Unfolding the Unknown
"Waaa... Waaaah!"

Its eyes grew wide looking at @Ueno Mizuki, cowering for a moment before being tossed with all might at the Abominable, that was surprised to suddenly be disrupted by several Yetilings (and ice chunks) being used as projectiles at his direction, making him cast a severe glare at the wolf woman and the quick @Lady N that was from afar.

Though one of them, @Imoogi, simply used something non-living as a weapon, making the smaller Yeti look at her in awe at the skills and the maneuvering that was somewhat failed (yet still cool in a way).

When the Lodge finally halted, it idly slid randomly in the middle of the chaos.

"Jeez! What are these stupid white furballs think they are?!" Lala stomped the ground, glaring at Mary fiercely. "Again!"

"This didn't go well before, that big guy is clearly mad at us-"

"AGAIN!" Lala roared.

"I am not paid well enough for this..." Mary sighed, reloading the cannon once again.

The cannon soon exploded once again, clashing against the Abominable and making him stumble. With the cannon blast on his back, and the merciless hit on his already hurt knee from @Asher, it was the last drop for the Abominable to go into a full rage, forcing his path through and trampling onto everything to grab the lakelodge, lifting it off the ground and shaking it without holding back.

"WRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

Along with Lala's screams, the Yetilings similarly yelled as they were forcibly tossed into a bowling, colliding on each other when @Harper threw them together.

One of them slid, bumping on @Asher while somewhat dizzy, while another bumped on @Ueno Mizuki.

"Wah..." It shook its head.

"Waaaah! Waaaah!" The scared one said.

"Waaawawawawa!" The one closer to Imoogi flailed its arms, pointing at the lakelodge.

The Yetilings looked at each other for a moment, nodding before whistling, calling two other siblings into the skating field.

Each Yetiling approached a Starcalled, tugging them and staring at their papa with a mad expression. They had finally understood... Their papa wasn't being cool or fun, he was just being a big meanie!

ABOMINABLE, THE YETI

❰ 477 / 1500 ❱
❰ 8553 / 10000 ❱

Abominable & Yetilings Actions/Mechanics

Yetiling 3 collides with Abominable, slides to C5 colliding with Yetiling 5, Yetiling 3 slides to D5 bumping on @Asher, Yetiling 5 slides to C4 bumping on @Ueno Mizuki.

The Abominable moved from C7 to D8 > E9 > E1.

The Abominable grabs the Lakelodge and shakes it uncontrollably, dealing 315 damage to it. The Lakelodge can't move, and if the Abominable isn't moved away from it by the end of the cycle, it will deal double of damage to it.

The Yetilings REBELLED against their papa.

The Yetilings summoned more Yetilings on E5 and A9. Yetiling 8 moved to I9. Yetiling 2 moved to C3.

Those that did not position themselves yet, start on the Lakelodge by default and do not have time to react. They must roll 1d8 to randomly decide the direction they slide to (Check Special Mechanics), and then a 1d6 to decide how far they are tossed.

The Abominable's status is Normal.

No one can occupy the same zone as the Abominable.

The Abominable's DC is 120.

The Abominable's Taunt DC is equal to its current SP.

The Abominable's SP affects a few conditions it has:
  • Between 1500 and 1100 SP, it is Ultra Heavy, so it cannot be forcibly moved or repositioned in any way.
  • Between 1099 and 600 SP, it is Heavy, any forced movement or repositioning on it is reduced by 2 zones.
  • Between 599 and 1 SP, it is Normal, so it is affected by repositioning, including from Special Mechanics, normally.
  • At 0 SP, the Abominable becomes Vulnerable.

The Yetilings were charmed by @Ueno Mizuki and @Imoogi, they are now allied.

You may use a Bonus Action to skate with a Yetiling. While Skating with a Yetiling, you succeed at attempting any Maneuver instantly (Though you may still roll the Skill or Mastery Check, in case it is necessary to calculate a bonus).

You may also, optionally, acrobatically toss the Yetiling to double your damage. You will throw the Yetiling a number of zones equal to how many times you surpass the DC 30, dealing 50 extra flat damage for every zone sliding.

