Astramancy

She'd spent far longer in the menu creating her character than she'd ever imagined possible - detailing it right down to the final touches of how the hair fell down around her shoulders. Before she'd even entered the world itself, she'd found herself overwhelmed and amazed by the purely endless options that were presented before her - everything allowed her to create something, someone, that was anything but herself - and yet maintaining a portion of who she was.

Naka couldn't help but marvel at all of it, the simplicity and intricacy that was the system, and world, of TerraSphere. It was almost too much all at once - and as she had hit the accept button upon completing the character creation, she'd felt an almost elation at the entire experience. She'd spent what seemed like hours in the creator - and very well may have actually been hours - but she was more than happy with the final product, and image of herself that she knew would be as close to perfect as it could be. Human, like her. Something that was different from what she normally chose to play but somehow felt right. She'd forgone her standard appearances in favour of the long, blonde hair, keeping some of the minor touches that would still hint towards her nationality - but otherwise creating something that was...different.

As she'd hit the acceptance button, there had been a single moment where she'd felt content - that was, until she'd begun the free fall. She hadn't been prepared for it, and as she rocketed through the skies towards the ground below, she'd had a single moment of concern, of worry, about what would happen next. She'd heard the rumours - death in game, could be permanent - but she'd ignored those, assuming that meant that death was unlikely.

And yet here I am, hurtling through the air towards the ground! At least it's a thrilling start! She couldn't help herself as she laughed aloud - the sound likely lost as the air furled around her, carrying any noise she made away almost immediately.

When she did finally touch ground - far softer than she had expected, allowing her to crouch and roll away from the impact - she let out a yelp of excitement and pure joy. She'd finally made it into the world, a world where she'd been told that she could remake herself, remake who she was and forget about the world beyond. Sure, that message had been for someone else, but who cared? She was here now, and she was going to make the most of it.

Alright...middle of a forest, with nothing to start. This...this is an interesting start...oh wow. Are those my hands?!

She held the appendages up to inspect them closer, wondering at the realism of the entire experience. If she hadn't known better - hadn't spent the last while preparing for the entry into this game - she would have sworn this was the real world. It went far beyond any expectations she had, far beyond any sort of preparation she could have had.

This is...amazing...oh wow! This is amazing!
