Personality

In the real world, Naomi finds herself secluded from others, her introverted side keeping her from becoming engaged in large groups. Although she has a small collection of friends, she finds most of her companionship online. Reserved, soft spoken and often overlooked, she cares to her own hobbies and maintains a small profile. Due to her more reserved personality, she often finds herself missing opportunities to help those that she wishes to, having no choice but to watch as others step forward - dreaming of the day when she herself can become more courageous.

Naomi's personality and actions change, however, in the online world. While many may claim to be different between their real lives, and those they portray themselves as online, Naomi goes a step further - entering the mindset of Siondhe fully, embracing the character as if it were herself. Stepping beyond the essence of roleplaying, Naomi becomes Siondhe, in mind, body and soul. Energetic, optimistic and ready for adventure, Siondhe can be found nattering non-stop, providing any who will listen with her words - whether they be filled with wisdom, or hollow meaning. Always on the path of righteousness, she's a caring and welcoming player, who wants to help those around her - even at the detriment of herself.

Background

Raised on the island city of Victoria, British Columbia, Naomi was introduced to a balance of environmental engagement activities due to the interest of her parents. Spending her years shifting between outdoor activities focused on health and immersion, as well as fast paced, technological experiences, Naomi was given what many would’ve desired – a robust experience in a variety of different activities.

As a young child, and into her adulting years, Naomi was drawn to animals more than any of the people she had encountered in her life. Although she made a small group of friends, Naomi found herself preferring the company of the family dogs over those humans who wanted to play, going so far as to always bring one of the dogs with her for any engagement.

Although she may have had a plethora of experiences, Naomi found herself drawn towards a very specific catering of experiences; those found within roleplaying games and online multiplayer experiences. Much to the disappointment of her parents, Naomi was drawn to the online community – a place where she could leave behind her social difficulties and become someone else entirely. While her parents disagreed with her chosen activities, they were aware of her social limitations, and allowed Naomi the chance to explore and experience something that might assist her.

Schooling proved to be simplistic for Naomi, and although her grades could be considered mediocre at best, she thrived in any subject that allowed her to simply learn through her own teachings. As the years passed, and Naomi looked towards the future, she chose the one career that would allow her to engage and enjoy the one thing she liked nearly as much as her roleplaying experiences – animals. Her college years passed quickly, and Naomi found herself entering the world as a qualified veterinary technician, focusing on rural based animals.

It was during one of these rural visits that Naomi learnt of the world of TerraSphere, given a digital card that an older farmer had disposed of on her after she had treated their pigs, tossing it aside as little more than a complimentary gift – and clearly not knowing what it truly was. Naomi, through curiosity and interest at the QR Coded card, found herself immersed in a world that gave her an entirely new experience from anything else she had ever played, drawing her in and wrapping her tightly…

Siondhe

Having forgone the typical aspects of combative measures, Siondhe instead looks to empower and protect those around her - calling upon the very weaving of magical energies that flows throughout the world of TerraSphere in order to protect those who she cares for, or whom she happens to be working alongside. Using her magical energies, Siondhe looks to dispel, overcome and otherwise defeat dangers towards herself and her companions, all while maintaining a supportive role within her role(s).

Arts & Techniques

Mid-Ranged Support

Mid-Ranged Assault

Arming herself with a short scythe obtained in her early days of TerraSphere, Siondhe focuses on a mid-ranged supportive role. Using the weapon as much as a spell foci as a weapon itself, Siondhe looks to control the field of battle from behind, assaulting those who get too close for comfort with the blade and dart in order to push them back towards the frontlines.

Although reliant upon her weaving capabilities, Siondhe isn't afraid to leap into the forefront of conflict if required, wielding the scythe with a measure of control and ease that shows she is confident in her skills - even if they are not a focal point of her fighting capabilities.

Spellweaver

Magical Manipulations

Combining her practices in illusionary and natural magics, Siondhe focuses on supporting those around her through the manipulation of their very surroundings - creating imagery and growth where once there was nothing. Focusing on the manipulation of the minds of those around her, Siondhe attempts to dissuade actions, redirect aggressions, and overall afflict her targets with a sense of unease, or differing ideals as required.

While her magical capabilities benefit her in the rush of combat, she has also learnt to use them in a more charismatic and subtle route; providing imagery and other means that can persuade and/or change a person's opinion when conversing, or simply by drawing their attention elsewhere while she takes advantage of their lack of awareness.

Equipment

Weaponry
A lightweight, shorter scythe designed for keeping opponents at a distance, while using the attached chain in order to lash out at those just beyond the reach of the main blade. Often carried in her left hand, Siondhe can use this weapon as both fighting implement, as well as spellweaving foci, in order to optimise her capabilities in combat.

Through continues practice and patience, Siondhe has mastered the skill required to wield the scythe with a single hand, maintaining her left-handed preference with the weapon. Normally keeping the chain wrapped around the hilt and under her palm for control, the chain can be released in an instant to allow the dart to lash out towards those creatures that have gotten too close for comfort - transitioning the weapon from weaving foci to dangerous weapon in the blink of an eye.

Armour
Fox Plate
A single piece of plate armour which has been melded to the outfit that Siondhe wears. Although it is removable - a time consuming and tedious requirement which can be done if so desired - the piece is often left on Siondhe's outfit without consideration or hindrance.

While the breastplate is the main portion of the protective surface, small plates run along the forearms, shoulders and shins of Siondhe's outer layer of her outfit, providing further protection to her vital points while limiting the restrictiveness of movement that heavier armours often take.

Due to the depth of integration into her outfit, the pieces are silent - barely making a whisper as the beastfolk moves through the field of battle, or any other environment she finds herself in - giving her an edge in almost any encounter she may find herself in.

Traits

Amplified Senses (Sight). Your sense of sight is amplified to inhuman levels of sensitivity for you. This expands the range of stimuli you can pick up, allows you to distinguish the minuscule details of that sensory input and generally relays to you far more relevant sensory information about your surroundings. However, since the trait is constantly active, it may cause unintended sensory overloads; for example, extremely bright lights blinding you.
Amplified Senses (Smell). Your sense of smell is amplified to inhuman levels of sensitivity for you. This expands the range of stimuli you can pick up, allows you to distinguish the minuscule details of that sensory input and generally relays to you far more relevant sensory information about your surroundings. However, since the trait is constantly active, it may cause unintended sensory overloads; for example, rancid smells throw off your concentration.
Amplified Senses (Sound). Your hearing is amplified to inhuman levels of sensitivity for you. This expands the range of stimuli you can pick up, allows you to distinguish the minuscule details of that sensory input and generally relays to you far more relevant sensory information about your surroundings. However, since the trait is constantly active, it may cause unintended sensory overloads; for example, sudden bursts of deafening sounds debilitate you.
Amplified Senses (Touch). Your sense of touch is amplified to inhuman levels of sensitivity for you. This expands the range of stimuli you can pick up, allows you to distinguish the minuscule details of that sensory input and generally relays to you far more relevant sensory information about your surroundings. However, since the trait is constantly active, it may cause unintended sensory overloads; for example, the feeling of the wind prickling your skin like needles.
Primal Aura. You can convey a one-way message containing simple ideas, issued commands, or even threats through exerting a primal aura. You can address this message to any living creatures of your choice that you can see within 30 feet. Your target(s) will pick up your message via instinctual response, but cannot respond in kind unless they have this trait as well.
