It was the first time the young-looking boy appeared in the world of Terrasphere. With his deep blond hair shining in the sunlight, his artificial skin could feel the warmth through the treetops. Wait, treetops? So he was in a forest? It was the only answer for the child that clearly had never seen these trees in his life.

"Woooow! It's so cool!" He chimed, a broad smile stretching his cheeks. "Everything looks and feels so real!" He crouched to the ground to touch the grass. It tickled his skin slightly, making him laugh loudly. "Wow, even the grass feels so real! This is amazing! Look at this, Riku-"

Looking around, the boy began to frown. "I forgot, he's not here with me..." A soft sigh escaped his lips. There was no one he could see around him. Was he really alone in the world already?

"Hellooooo! Can anyone hear me?" He shouted, desperate for some form of living connection. "Someone has to be out here... It's spawn, for crying out loud!" But where could he find them, the people like him? Surely, there were others in this magical world... Right?

Yandere Magia meets friendly Magia

The plan was simple, return to the beginning region and begin dealing with those that would either hinder or oppose her Queen's claim to the throne. In this case the pest in Omega's eyes was a number of bandits that had been reported in the area trying to recruit new players for their little gangs. This would be fine, had they not been unaligned or chose to not align with the queen Vivian and as such would draw out the ruthless side of the Magia who slowly walked the forest looking for them.

Every so often the armored Magia would roll her shoulders, the metal wings drifting at the ready as she still tried to adjust to them and how they worked. it was during one of these times while the wings had been sent away from her back that she would feel a few arrows puncture or clink off the armor she had on. Slowly turning as the wings moved to guard and break the arrow that had managed to get into the armor to deal with later.

"Four bandits, report said there was more then such scouting party? Either way, worthless annoying cur... It is one thing to stand against Queen, it is another to do harm to her knight. This falls under self defense, right?~"

The twisted grin that came across the Magia's face as she ordered one of the wings to try and claim equal or more blood only to watch it fall to the ground just shy of the target. cursing the limited range of her weapon as she moved to get control again and used the other wing to defend against another volley of arrows. The sound of combat was likely going to draw focus of others, but hopefully equally as much good as there may be bad.

"Engage combat mode seven, four threats with mainly ranged weapons and daggers seen on belts. Wings will be busy on defense no doubt... To try out weapon here?"

Hand waving to get into her Inventory, slowly drawing out the scythe she had started to work on making. It was far from combat ready but in this case it was now or never to discover where the flaws had been in the weapon or if using it would even prove useful. Frame moving behind a tree to lessen damage to her wings as even she knew it was only a matter times it could take hits before it would need to be fixed or repaired. That said though she found her targets, and was going to end most and keep one to get information from.

His hearing wasn't perfect, but it was pretty good all points considered. So, when he heard combat taking place not far away from his position, he ran towards the sound, hoping to help. "Crap, I barely know how to cast illusions still..." He mumbled to himself, groaning at his own uselessness. Still, he tried some hand signals to make use of his magic... and a surprising result came about it.

"Huh...? Did I seriously cause that?" He stared in shock as one of the bandits went blind from his technique, attacking their brethren and unthinkingly stabbing them through the chest. Disbelief clouded his mind for a moment, before he turned to look at the other Magia they were currently fighting.

"Sorry to intrude! Mind if I help?"

It was already too late, and he knew that. A scout came at him, angry he'd caused the death of one of his own. With a shout and a slash, Kakao's arm was cut open. It was weirdly painful, as if it were a normal body. Black blood seeped from the injury, startling him even more than the bandits.

So this was what artificial wounds felt and looked like...

Omega would not turn to face the new arrival, wings moving to block more arrows as the armored one of the pair tried to attack once more only to fall short again and draw an annoyed growl. Placing the scythe back into her Inventory as she would get used to using the wings if it was the last thing she did during this trip away from her queen. It was more her own failures that gnawed at her mind but the fact a clear newbie was doing better at combat then she was.

"Recalibrate the wings, cut corners to enable extended reach, recode when fight is over to achieve these. For now move to close combat, range is not favored and nobody needing protection that matters here."

The inner cynical voice chimed as the Magia rushed forward to the two archer bandits forcing them to draw daggers and try to cut past the wings as they spun around Omega to protect her. She could easily tell they had started to take more damage then she would like, eventually they would start to need patch work repairs or full part changes but for now she was able to keep going. Hand moving to shift the wing to try and slash only to watch it be evaded and make her growl.