Lakelodge

Lakelodge hits the Abominable, dealing 215 damage, making it slide from D6 to C7.

The Lakelodge receives 315 damage, and is being held by the Abominable.

To fix the Lakelodge, you can use Healing or a Mastery Check of your choice. If you have Homebound (Construction) or Homebound (Invention) traits, you may roll the Healing or Mastery check with advantage.

[ 300/1000 ]

If the Lakelodge's HP reaches to 0, it breaks and all the ice skating activities will be postponed, and the Starcalled lose.

Special Mechanics

You may, with a Free Action, attempt one of the following Maneuvers per cycle:

Rush (Knack/Fitness DC 50). Similar to the normal Rush, except you aren't spending a Bonus Action for it. This does not stack with the default Rush Action. (Masteries that increase speed, such as Dynamism, Battle Spirits, and Martial Arts can either have their bonus added to the check, or roll the check with advantage. If you have Beastlord Blessing (Speed), You may roll with Advantage. These bonuses do not stack)

Spin (Knack DC 70).
You turn the zone you are in into a hazardous area for one cycle, and anyone that gets into your zone will be struck, receiving damage equal to your check + any offense roll you've done in the cycle. (Masteries that give acrobatic boosts, such as Aeromancy, Divine Magic, and Pierce Weapons can either have their bonus added to the check, or roll the check with advantage.)

Jump (Knack/Fitness DC 50).
You make an acrobatic jump, gaining a powerful momentum while using gravity in your favor. You increase your damage by the amount you've successfully rolled for one cycle. (Masteries that give acrobatic boosts, such as Aeromancy, Divine Magic, and Pierce Weapons can either have their bonus added to the check, or roll the check with advantage. If you have Aerialist, You may roll with Advantage. These bonuses do not stack)

Lift (Fitness DC 70).
You lift someone, being able to carry them with you and mutually boosting each other's abilities. Your Maneuver rolls are added to each other's damage rolls. (Masteries that gives strength or coordination boosts, such as Crush Weapons, Summon (Coordinate Action) can either have their bonus added to the check, or roll the check with advantage. If you have Beastlord Blessing (Strength) or Function Over Form (Strength) You may roll with Advantage. These bonuses do not stack)

If you fail to succeed in a check, you fall and receive damage equal to half of your rolled check, with Protect and Vulnerable modifiers applying.

With a Bonus Action, you may attempt the following special actions:

Pyromancy Mastery. You can melt an Ice Zone into a Water Zone. (Water Zone is a difficult terrain, that you can only leave with a DC 50 Fitness Check)

Hydromancy (Ice) Mastery. You can freeze a Water Zone into an Ice Zone.

Any Mastery. You can break an Ice Zone into a Water Zone, also creating Ice Chunks, that can be used as projectiles.

uMcpPAF.png
Ice is rather slippery, so whenever hitting a target, for every time you surpass their DC, they will slide by a zone (If the DC is 50 and you roll 100, they will slide 2 zones), depending on the position you are facing your target (if your target and you are at the same zone, you can choose the direction you are hitting them).

While sliding, if they end up colliding with someone else, both of them will slide in a random direction by half of the sliding distance before the collision + 1.

The random direction of the colliding units is determined by an 1d8.

If you have Push Action, you can slide your targets 1 extra zone. If you have Pull Action, you call slide them in the opposite direction you are facing.

Cycle 3 Rules

After throwing the yetiling clinging to her arm like a projectile Mizuki took a moment to take stock of the situation on the lake. Unsurprisingly all the Landers were staying well away from the chaos that had broken out, aside from the people staffing the lodge who apparently had enough stakes in this event that they'd stick around inside a boat that was being knocked about by an angry yeti. Why exactly the big one was being so aggressive and focused on the lodge she didn't know, but they had to protect the lodge before it was irreparably damaged.

The other Travelers appeared to be in agreement there, although Mizuki paused as she watched Harper try to rely on her almost supernatural strength as she usually did only for her lack of experience with skates to result in her falling over. The huntress actually winced as she watched her friend land on her ass. Hopefully, once this incident was over the tigress could get some more practice in.

You okay?

