Personality
Maria was the awkward little kid who sat on her corner to do her thing and bother no one, at least until you would reach out to her, in which case she would open up and prove to be quite talkative despite how quiet she is. Considerate, altruistic, and ready to make anyone's life in this plane of existence a little more bearable.
Quite crafty where she lacked in physical appeal, always putting others before herself, and in very few cases does she really say no to someone. It's easy to find the roots of her true self with people she's close to, who actually get to experience Maria's most open-ended side, as a passionate girl with very little self-control and strange tastes. A car with no brakes.
Tick Tock takes this concept further. It is not her ideal form, but the truest to herself there can be. She does as she wishes and works with no logic as basis, an unredeemable and fractured mind swayed by the most frivolous of suggestions or whimsical of thoughts. Incapable of distinguishing reality from fiction. Or perhaps the opposite: Viciously aware of it.
Positive: Creative, Enthusiastic, Playful, Ambitious, Providential, Humorous, Amiable.
Negative: Deceptive, Amoral, Childish, Sadistic, Indulgent, Muddle, Opportunistic, Fanatical.
Background
Uneventful yet all the more constant, endlessly spiraling without a start or end to it. Maria had been pampered through life, given love, affection, but most importantly, moreso than her parents, had to be Erika. Her twin sister.
None could understand her better than Erika, of course. Not even her own mother knew Maria like Erika did, and even to their parents the duo were undiscernable, as if they simply didn't belong to them in the first place. Through each stage of school they both went practically glued one with the other. Their most intimate secrets were known only to one and the other, and for the rest of their friends, Erika and Maria simply found the means to craft falsehoods to spread. A 'boy' they liked, a 'girl' they hated. Even their discussions were pre-planned by the pair, who simply didn't know better to socialize with others, and desperately tried to do so to no success.
To try and simply 'be' like they are with one another felt like the only answer, and for some time it worked the more they lied to eachother about it, but eventually, the twins grew bored. They decided to indulge in videogames, these were good for chit chatting, like a cup of tea to spice up their topics, games were a good outlet. It was their anchor to others, too.
Games of all sorts to spread their array, with even childish ones being a nice past-time for the pair. collecting porcelain dolls one of their favourites, that eventually lead them to figure out how to make their own, albeit crude. Dolls of their friends, of themselves, of their parents. Unfortunately, they didn't do good as gifts, and ended up abruptly with some of their most treasured friends̵͙͇̘͛̆h̸̩̊͊ḭ̵̆́-̴͔̱͍̾̓̈́M̵͔̓ą̴̩͚͌͑r̶ia's return home received no audience, no warmth welcome or cookies from mama. It didn't matter by then. She knew better than anyone how to reach the second floor of her house, how the window was broken and papa never noticed the fresh air coming in.
The VR headset was all she had her mind in, long the code to Terrasphere been scanned after having exchanged it with Erika's what felt like an eternity ago, the lucky one to get her hands on it by mere chance. Bittersweet memories that they left on the dust, now brought them back together.
She left not a trace after her unceremonious entrance and departure that went unbeknownst to all sides.
