Personality
OOC Personality - Quiet and reserved, will try to deflect or mitigate the situation rather than be assertive or call attention to herself and her beliefs. She sincerely tries to help those around her that she cares about, but often doubts whether the help she's able to provide is worth contributing. That being said, if she witnesses behavior or overhears conversation that goes too far she will be outspoken about disagreeing with it. She prides herself in being a good friend and being good at internal self-reflection, although the latter has lead to her misinterpreting the actions of others before and can lead to her being impatient with people she determines as hypocritical. Overall she's a hard worker, but struggles greatly with completing busywork.
IC Personality - Her enthusiasm for knowledge and helping others shines through, but gets hindered by ooc introversion and fear of failure. Enjoys crafting and aspires to be a blacksmith, and subscribes to the punk value that such knowledge and expertise should be shared freely. More confident and outgoing than their real-life counterpart, but still tends to stick close to a core friend group.

Background
Raised in a conservative family, Rebekah followed the path from attending private school to college set out for her and enjoyed the structure it provided. Unfortunately, in the open sandbox that is life, she quickly struggled with finding employment and creating a life for herself beyond the structure of her tight-knit family and the school environment. She worked several odd jobs while moving back in with her parents before stumbling into getting a decent-paying library job and moving out of state, but the change in environment left her longing to reconnect with old friends she'd fallen out of touch with after graduating high school.
Even though she hadn't talked to this friend since their sophomore year of college, she couldn't bring herself to delete her friend's number from her phone. Finally one night when all the new changes were too much, Rebekah finally dared to text her friend's old number, uncertain if it even was still their number or if it now belonged to a stranger... or if her old friend had moved on and would want to leave this friendship in the past.
All she got back was an invite link to a VR game called Terrasphere.
Rebekah could've sworn that game was big news a few years back, complete with a PR campaign warning about the dangers of playing it, but all online searches pulled up was private forum speculations of conspiracy and coverup... but it couldn't be true, right? There's no way a government agency could do such a massive coverup without outrage... but what if they could? What if her friend was there - in Terrasphere - and something had gone horribly wrong and this was a cry for help?
There was only one way for Rebekah to get the answers for herself. She clicked the link.