Eyes glowed with anger, the same hand that had waved moved to take off the eyepatch revealing the red eye as Omega would stop being nice over things. Well as nice anyways. Her wings would moved to her back, clicking into the shoulder blade plates they rested in normally while attaching along her arms to form wings akin to Falcon from the old movie that name evaded the girl at the moment. The difference was simply she was not a hero, and she was going to use them to rip and cut these idiots to ribbons once she got used to the way they worked.

Kakao didn't seem to care that the person showed no interest in him. He was already part of this fight, and he was going to help whether they liked it or not. He did another hand signal, but this one was different. This time, he took their sense of smell for a ride, causing them to smell smoke that wasn't there.

While one of the bandits ran around frantically, feeling a sense of heat around them as he kept up the illusion of fire, Kakao took a rock off the ground and threw it directly at the bandit's head. He missed- but the bandit ran straight into a tree head first, hard. They fell to the ground, unconscious.

"Well, that... Worked, I guess?"

He tried to call out to the woman. He wasn't sure if she was deaf or ignoring him, but it didn't matter. As one of the bandits was rushing at her, he yelled at the top of his lungs. "Watch out, lady!"

The woman probably didn't either want or need his help, but the bandit's blow never landed. Instead, the burly man's face contorted into a pained, defeated expression as he collapsed to his knees just in front of her. In the centre of his back, sparks of purple electricity danced on the surface of his charred skin where the dark matter orb projectile had punched through his spine.

A few feet behind her, Canen's fists glowed with whorls of marbled black ki. The two other player characters he had been observing from afar spread before him, along with the remaining bandit. Ambient arcane power surged like adrenaline at his every whim, its taste that of a tangy lemon on his tongue.

The bandits were NPC's – soulless, indiscriminate beings that could spell the end for any player who fell foul of them. Although Canen was a peaceful man by nature, he could just as easily bend his will to their destruction as he might have done to anyone else seeking to cause pain and misery in this place. Therefore, as he felt the other players' eyes gazing at him from afar, he had no qualms in interfering.

"Excuse the intrusion," he addressed the players at last. "But I felt you could use the help."

Yandere Magia meets friendly Magia and emo monk?
95 / 175

Taunting (taunt)

"Human behavior, irrational as always... offering assistance to one stranger but not the other. Willingness to seemingly kill even the most lifelike 'npc' will always be subject of confusion."

Omega's inner voices once more taking note of people doing odd things namely helping someone they did not even know. And while the man though his attack stopped at one had Omega not moved it would have claimed her wings, but instead took out the other scout who was still standing on the other side of her. Looking at the two people as she could only sigh knowing they would likely ask her why she was here or what she did to piss the bandits off or things like such.

"Thank. You. For. The. Assistance. Before. We. Talk. More. Other. Threats. Incoming. Cover. Advised."

The robotic voice coming more then the metal plate that slightly covered Omega's neck rather then her closed mouth while her magitech wings moved to form a shield against the incoming attacks of the other bandits who had been tailing the scouts. This group being a bit smarter to stay out of sight and attack form the tree line but made the mistake of attacking while Omega was looking as her mind crunched most the numbers she was given and rushed towards her attacks with a few arrows now stuck in the wings.

"Speed of arrow, trajectory, angle, estimated power to puncture wings..."

Wings spinning from Shield into a makeshift chain saw cutting down a few trees and forcing the four bandit arbalist to jump down to avoid going down with the tree and leaving one who reacted slowly with two wings cutting off parts and pieces as Omega felt nothing but satisfaction for avenging the damage to her first gift from her queen. She figured the others would likely not be able to handle many attacks so simply used her wings to keep the foes mostly focused on her using her taunt ability.

OOC: So with Auto monsters the default rule is if your damage total is double the DC to hit you can deal 2LP damage, if all members of thread agree this extra damage could go higher if you do per say 3x or even 4x etc but we can keep the baseline while moving forward to get a rough idea how auto monsters work if you two want. (Always more bandits to go hunting.~)

Other notes, if you need healing can do recovery, while normally I think you would still take retaliation damage until combat concludes for the sake of giving taunt some use if you all are in agreement it will allow recovery or buff actions to be done without retaliation to said person. Otherwise these guys gonna out hurt your recovery or maybe even heals.~

When more bandits arrived, the pain seemed to leave his body from the adrenaline. He was thankful to the newcomer to the fight and wanted to show his gratitude- but one of the bandits got a hit in before he could, knocking the boy to the ground with a grimace. It was at that moment the woman moved to taunt and take on the Bandit Arbalists herself.