However, she didn't have much time to worry about Harper's situation. The yeti was clearly affected by the barrage of things being thrown at it, but instead of giving up and running away or facing its assailants it just charged the lodge and began to shake it as if trying to figure out what kind of present was hidden inside. Seriously, why was it so focused on the boat?

Feeling something soft bump against her Mizuki turned to face another yetiling, only to find that this one wasn't biting or hitting her, instead communicating with its siblings before indicating that it would help the Travelers stop the big yeti from destroying the lodge. It seemed like her crude attempt at persuasion had paid off: dealing with the big one was already enough of a hassle without the small ones getting in the way.

Grabbing the small yetiling Mizuki lifted it up so they were face to face, although unlike the last time, she was gentle enough that she didn't injure the furball. Now that they were united in their purpose she shouldn't be too rough with them. On top of that, since they were now helping out she'd have to give them something in return.

Bringing the yetiling close she'd rub her nose against the furball's as a friendly gesture, patting its fluffy head before turning it so it was facing its parent. With an open hand and splayed fingers, she gestured that they'd try to get the big yeti to stop attacking without hurting it, which was followed by Mizuki taking a deep breath and sending a Primal Aura signal to everyone on the lake (@Asher, @Harper, @Imoogi, @Lady N).

Don't harm, chase away.

Of course, whether the others would actually listen to her was another question entirely, but she'd do what she could. If they killed the big yeti she'd feel bad about telling the smaller ones to stop protecting their parent.

For now, though, she'd have to do her part. With the yetiling in position Mizuki would measure its weight, then toss it high up in the air, quickly lowering herself into a crouch with her hands pressed against the ice. Gathering her strength in her limbs she'd launch herself straight up, the force of the jump causing hairline cracks to appear in the ice underneath her feet.

In the air she'd fold up like a ball and spin, keeping track of the position of the yetiling which was now falling down to meet her. Once the two of them reached each other the huntress placed her hind paws against the yetiling, uncoiling herself like a steel spring which was finally released after being subjected to extreme pressure. Almost all of the force was sent into the yetiling, launching it towards its parent just like its sibling: unlike its sibling, however, Mizuki was taking care to not harm this one, pushing it with her feet rather than kicking it.

Some of the force also pushed Mizuki backwards, forcing the luna wolf to focus on landing on all fours several meters from where she'd jumped up. Her claws drew thick pale lines across the ice as she slid to a halt, her mismatched eyes watching her newfound ally fly through the air in an almost straight line.

Given that it was difficult to launch someone accurately with your feet Mizuki felt quite satisfied when she saw that the little yetiling hit its intended target, that being the big yeti's head. While the impact probably wouldn't hurt the hulking parent having your own child suddenly clinging to your face is distracting under the best of circumstances.

These little Yeti creatures were worst than children! And Asher would know considering how many younger siblings he had out there in the real world. He barely manages to shake one off and reorient himself toward the big guy when he feels a prickling against the back of his neck.

Turning, his eyes lock on Mizuki as the command pushed through with her aura overwhelms him. He tosses his head, his nostrils flaring as his own beast thinks, for a scant moment, of not listening, of being stubborn and difficult just because he can. But Asher hadn't wanted to fight these beings in the first place. Why not just get them off the ice and away from the lodge instead of harming them further?

Steam billows from his nostrils as he lifts a hand and salutes toward the Caenis. Quicker than before, and now more stable on the ice, he darts toward the big Yeti while calling out to the others.

Gonna grab his attention if I can! he shouts as the distance between him and the big papa closes meter by meter. Hey big guy! Eyes on me!

Taking the Yetiling that had become an ally. Chelsea would place it on her back and use her hair bits as rails to keep him balanced. She would fire a single N-Slicer to hold the giant yeti at bay. Then she turned to glare at the owners who just so happened to have literal cannons attached to the building.

"That monkey sure is interested in destroying your lodge... is there anything we don't know?!"

Her focus turned back towards the monster. Hopefully showing how its children were allied with them would dissuade the creature. A parent... her father would never fight his own daughter. She hated family infighting, monster or not. If it could be avoided she would do so.

