Personality
In the mundane monotony of the real world, Morgan takes life one day at a time. She tends to just 'exist,' though she puts on a good front at work when she needs to interact with the general public for long periods of time. On occasion she'll hyper-fixate on some interest or another. She tends to cycle between a few different hobbies and throws herself headlong into something once it sparks her interest. She has terrible impulse control and is equally bad at holding herself accountable.
She had never before experienced a game so immersive as Terrasphere--no one had--and it was strange to consider treating the game more seriously than others. To adopt a persona, to treat this life as its own separate entity... Morgan was never much of a roleplayer. Viz, therefore, isn't too different from Morgan. The power of anonymity at least lets her feel more comfortable being closer her true self, as brash and uncooperative as that may lead her to be.
Positive: Clever, Secure, Honest
Negative: Moody, Impulsive, Rigid
Background
For someone pining away in the escapism of video games and fantasy, one would have been a fool not to experience the world of Terrasphere during its first iteration. One such fool, Morgan had a strained relationship with virtual reality from the first time she'd given it a try. The nausea and headaches were enough of a deterrent to keep her from going out of her way to purchase a whole gaming system that it seemed her body just wouldn't agree with. Besides, how was a high schooler supposed to get their hands on a VR setup when their family was struggling to keep the roof over their heads?
Morgan was out on her own in the world shortly after graduating, if for no other reason than necessity. She took on her first part-time job at 17 and has had her nose to the grindstone ever since, picking up shifts and plastering a smile on her face to scrape up tips while she and the other underpaid twenty-somethings griped about the horrible management under their breaths.
That lifestyle has been repeating for the past few years now, and desperation for change is a powerful motivator. This time, the buzz of Terrasphere's resurfacing was a call too loud to ignore. At the behest of one of her high school friends, Morgan allowed them to help her acclimate to VR gaming in hopes of trying the sensational title this time. It was a long process of relying on medications and regulating their game sessions to get over the motion sickness, but for the first time in a while Morgan was beyond excited to trying something new.