"I'm not being useful at all! Think, Anzai. What would Ri-kun do?" His nephew had always been better at fighting than Kakao was in games. Surely he'd learned a thing or two that would help him here, right...?

Making another hand signal, he decided to try a reverse fire illusion. He chilled the air around the bandit that attacked him, and as he began to hug onto people for warmth, some of his allies threw him off them out of frustration. He took some damage from being flung to the ground. Kakao would call this a win!

Grinning ear to ear, he noticed his health bar was plummeting slowly but surely. "Crap, at this rate... I better take a rest soon... To let my health build back up..."

-30 retal damage

The interruption of additional bandit reinforcements conjured an odd blend of feelings for Canen. Fear blended with anger, annoyance danced with confusion. They all knew that the game's NPC's were automatons of death that lacked any hint of hesitation or humanity. Killing was second nature to them; but lacking the intellect or reasoning of a sentient being clearly meant they had no idea what they were getting into.

The gentle whisper of noise behind Canen alerted him in spite of the louder crackles of activity ahead. An iron-tipped arrow was already pointed at Kakao, who simply panted and stared into the eyes of death itself as if almost accepting his fate. The arrow fired as he gazed at it, but against the apparent laws of physics, the projectile bent and buried its studded head deep into the earth, taken off its course by one of Canen's dark matter orbs. The attackers' eyes moved their fixation from him towards the monk, a gaze that was not returned by the furious martial artist.

I could attack now, but this kid's looking pretty banged up. Get him sorted first, and hope the friendly automaton woman of death over there pitches in.

Without a word, Canen scooped up the boy, retreating ten yards back from Omega's position.

"Hey, can you keep us shielded for five seconds whilst I help the kid?" Canen's question wasn't really a request; he had already begun the healing process. It was much more of a 'heads up, please don't get us killed'.

Canen couldn't focus on both of them at once, but presumed with the woman's expertise, he wouldn't have to. Without a word, the monk raised his hand towards the boy now lay on his right side. A gentle, soothing wave of white and blue ensued, restoring some badly needed health to the kid, but it wasn't as effective as he had hoped. All the while, he could see the cyborg burning the candle at both ends with protective measures. It wouldn't be long before they were back up against it.

"Hang on, kid. Healing's not my strong point but I'll do what I can."

Rookie mistakes have been made.

Omega was a bit annoyed as the emo monk tried to give her orders. A heavy glare going towards them as her wings would move to form the shield anyways. it was the best chance they had to make it out of this rushed second combat if everyone was able to keep attacking. That said though as another arrow left a hole in the wing and a dagger cut part of it Omega was starting to doubt she could keep acting as the focus if they did not carry their own weight 'helping' not making it harder on her.

"Do. Not. Order. Me. Around. Only. Queen. Is. Allowed. To. Do. Such."

The robotic tone not exactly convaying the annoyence Omega had for the rookie, but as the wings would move and each take down a bandit while the Magia glared at the monk it was clear she was ready to turn on him if he tried to do such again. That said though she would move closer to them as the remaining bandits moved apart catching on that Omega could only control the wings so far, and they needed to stay roughly near each other to avoid heavy issues.

"Truely annoying. They said they here to help yet so far they only made things harder... That can't outrun the foes and letting them die or get captured would only make issues for myself of Queen later... I hate rookies that don't think before they act..."

OOC: Ok so the action you likely used Canen was recovery, sadly that only works on yourself. you would need a support mastery or one of the few alter mastery that give support actions. You also seem to be missing a PSL or play sheet link. On your banner at top of any threads you looking at should be a sword icon. you can select X amount of actions based on rank of your armor, then lock in and you can do the advanced actions you masteries gave use to. If not for needed to upkeep taunt so you guys can freely recover (based on our rule here) I'd use my heal action to show it.

The bandits were going to kill him. He was sure of it. He was going to die on his first day. Well, it was only a game as far as Kakao knew- but he also knew he'd be useless if he died at this moment. Taking a seat further away from the bandits, the boy started taking some deep breaths. His HP slowly began to refill a bit, before he'd get up and start moving around, tring to find the perfect distance spot to invade some bandit minds without getting himself killed.

When Kakao found a decent spot amongst the trees, he took another deep breath. He decided he'd make it look like he disappeared, then surprise the bandits once more with sensory overload or underload, depending on what felt usable at the time.

Right now, I'm useless... But this fight will make me stronger! I'll definitely be more helpful soon!