And if not... she prepared her gear to get more serious. It was time to end this thing already. Hopefully, the few others here came to the same conclusion.

Regardless she was just about done here.

Confident, ready to kick Yeti butt. |

"Yeah, fine and dandy! Bum is still a bit sore though!"

She'd shoot out an answer to @Ueno Mizuki , giving her a thumbs-up. Physically she was very much alright, but emotionally? She couldn't deny that her ego was a bit bruised after a fall like that. So to say that she was eager to fix it at the Abominable's expense would be an understatement, the Tigress basically salivating at the mouth to lay her hands on it after her somewhat disappointing attempt earlier.

Mizuki's request via her Primal Aura did put a bit of a wrench in her plans, the Tigress visibly frowning. She really didn't want to have to hold herself back, but she also understood that given that the Yetilings were now very much on their side, hurting their pops too much would just be mean. Still, some tough love would do the big guy well.

"Alright Mizuki, but you owe me one proper bigfoot ass-kicking, you hear?!"

Noticing that @Asher had the Abominable's attention for now, she took her chance to get behind the beast, using the distance to gather momentum and speed before diving down shoulder-first into the back of the Abominable's knee, bring the beast to one knee before skating around it to arrive at its face. Standing in front of the Abominable, who was still struggling with the Yetiling on its face, the Santa-dressed tigress grinned.

"Hi."

Was all that left the beastkin's mouth before she jumped high into the air, managing to reach the monster's chest as she brought her knees close to her own chest, curling up like a spring like her wolf friend had done before.

Mizuki managed to kick a Yetiling far away? Coolio. Yet Harper wouldn't be in a good state of mind if she didn't at least try to one-up her comrades.

"AND GOOD RIDDANCE!"

Harper would spring out, thrusting both of her bladed feet at the Abominable's chest with all her body's strength as the beast flew back a feet or two from the impact, falling on its back and sliding away from the damaged lodge. Harper herself would manage to stick the landing this time, before striking a pose. "Haha, ain't I the be-Huh?!"

The beastkin would barely have time to boast before she heard something whining above her, and it was approaching fast. Harper would barely be able to catch the now-falling Yetiling Mizuki had thrown, settling the creature on the ground with a sigh before loudly fake coughing.

"Ahem. In any case, I hope you have a more solid plan than just "chase it away", Mizuki. After all, that thing could very well not feel like running, you know?"

Don't harm, chase away.

That was the suggestion, sure, but Imoogi wasn't sure how they could chase away Abominable without harming it. It didn't seem to stop everyone else from continuing to wail on the giant, though. That was probably fine, right?

Imoogi pulled a potion off her belt and knocked it back. It was a potent brew, one that filled her with enough energy that it was difficult just controlling her own movements. She gave the yetiling next to her a final pat on the head and a fanged grin, then put on a burst of speed-

-or well, she attempted to, only to land flat on her face instead. She got up, wiping the blood slowly leaking from her nose with a shaky hand and got back up. Well, that wasn't going to work, and now Abominable was right in her face!

She hissed, then grabbed another steaming potion. This time she chucked it directly at the Abominable, splashing burning potion across both the yeti and the ice it was standing on. It hissed and cracked as it ate its way through the ice, weakening the ice it was standing on. Hopefully it would crack under the yeti's weight.

And then, knowing that being directly in its face was a bad place to be, Imoogi skated away backwards, this time more smoothly than before.

"WaAaAaAaAaH!"

"WRWWAAAAAAHAHAH!"

"Wa-"

Chaos spreaded further into the battlefield as @Harper and @Ueno Mizuki used the small Yetilings as bowling balls to strike their meanie papa, with a sequence of colliding combo being the true nemesis of the giant Yeti, that was soon struck with one of his own kind on the face, turning him dizzy as he glared daggers at @Asher, who dared to snatch his attention as he was the most enraged!

"Waaaaaa~!"

The joyful chirp of the yetiling caught the Abominable's attention, that didn't have time to react to @Lady N's sudden approach and acrobatic strike, staggering him just as @Imoogi exploded her alchemical vials against him, that scorched his skin regardless of his fur.

"Wrrrrr..!"

