Personality
In the real world, Iliana is more on the quiet and timid side. She is the kind that "speaks when spoken to" in both her home and when she's at school. Iliana has difficulty making friends and is constantly the target for bullies; though she hardly lets this affect her. Iliana is friendly to everyone no matter who they are or what they've done. She's very forgiving and holds those she has befriended very close to her heart.
In the game, Yuliya seems to flip a switch. Rather than being quiet, she's loud and eccentric. Yuliya becomes an entirely different person and overall has a more imaginative persona. She tends to be dramatic, proving just how much of a child she really is. Yuliya likes to think she's devious, "committing terrible acts of crime" (aka stealing candy or cookies/etc), is something she does for fun. She shows her enthusiasm more noticeably and doesn't hide her emotions. She's charming and courageous. Flashy, and playful. Yuliya is spontaneous and always make decisions at random, nothing can stop her plans!

Background
Iliana was born into the world as the firstborn of the Roussos, although she was not the first child in the house. Well before she had been born, the couple had given up on trying for a child and had adopted instead. This was how Ari had gotten caught up in Iliana's backstory.
Being raised, Iliana was treated the same way that Ari was. She was never a problem child as she learned to be a model daughter. To not cause trouble for her parents, although she still seemed to disappoint them. Whether it be a slip up in her grades, or simply a slip up of her tongue. This did enable her and Ari to grow close and bond over something. Which was exactly what they did, Ari sharing his love of video games to her.
That's why when Ari's friend ended their own life and Ari began to grow distant, it really affected Iliana. It was as if her only support had just up and disappeared from her life. When Ari himself attempted to end his life, Iliana had shut down completely for three weeks. She refused to eat or drink, to the point her parents forced it down her throat.
When Ari finally woke back up, Iliana had begged her parents to take her with them to the hospital. When they finally agreed, Iliana had thrown herself in her brother's arms. Sobbing, the whole time. Unfortunately he couldn't remember much about the time they had spent together. Which had affected her even more. By the time he went off to college, Iliana had no one. She was thrown into therapy and began to focus on her studies.
Entering sixth grade, everything changed even more so. Up till now she had enjoyed a relatively easy experience in school. But with everyone growing up, and her shy and quiet nature, on top of her expressionless tendencies of behavior she was bullied. This made it even more difficult to gain friends, as she was considered the "weird" one with the "dumb" brother.
However, this also enabled her to become friends with the one and only person who was nice to her in school. She very quickly became best friends with her, and they shared their interest and love for anime and video games. That when her best friend came across Terrasphere she had shared it with her. Up till now, one of their main games being VRChat, Iliana decided to try it out.
