Personality
Alice, on the surface, appears to be a perfectly well adjusted and cheery young lady. Bearing a soft smile, and a kind countenance, she appears to be quite approachable, and behaves as one would imagine a proper young lady would. Polite, kind, and quick to please.
The truth of the matter is that this is simply a mask donned when it is deemed appropriate. Incapable of processing her own emotions, Alice is almost completely without in private, mostly showing smalls of annoyance or calmer signals that might indicate she is enjoying herself. If one was not attuned to the small changes in her voice and countenance, they might swear she was an emotionless machine.
This is true to a point, in that Alice is exceedingly objective, willing to put aside any and all other thoughts until the completion of her 'mission', though just what her mission might be may very well be tied to those pesky emotions she cannot seem to understand.
Positive: Calm, Clever, Logical
Negative: Blunt, Single-Minded, Tactless
Background
Alice's entire life thus far has been in preparation of taking over her father's company, a well known, and popular electronics company. As a child, she was taught to play the violin, to sing, ballet. Later she was introduced to web design, and slowly taught to program. She was sent to a private school, and was afforded the best tutors money could buy. At home, her time was filled with extracurricular classes, be it mannerisms, how to cook, how to care for the business. Each and day, from the time she woke up, until the time she went to bed, was dedicated to her father and his company, meeting his expectations and exceeding them.
Until last year, when Alice's father died in car accident. Her mother, who had always taken a far more passive role in Alice's upbringing was not as eager to force her daughter into taking over her late husband's company. Slowly, the extra tutoring and extracurricular lessons tapered off (save her violin and singing classes, as Alice's mother had the sense her dear daughter truly did love those). Though she wasn't withdrawn from her private school, a huge portion of Alice's life had still changed. Lacking the former rigid structure forced upon her by her overbearing father, Alice found that, for the first time in her life, she had room to breathe.
This new freedom, this new time...Alice didn't know how to spend it. She didn't have friends to speak to, or 'go out' with, as she often heard others say. She had no interests outside of music, but she had little left to learn, and was not of the mind to create her own music. And so, most days, she simply stood by her mother, attending her as she went about her day.
Though grateful that her daughter was so kind as to think of her, it pained Alice's mother to watch her little girl follow her around aimlessly, with no goals of her own. Nothing that she enjoyed. In an attempt to remedy this, Alice's mother gifted her a VR headset on her 17th birthday, and a variety of games.
For the first time in her life, Alice had something she wanted to do for herself. Though she was awful at video games, they entertained her in ways that classes, and design, and business management never did. Her favorite games, role playing games, they let her live a life apart from her own. One where she could see different places, do different things, have friends. It was easier in a game than it was in real life.
It wasn't until a year and a half later that Alice was introduced to Terrasphere. A mysterious game she'd only heard of through a brief a commercial that had appeared as she cooked dinner with her mother, who had the news on. An email had appeared in her inbox less than an hour later, and intrigued, Alice entered Terrasphere.