"ONE MORE TIME!" Lala ordered

Another explosion, and a cannonball slammed against the carapace of the giant monstruosity, causing it to roar and finally lash out toward the one that had provoked it the most.

"WRRRROOAAAARRH!"

It leaped, going with both of its feet toward the beastfolk man, thundering a powerful stomp that used all of the weight of the Yeti as a mortal weapon, sending shards of ice at every direction as it hammered its chest and huffed with a brim glowing under the fur that covered its eyes.

The Abominable was preparing something...

ABOMINABLE, THE YETI

VULNERABLE

Abominable & Yetilings Actions/Mechanics

@Harper pulls Abominable to E5

Abominable collides with Yetiling 7 with 520 damage, Yetiling 7 slides and collides with Yetiling 2, Yetiling 7 slides away to A3, Yetiling 2 slides and collides with Abominable dealing 520 1040 damage + 100 flat damage. Yetiling 2 slides and collides with Yetiling 3, Yetiling 2 slides to F3, Yetiling 3 slides to D7.

The Abominable jumps high and stomps the ground, dealing a total of 102 damage.

90% of damage goes to @Asher (90 damage)
10% of damage goes to everyone adjacent to him, @Harper (12 damage)

Those that did not position themselves yet, start on the Lakelodge by default and do not have time to react. They must roll 1d8 to randomly decide the direction they slide to (Check Special Mechanics), and then a 1d6 to decide how far they are tossed.

The Abominable's status is Vulnerable.

  • Between 599 and 1 SP, it is Normal, so it is affected by repositioning, including from Special Mechanics, normally.
  • At 0 SP, the Abominable becomes Vulnerable.

The Yetilings were charmed by @Ueno Mizuki and @Imoogi.

Fumbling

Well, the yetilings seemed to be having fun. Mizuki was still more focused on keeping the big Abominable one from destroying the lodge, but watching the small fluffballs glide and fly across the frozen lake was still quite entertaining. As long as the little ones remained friendly Mizuki wouldn't have minded playing with them: it was unfortunate that their father didn't seem to be in the mood for negotiation, although being shot with a cannon would make even the friendliest of people be put out.

But the Abominable started this whole debacle, so they could hardly back off here. The luna wolf supported herself on all fours as she watched the Abominable also slide across the ice from all the Travelers who were trying to drive it away from the lodge which... was looking rather unstable by this point.

Can someone fix that thing before it falls apart on its own? Not much point to teaching the big one a lesson if we lose the base.

Her ears twitched as she tried to keep track of all the things moving around on the lake at the moment. The sound of skates carving thin lines in ice combined with the rougher sound of the yetilings made it difficult to make out specifics, but she knew at least where the nearest yetilings was. She herself wasn't really suited for fixing the lodge, because... well, she specialised in mimicking wolves, and wolves weren't known for building things.

Running across the ice she passed by the yetiling, picking it up with one hand and tossing it into the air so it could land on her back as she kept running on all fours. Quickly closing the distance to the Abominable she narrowed her mismatched eyes as she planned her next attack. So far she'd been aiming to bring the large yeti off balance so he was easier to handle, but now it looked like it was time to truly drive home that his hostile shenanigans weren't wanted on this winter day.

Jumping into the air she spun around and gently grabbed the yetiling, tossing it towards its father as she had done with its sibling. This time the yetiling was only the distraction as Mizuki herself aimed for her own target, the same leg she'd punched before. Now that she was no longer fighting all out she wouldn't want to actually break the Abominable's bones, but she could still send a message.

Unfortunately, whether she'd misjudged her own jump, or the angle of impact, the fact of the matter was that Mizuki's attack was off. Rather than a precise strike which would have left the yeti reeling her fist barely managed to get through the yeti's protective layer of fur, the luna wolf herself almost hitting the ground face first before she twisted herself to roll across the ice instead, claws scrabbling to regain purchase as she swore at herself.

GRRRR! (She shot a glare at @Harper.) There's no reason why he would fight to the death. We just need to keep beating him until he realises that fighting us is more trouble than it's worth.

