Personality

Tetsu, as what Tetsunosuke was referred to by his friends and loyal customers, had that common characteristic that would describe a typical blacksmith: that of the great hard work that he would always pour in his crafts and the mysticism of how he pulled his ideas for his crafts off. Both in his shed as a blacksmith and in battle as a magitech engineer he would always exhibit the exemplary conduct that befit a follower, and he was quite severe in his loyalty for his customers or his group leaders, that he pursues mercilessly any and all of those who stray from rules and orders.

Positive: Hardworking, Intelligent, Loyal, Meticulous
Negative: Blunt, Conformist, High-handed, Moody

Background

Michel was born in France of an American father and a French mother, both of affluent families. But he found himself only being raised by his mother as the two divorced and the father flew back to his family in Pittsburgh. Michel went on with his life as a hardworking student, and by 18 he aspired for a post in the Gendarmerie Nationale and so entered military service as a cadet officer in the military academy. By 22 his achievements were enough such that he was assigned to the GIGN, but because of numerous blunders he was dismissed from the service. To turn a new leaf, he flew to Japan to pursue a job offer that was given by a family friend. That time, he was interested in a VR game that was in development, and due to favorable responses by the beta-testers, he tried the game as it was released. He did not know that the game would change him a lot: In one case he was unlucky that he was one of those embroiled in the Sword Art Online controversy. But in the other case, when he was finally released from the game, after some months of rehabilitation, he decided to be a blacksmith in the real world, which really started the turn of events for the good for him.

He first picked up his trade by being trained by one of the few remaining blacksmiths in Japan, where he finished taking up the whole art of katana smithing after making his own and being approved my his master in quite a short time. He then decided to fly to America, where a great market for steel could be found, and in Pittsburgh started to be trained to forge swords and other weapons of the Western world for re-enactors of medieval life. That venture proved to be successful, and Michel found himself the purveyor of high-quality weapons and mock weapons for such renaissance fairs. In his ventures he became re-united with his father, who took him in, admiring his hard work. The former small smithy became a large one with Michel training the new employees as well as being a manager of one of his father's ventures, but having a more laid-back lifestyle as he put more time into playing VR games than before.

Michel had once received an e-mail inviting him to play the game Terrasphere, but he merely glossed it over, once briefly playing it, but as more orders piled at the shop that time, and so he mostly forgot that account. As Michel's condition went for the better in the passing of time, he remembered the game again, and so after deleting the old account, the character Tetsunosuke came into being in the world of Terrasphere. But as if the game was mocking him for his assumed indecisiveness, he was then forcibly logged out of the game while he was making huge progress in designing a project that might have revolutionized that world. Naturally he should be proud that he had escaped a death game, but, as he continued on bonding with his son on assembling model kits that he had designed himself, he felt hounded by this missed opportunity a lot of times. For four years he had entered this cycle of relief and regret as he continued on with his life, until opportunity had found him again with a QR code for what seemingly to be a link towards that game that was deemed illegal and dangerous. Although he knew that he might die in this world, he thought that he knew his limits anyway and will not do something that his family might regret later on.
