went straight back into Tick's eye as if nothing had happened. "Tick can see how eager, how curious, how fun you are. What makes you perfect in your own eyes and why is it bad for you?"
"She's the perfectest as is. Tock believes so. Mathematically speaking, her curves are perfect!"
"Hm, you may be onto something now..."
Tick agreed for once, a bit skeptical, the pair tilting just a bit to the side to give a better glance at Eva's waistline.
"But fleshlings aren't the most attractive. Good thing she's a magia undercover!"

"Of course you are Tick Tock's mama. Who else but you to be Tick Tock's mama?"

"If you two insisted that much, maybe I am your mother. We do share some likenesses..."
Deep in thought, she slowly trailed off, making it clear that the older woman didn't have a grasp of metaphor or humor. "... Though I still don't understand how and when I gave birth to a pair of daughters. Not sure I feel about this information, either."

"Mama, how is it universal that you are perfect when you are not?"

"Sometimes what's important is just what you perceive, daughter."

The woman explained simply. Fake it till you make it, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, and all of those sayings are actually the same; perception and relativity.

"She's the perfectest as is. Tock believes so. Mathematically speaking, her curves are perfect!"
The twins even leaned to the side to confirm that her curves were indeed perfect, as Shakira once said, the hips don't lie. "I've heard that one before," Eva commented on that one, sipping the tea until the cup was empty as the pair continued to inspect her. "Perfection is weakness; there's no way to improve on perfection, or to find something new of it. Death of all creativity."

"But fleshlings aren't the most attractive. Good thing she's a magia undercover!"

Ignoring the magia-human debacle, the woman put the empty cup on the nearest table, before looking at a magitech watch on her wrist. "Thirty minutes have passed, time does fly when we have nice tea," She nodded at Tock, appreciating the tea time. "I assume the both of you would be willing to assist your mother in her study of this efficient energy?"

The pair sagely nodded back at Eva. "Of course mama, you can do a DNA test if you would like to prove our relation." Tick chirped, despite that kind of technology not even existing. But that was the catch, of course. "As for how?" Tock added, shining eyes flashing back at the cold lady once she fell silent as the pair wrapped an arm over eachother's shoulder. "Well you see, there is this goose we heard about that brings children..." The puppet replied with pure conviction."Of course, Tock came out defective so Tick fixed her for you."
"Can you believe it mama? That silly mecha-goose gave Tock spare parts only."
Tick rolled her glassy eyes in pure annoyance. Seriously, that had to be the rudest way to bring someone over to life.

"I've heard that one before"
"Mama must be famous with mathematicians."
Tick winked, pulling a wide comical smile and freeze-framing her expression for a second to let Eva take notice of it. Or well, for as long as it took for Eva to notice her sense of humour before returning to her idle little (very wide) smile.

The answer over perfection, however... The way Eva categorized it as Death of all Creativity, had them both shiver as if chills ran down their spines, despite lacking in the bones department.

"Perfection is a great motivator. And Tock doesn't find those hyperbolas of yours any weak whatsoever!" She gestured on a serpentine manner to signify these curves. The math ones, obviously.

"Thirty minutes have passed, time does fly when we have nice tea,"
"Taking notes of this batch for future tea times with you, mama."
The moment to part ways came, as all good things come to an end and so does this act from their performance does, with the pair standing back up to their feet almost in unison, the phrase already a command for them to prepare for their ""mother""'s departure.
"I assume the both of you would be willing to assist your mother in her study of this efficient energy?"
"Only if Mama comes to visit more often to share some tea with Tick!"
She replied.
"And Tock!" The twin interrupted, with one finger pointed upwards.
"Write it down on your hand-" Tick feigned the act with an invisible pen, before pointing up to her temples. "If you don't trust your head: Tick and Tock will assure mama's happiness. Maybe we will get to see her smile. When's the last time that happened?" She spoke with visible nostalgia over her features. "Oh it's been so long. Maybe you never smiled and Tick had dreams about it only."

"Can you believe it mama? That silly mecha-goose gave Tock spare parts only."

Quickly bringing up her notebook, Eva made a few strokes and notes as Tick and Tock explained to her. "Never heard of it, but if there was a way to have a child and a half without mating and being pregnant, that's a very convenient one." Tapping her pen onto the notebook, she wondered, "I should get the birth certificates, or is it adoption papers?"

The twins then agreed to assist their mother in her research, provided that she spent more time with them.

"Only if Mama comes to visit more often to share some tea with Tick!"
"And Tock!"

"Of course, a mother should take care of their children,"
She promised. As a single parent, her responsibility was tough, but thankfully Tick and Tock were already old enough to care for themselves. Kids these grow so fast, don't they?

"Oh it's been so long. Maybe you never smiled and Tick had dreams about it only."
"I smile when it's necessary,"

But judging by how Tick addressed that matter, maybe she just actually wanted to see her mother's smile. "But I guess you two want to see it now?" Eva leaned forwards, before tilting her head to the side and then smiled. Insincere, but at the very least she tried. "There, I should take my leave then. Stay safe, daughters."

Turning back, the woman walked towards the front door and waved in a cool manner at both of the twins before leaving the store.