Enjoying her journey into carpentry. -12 from Abominable.|

Harper watched on with a pleased smile as the chaos front their attacks unfolded against the Abominable, both it and his yetilings sliding around after the impact. That would show them. But still, her job wasn't quite done yet, as the Abominable clearly showed he was still willing to put up a fight. And even though Harper wasn't going to seriously hurt him at @Ueno Mizuki 's request, she was still planning to teach it a good lesson.

And this was the plan until she decided to turn to check upon the lodge. The place had very clearly seen much better days by this point, and even though Harper was positive they could defeat the yeti with not much further complications, doing that while keeping the lodge in one piece might prove itself a bit harder than expected.

"Ouch! Hope you're alright there Mizuki! And sure thing!"

Harper couldn't help but hide a small smirk at seeing the wolf huntress crash on the ice like she had before. At least she hadn't been the only one to struggle on the uneven ground. And though she was no carpenter, it wouldn't be her first time winging something in Terrasphere. Thus, sliding towards the lodge and giving the owner a quick thumbs-up, she would start her work.

Well, it was less fixing and more patching the holes the yeti had made into the lodge with whatever debris she could find and bend with her bare hands. It wasn't much, clearly, but it was still an improvement from where it was at the start. Besides, she didn't think the owners were in the position to complain about free help at this point, so she decided to just keep going at it.

It was rough, it was a bit sloppy and it was in certain ways ugly. But it was still good, honest work. And no one could fault her for that.

...Ow.

His entire body felt like one big bruise and if he did have thoughts about ice skating after all was said and done, they quickly left him. He'd be lucky if he'd be able to drag his bludgeoned body off the ice.

Still, he wipes his bloodied nose against the back of his hand and refocuses on the massive target in front of him. Concentrating with the warbling of the smaller yetiling in his ear was hard.

"Hey!" he barked, spinning and glaring at the fluffy creature. "Why don't you tell your pops to knock it off, huh?! Get him to leave. Tell him to go home to...I dunno. Where's your mom?" Frustration and pain spiral hand in hand as Asher shouts at the creature, unknowing if it could even understand him.

"Can't help with construction!" he calls out to the others before shaking his head. "But I can hold him for another round." He gulps. "I hope," he mutters under his breath before striking out with another punch.

Unfolding the Unknown
@Ueno Mizuki's strike was the first one to retaliate the Abominable's attempt to continue its destruction, followed by another huge explosion coming from the cannon of the Lakelodge, that sunk deep into the big yeti and sent it sliding away, hurting as it growled and shook its head, feeling weakened after so much pain.

However, the attack it charged had just finished, and in a fit of strength, the Abominable braced itself for a long jump, initially aiming for the big lodge, where @Harper was attempting a quick fix, only for @Asher to interrupt with his strike, calling all the attention on him.

Huffing, the yeti propelled itself upwards, before going straight down toward the minotaur Starcalled.

Upon falling against the frozen lake, the impact crashed the ice with a powerful shockwave, that sent enormous chunks of ice projectiles to every direction, flying horizontally directly toward random targets, crushing on them while others went straight upwards, gaining height before gravity did the job of making a shower of giant 'hails', that crushed people and Lakelodge alike.

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEK! MAAAARY, THROW THE ANCHOR, THROW THE ANCHOR!!!" Lala yelled.

"Ohmygod ohmygod ohmygod ohmyshit ohmygoddamnit--!"

The Lakelodge tilted, nearly falling into the lake like timber upon an axe, if it weren't for Lala and Mary's desperate efforts to keep it up, and if it wasn't for @Asher's sacrifice to keep the attention of the Abomination on him, while @Harper hurried for some fixing.

Raging and growling vigorously, the Abominable scared off even its spawnlings, that ducked behind the Starcalled, trembling in fear, and no more defiance.

"WRRRROOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAARRH!"

It roared, asserting its dominance... Until...

"Wrrrr..?"

Another big yeti approached, easily being distinguishable as a female. Her eyes couldn't be seen under the thick fur in front of its eyes, but it was easy to know that they were flaring with anger, especially when there was a tightening grip around a large wooden club it held dangerously.

"Woo... Woook woowa?"

The Abominable looked around, rubbing its neck.

"Wrrraah? Wrrraah! WRRRAAAH?!"

Abominablette waved its hands, gesturing at the poor Yetilings, and all the destruction that was being caused. Those with Beast Arts, Primal Aura trait or Translation Machine trait could vaguely understand the female yeti was questioning why its children were all hurt.

"Wooooooo...? Weerhm... Wooghm, wo-- WOOOOOOAAAH?!"

Abominable tried to give an excuse, but Abominablette gave no care for it, raising her club and giving the big yeti, not one, not two, but THREE big bonks- One on the toes, one on the butt, and one on the head, making the big yeti whimper and scream as it fled desperately.

"WRRRAAAAAAH! WRAH WRAAAAH!"

The Abominablette chased it away, leaving behind its children, that could only watch the scene unfold with a few lowly laughs and grunts between each other, while the chaotic lake finally quietened, even if the destruction of the aftermath remained.

"Arrf... Arff... For Rhiannon! These Yetis... They are PESTS. Look at what they did to my Lakelodge, I hate those--" Lala roared-

"Waa..?" The one behind @Asher tilted its head, looking at the faerin.

"Hate those-- Hate..." Lala stared at the fluffy creature for a moment, interrupting her words while trying to hold back a small smile. "... These are kinda cute when they aren't making a mess..."

"Should I kick these things out, boss?"

"Huh-! Ah, yes, I-!" Lala snapped back.

"Waaaaawhm..?" Another popped up, with pleading eyes behind @Harper.

"..." Lala paused, then peeking at the one next to @Ueno Mizuki, who approached briefly. "Ah-- Ahaha! N-Nevermind, Mary!" She said, picking up the Yetiling, squeezing it in a tight hug. "These things are adorable! And they may catch the fancy of some adventurers with exotic tastes..! Which means more profit, yes!" Lala buried her hand on the Yetiling's fur, patting it. "... And more cutes too-"

"Waaaaaaa~!" The squeezed Yetiling chirped joyfully.

Mizuki's glare only deepened when @Harper commented on her failed attack. The luna wolf might have appreciated the tigress's words if she was blind enough to not see that infuriating smirk. If it wasn't for the fact that the striped girl was doing as she asked and repairing the lodge to the best of her abilities she might have ended up saying something unpleasant in response.

As it was, she quickly shook herself and regained her stability, turning her attention towards the big yeti in time to watch him smash into the lake with all his weight, sending big chunks of ice flying in every direction as if some kind of winter-flavoured shrapnel bomb. Keeping her body low to the ground she curled her tail around herself as a shield, the furred limb growing bigger and the fur denser to effectively protect the rest of her body along with the yetiling she'd thrown earlier.

Looks like it won't be that easy.

She'd hoped that hitting the yeti a couple of times would convince him to try his luck elsewhere, but so far he seemed intent on escalating this situation. If it wasn't for the yetilings the huntress would already have retracted her statement about not hurting him, since sandbagging him wasn't working.

Returning her tail to its normal size she prepared herself to dash forward and attack the big yeti while he was prematurely declaring his dominance when the appearance of another yeti stopped her. This one seemed to be wholly focused on the Abominable, and she could tell this female specimen wasn't happy with him.

Keeping a safe distance she watched the exchange between the two, blinking as the female yeti chased the male yeti off after beating him repeatedly with her club.

Well... that happened.

With their enemy having fled from the lake the luna wolf pushed herself back onto her hind paws, a bit flummoxed by the rather abrupt ending to the fight. Looking down at the yetiling she'd been protecting she reached down and picked it up.

I still don't get why your father was attacking us.

The mother didn't seem to share the Abominable's aggression, so it must have been something personal to the male yeti. Maybe he considered this his territory? But this lake was usually frozen... After considering the question for some time she shrugged, walking over to where the lodge had come to rest. Her ears twitched as she caught the tail end of Lala's plan (@Chanlye).

We're going to have to return them to their parents at some point.

Looking around she sighed. Even with the Abominable gone the frozen lake now had several holes in it, not to mention all the ice shards lying around.

I guess we're also going to have to move to a different part of the lake if we want to keep enjoying the winter. I don't have any way of fixing this mess.
